1 Moisturizing Shampoo. This should be used 1-2x/week depending on your schedule. Choose a shampoo that is Sodium/Ammonium Lauryl Sulfate free. These ingredients tend to strip the hair making it feel squeaky clean.
1 Clarifying Shampoo. A clarifying shampoo should be used 1-2x/month if you are heavy handed with your products/oils etc. By using this shampoo you will remove dirt, build up. It's a great way of starting your hair off fresh for the month. Your hair should feel squeaky clean. Here are some examples:
1 Moisturizing Conditioner & 1 Protein Conditioner. You should follow up with one of these conditioners after every wash. Use either one depending on what your hair needs at the time. I would recommend deep conditioning the hair for 30-45mins preferably with heat (hooded dryer). Protein conditioners are used for rebuilding the hair and giving it strength. Protein conditioners should be followed by a moisturizing deep conditioner to restore moisture and elasticity to the hair. Here are some examples of moisturizing conditioners:
1 Leave-in conditioner. This should be used after washes or as a daily moisturizer. Here are some examples:
Water based moisturizer (1 Moisturizer). Use daily to hydrate the hair. I recommend using your moisturizer 1-2x/day (morning & night). Here are some examples:
Moisturizing: S-Curl, Hollywood Beauty Olive & Carrot Oil, ORS Olive Oil, ORS Carrot Oil, Wave Nouveau Finishing Lotion Protein: Cantu Shea butter, Elasta QP Mango Butter, Profective Healthy ends
Natural Oils are used for sealing in water based moisturizers. Add a light coating of oil to the ends of the hair and work your way up. Don't over do it now!!
The one and only Moroccan Oil
Jamaican Black Castor Oil
Extra Virgin Olive Oil
Avocado Oil
Coconut Oil
Grape Seed Oil
Almond Oil Хобби
Your hair looks great and proof that we can have healthy long natural or relaxed hair depending on how you take care of it.
***** Her ends do not look healthy on the front.

+Nefer Ra Tabu I have known and seen healthy women with long relaxed hair no known tumors or any other problems. I'm natural but don't feel good bashing anyone for their choice that they make with their hair. It doesn't matter what anyone says people will do what makes them happy and is best or easiest/ most convenient for them. If someone's hair is super thick and they have tons of kids why shouldn't they be able to relax their hair if that makes their morning routine a bit easier. (just a scenerio) we gotta live for ourselves not to make others happy or comfortable and be afraid so they will not come for us on blogs and other social networks. Have a great evening and take care love.
+Nefer Ra Tabu I bet u used to have a relaxer lmaooo.
So glad I found this, I attempted to go natural for 7 months... Never again !! The natural thing isn't for everyone , I got a perm two weeks ago and needed a regimen . Thanks Dyamond !!
alyasia maddox how is it holding up?
AlyasiaCouture I agree!!!
Same. Too much work.
You were born natural! How is it ‘not for everyone’?
@@joyjoy449 it's okay to say it's not your thing but I don't think it's fair to say it's too much work...lol it's YOUR hair on YOUR body! PRIORITIES
I'm a natural, but your hair is proof that you can have healthy long relaxed hair as well. You make me want to relax :)..Beautiful healthy hair!
Depends what you mean by healthy...anything that breaks down the hairs natural protein layer is damaging...but her hair might look nice anyway..its all about that really.
I’m debating on going back relaxed . I was relaxed before and found that my hair really grew like wildfires. Now that I’ve been natural I feel like the process is slower and my hair is always in protective styles.
my hair grow faster when its relaxed ..!!
Right mine too! and OMG you're profile pic!!! Gajeel and Levy!!!!
Me too ! I’m textlaxed and my hair is now past bra strap easily
Lol that's a myth that has nothing to do with your roots. It's manipulation and ur routine
It didn't grow because of the relaxer. It just looks like it grew because you straightened it and it's streched lol.
Same for me!!
I was with you until you said 1-2 relaxers a year. My hair is 4z and once it starts getting too thick, there is no amount of softening that will prevent my hair from breaking badly. I usually go 10 -12 weeks which is 4x per year to prevent my hair from breaking but still healthy
Thanks for responding but I'm not the YT type. LOL. I depend on yall for helping me..LOL
***** If she meant to say 4C hair, I have a video up that shows my 4C hair journey from a bald big chop, to being natural for several years, and now currently back to relaxers. It's on my channel if you want to check it out and share. Thanks in advance!
catmo59 Hi, my hair if a 4C (if that's what you have) and I go every six months for a relaxer as well. I know the struggle once that new growth comes in but honestly, you can "train" your hair to become more manageable to go longer in between relaxers.
The Mo Show how do you train your hair? i started stretching my relaxers and all it did was make my hair thin from all the breakage :(
Lol 4z
Your hair is laaaaaiiiidddddd
I honestly didn't realize that the permed hair routine was nearly exact to my natural hair routine! Now that my hair is relaxed I was wondering what to do next. Now I know.
I didn't either until I texlaxed my hair after being natural for almost 6 years and was doing research on how to care for it. I definitely feel being natural gave me the foundation for healthy texlaxed hair.
Yasss! I be feenin' for one of your relaxed hair videos! Since the whole "natural movement" it seems that new, relaxed, hair care videos are extinct on YT now! Thanks!
great tips! however there are some person where really long stretches causes excessive breakage for them. So i believe if the most you can do is three months that is great, if you can go longer kudos to you but listen to your hair. But please dont relax your hair with less than 8 weeks of growth and also you can coat your previously relaxed hair with an oil to prevent overprocessing.
J Charles I totally agree, it all depends on each person and how long their hair can take stretching. I relax my hair every 3-4 months, I have seen nothing but good results. And I like you said coating the previously relaxed ends is soo important.
Sally Asantewaa yes definitely. I'm one of those people who experiences breakage from long stretches.
J Charles ur right.my hair gets really thick after two months and the different textures causes breakage which i dont want so i relax every two to three months
Great
Joshie ?
Your hair looks so good. I really appreciate this video and all the other hair videos. Thanks for always listing products in the description bar. I still go back to all your hair videos for recommended products. You always look out for us thx boo 😘
I will try it Lord help me because I am one of those girl who do not like puffs, wigs, or sew ins!
AMEN AMEN AMEN..ME EITHER 😇💙💥💯
some of these "natural hair nazi's" act as if you can't have healthy relaxed hair. i understand some people abuse relaxers by getting them every month or every chance they get but relaxers aren't as harmful if you know what you're doing.
I'm so glad I found your page! Your tips are very helpful! Thank you so much!
She is telling the truth. I watched her videos when she had short hair. And look at her now!!!
Thanks Diamond! I been on my journey since January 2015 and the results speaks for it self! I'm reaping the rewards now! Thank you 4 inspiring sooooooo many of us! Keep the videos coming! You truly appreciated by me! Thanks again. .........
I'm SO Glad I Found Your Channel. I've Been Looking For Relaxed Hair Vids For The Longest But All I've Found Are Ones Over Natural Hair. Thanks For The Tips And I Absolutely Love Your Hair. It Looks So Thick And Healthy.
YOU ARE SO BEAUTIFUL. YOUR HAIR LOOKS SO HEALTHY AND IT IS BEAUTIFUL. YOUR VIDEOS HAVE HELPED ME SO MUCH. I AM LEARNING TO STRETCH MY RELAXERS MORE. SEW INS, DEEP CONDITIONING AND MOISTURIZING AND SEALING HAVE GOTTEN MY HAIR GROWING. YEARS OF NOT TAKING CARE OF MY HAIR THE PROPER WAY HAS CAUSED BREAKAGE IN THE MIDDLE OF MY HAIR. I AM GOING TO KEEP WATCHING YOUR VIDEOS BECAUSE THEY ARE SO HELPFUL. THANK YOU SO MUCH MS. BEAUTIFUL.
I'm natural and I'm soooo happy that you're putting out all this vital information for all the relaxed girls!
Your videos are on point. Not a lot of people list a lot of products but your techniques have worked for me. Thank you so much.
Girl thank you so much for bringing us a new video. I subscribed about a week ago and I took some tips from your last videos and used them. I started my hair journey a couple weeks ago and I am going HARD for my hair!!! Had some shedding a couple days so I'm still working on balancing my moisture and protein. I got my oil game up, girl I'm doing it lol!!! Thank you again and please keep the videos coming, we love em!
Thanks for all the info. Your hair is beautiful. Keep the tips coming. Subscribed and liked!!!

Girl you inspire me to stay on my journey..... I was so ready to give up! I even gave you a shout out on one of my videos for helping me to stay focused and never give up!!!!
and people say that black women can grow their own hair.... That'a a liie!! Your hair is beautiful!!
Old news darling... old news
***** I didnt know this comment offended you,, I didnt know that it was referring to you. I;m far from ignorant but have a nice day doll!!!
***** I apologize i read it the wrong way.
Can yall stop saying this? We all know many black women can grow their hair. This just screams insecure
lovelylady2910 yessssss! Omg I was thinking the same thing. That makes you look like you're trying to convince yourself more then anybody else.
Your is growing very nicely and your skin has cleared up tremendously. Everything you've stated, I believe is correct and can be applied to relaxed and natural hair. Thanks for listing products you use.
Love the advice you provided. Everything you stated can be utilized for either relax or natural hair. I agree with you 100% concerning the 4-6 weeks applying a relaxer. before I went natural I think I stretch my relaxers for a nice moment. But never thought of doing them once or twice a year. Watching your video making me realized more that after 2 yrs I still have not develop a regimen for my hair. Your hair is gorgeous keep up your great care.
great video and tips, i really like how you listed everything. thank you
Omg this video and all your hair videos have helped my hair care regimen tremendously. Thank you so much
Your video's is so helpful! Thanks for sharing. Keep posting!
Thank you so much for being so detailed. Your hair is beautiful. Xoxo
Thank you so much for this video. It's hard to find someone who is not on this natural hair kick that going all around RUclips. I mean it's fine if you wanna go natural but they make it seem like if you wanna stay relaxed its the worst thing ever. Like please! I'm gonna stay relaxed. I'm down to 3 relaxers a year now. Love your tips. You the best girl. Tfs. Much appreciated.
I appreciate you helping us I'm DEFINITELY gonna try your routine hopefully by this time next year I'll see the results I'm looking for.
Love your video, so motivational, I've been following your channel for a while, and have recommend your channel to others trying to grow healthy relaxed hair. Thank You, and your hair looks so healthy and beautiful.
sold!!! I'm a fan. I'm so indecisive about my hair and if I follow this I get the best of ALL worlds!!!
Everytime I get off track of my hair care... I always seem to come back to this video
Great tips! Thank you so much for sharing with us! Documenting the progress is particularly important...gives you motivation to keep going with a healthy routine! xo
This video is like a fine vine ! I remember watching it 4 years ago and it still as great !
Love, love, love this video and your advice. I'm actually a natural hair woman, but the points you make on hair growth are many of the things that I do to maintain my hair and that of my 3 year old. I wish you all the best on your hair journey. I'll be keeping up with you. You give me some things to compare notes to with my son's girlfriend :). God bless!!!!!
This a really good and informative video. I started my relaxed hair journey October 2014 and a video like this would have been so helpful. You covered a lot the major basics needed in preparation of starting a hair journey. Keep up with the good info!
Not only is your hair beautiful, but your skin is as well. You just glow Thank you for your tips. Very helpful!
Girl I love those flared ballerina pink nails! I could not take my eyes off them! Adorable!
You do such a great job on your hair!
beautiful hair and it shows, you put max time and effort towards it! This video was very informative. I was able to grow my hair somewhat long about to midway of my chest. I could not get it any longer. I guess it's about time to update my routine and put more maintenance towards my hair. Again very helpful video!!
Luv ur hair!!!!! ❤️❤️ I will be trying all that you've said!!!
DAMNNNN! Your hair grows so fast
Your videos are so informative! I am a licensed cosmetologist. However when I was going to school we as ethnic women we're not fully informed. We we're still figuring it out. I am natural because relaxers we're not conducive to my lifestyle, but I still use your tips. I'm now about to switch things up and get a more consistent regimen for me and my daughter. So thanks a million for sharing in great length what you have experienced and learned throughout your journey.
Great video.. yeah natural is not for everyone and needed a great video on how to grow and maintain permed hair. Thanks!
loved it! missed you on here!
so glad to hear that I don't need a relaxer every 3 to 8 weeks, love your video
Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU!!! You so just got a new subscriber, lol.
I accidentally stumbled onto the fewer relaxers and less heat train simply from being dissatisfied every time I got my hair done, which began restoring my length at a pretty amazing rate, but I was really wanting to take my hair care to the next level. I figured moisturizing would have something to do with it, but I wasn't really sure because I'm not exactly a "hair person". I'm honestly the ponytail queen, lol. These steps seem so very doable, though, and don't raise any alarm with my internal instincts so I'm grateful to you and the fact that you aren't sitting on this knowledge.
Anyhow, long rant aside, I look forward to learning from you!
Oh! and your hair looks great :)
thanks!!!! my hair has always grown without a regimen but I'm gonna make it healthy like u said which is important
wow.
beautiful and so much information.
Thanks
thank you for sharing!!! this is great info!
Thank you so much for these information
It will change my whole life
V05 Moisture Milks Strawberries & Cream is one of my favorite Cowashing conditioners ever! I also like to use a little as a leave-in before lightly sealing with oil.
Yes I still love your old videos
your hair is so healthy! It looks so lovely.
i was into natural hair for years but my preference has changed
.. i love this look
I've watched the first video also. Your tips have helped to greatly improve retention of length in my hair. Braiding during the times I wanted to relax helped also. Moisturizing and sealing has become my friend. Thanks.
Thank you so for this video, it was very informative. Now time to watch it again & take notes! New subbie
Girl I'm late but yes. I have below the shoulders natural hair that i just relaxed less than half an hour ago. So I'm searching for a routine and here you came. Thank you.
informative. thanks. your hair looks great!
This is awesome ! I wish I knew then everything I know now about taking care of my hair. I am 1 month natural now after a year of transitioning with braids. I was forced to go natural because my hair broke off so much over the years while it was relaxed. I could not maintain length pass my shoulders. And now that I think about it, it was because of the lack of education. I take better care of my hair now that it is natural, when I should have been doing that when it was relaxed as well and maybe I would not have went natural. I got relaxers every six weeks but the problem was that I used too much heat and that I barely co washed or shampooed bc i didn't want to have to flat iron my puffy hair. I only deep conditioned when I relaxed my hair and washed it maybe once in between relaxers :(. This video just makes me miss my hair relaxed because I know now that I would probably do a better job taking care of it then I did before. But it's okay because I also love my natural hair :)))
Your video is helpful, Thank you for sharing☺❤
Great tips thanks will definitely follow! I cannot find the crème of nature's red and green labels moisturizing shampoos any where, I heard it was discontinued, I use to use it years back and absolutely loved it!
Very informative video! Thanks!
Hey your hair looks amazing keep up the great work! I would like to know what relaxer do you use?
LOVE YOUR HAIR ..JUST STARTED MY RELAXED HAIR JOURNEY FEB 2015..SO FAR SO GOOD. #NEW SUBBIE
I wanna thank you for your regimen my hair has grew a lot and it is more healthy
Omg!!!! I so agree I use to get relaxers 2 a year and my hair grew like crazy but when I did it frequently my hair stood still and began to break like crazy .... I'm definitely using your regimen because I've been natural for two years and I'm not feeling it ....
Hi girl, since i loved your video, i love you too for all those good advices and tips. Thank you :)
Thank you for your hair care knowledge ☺
I just came across this video. I first must say that you have a beautiful hair. I have been using a relaxer for the past 20 years every 2-3 months ("just for me" only) . My hair has been just like you said THERE! a little below my shoulders for the past 20 years. Now I have changed my routine completely in the last year but I still continued to use relaxer. I am due for one this month but I am gonna take your advice and wait 6 months. I will get back to you on my results! 😊 cheers!
Thank you for your video!! Please could we see an update on your edges next x
Ive gotta say tht my hair didnt start growing until i starting clipping those ends( It doesnt matter wht i do to my hair as long as i clip my ends, IT GROWS..period)....ladies dnt want to clip bc they want length, however thts why their hair wont grow, period... LADIES go & CLIP THOSE ENDS!!!
I agree with you those ends gotta be trimmed
How often did you trim your hair
I trim my hair as soon as i see tht it may have a frayed tip... if its frayed at the ends, cut them immediately...
Amen amen. My mom clipped my ends every 4 months as a lil girl. My entire childhood I had people asking me was I wearing a weave. It wasn't until I got grown and stopped trimming my ends regularly that my hair stopped growing the way it used to. Now that I keep my ends trimmed my hair is back to once again growing like the weed.
Same here!
THIS WAS A GREAT VIDEO!!!!!!!!!!!! IM GONNA TRY IT! THANK YOU
Girl thanks so Much for all this Info Your hair looks beautiful I hope I can gain that length...Again thanks for the help...❤❤❤❤
Your hair is really beautiful and long ...Thanks for the video and information
I am a new subscriber to your channel and I must say that you have changed my outlook on relaxed hair. I have been relaxed for almost 6 years and my hair broke really bad then i cut it and now i am trying to grow it back but i don't know how to take care of my hair properly. I was thinking about going natural because i thought that it would help my hair but you are proof that relaxed or not, hair can still be natural. I am going to try your hair care regimen and i hopefully my hair takes to it.
Amazing presentation!!!
This was so helpful , thank u!
Chile I relax my hair twice a year. That’s good for me. 😘Your hair is beautiful. I’m growing my hair long in shoulder length now.. God Bless. New Subbie here..👋🏽😍
Great video. I have already gotten myself to two relaxers a year for like 3 years now but I can never find the right shampoos, conditioners, and moisturizers. I'm going to go out and get some new stuff to start in July. Thanks for the tips gorgeous.
@softeshdyamond I personally wanted to say thank u. The information u shared, the research u did & the time u took to do it all for free has been a real blessing to people mature enough to receive it. Also u are an example of what you've taught us.
U do not deserve all the negative comments from immature & rude people. Ur hair is beautiful & ur skin is flawless which would suggest to me u really take care of yourself.
A lot of the things you've mentioned here I learned by trial & error but I was doing some of the out of order so this video has been most helpful to me & thank u again... Oh btw plz don't allow people to discourage u from doing what u luv bcuz the way I see it you've gotta be passionate about it to do all this without pay & lil appreciation.
girl yyyeeeeesssssss...thank you for this video ppl always think natural is the only way...i havent relaxed my hair in 2 years but i use texturizes in the same manor in between 2 or 3 wig installs throughout the year and my hair has been healthy at bra strap length for a min...i feel like you no to natural but kudos to those who can
I thank you for taking the time to teach us how to grow our hair. You were very convincing to me.
I have being trying to find a moisturizing Cholesterol which one would you recommend?
I just relaxed my hair after 3 years natural and was looking for information on how to keep my hair healthy and growing thank you for this information. Now I can start my journey on keeping healthy growing relaxed hair after going natural..
Thank you so much for this video!!!
Thank you for posting this video.
havent watched yet! but been waiting on this video for a hot minute.
I'm so hurt and sad, I cut all my hair off listening to people regarding natural hair, I'm 5 months natural and hair is in shock, it refuses to stay moistured. I just need a little help regarding my thinning edges while l aged, i had healthy hair for years with a relaxer i just ran across low iron, stress and not being knowledgeable on hair..I'm balling my eyes out, i should not cut my hair...thank you for video
+Theblackbumblebee ! I'm currently going through the same thing. I did not want to go natural but I figured I would try to and I hate it and want to go back to relaxing again
***** thank you my sister beauty isnt my life but I hate not feeling beautiful if you know what I mean..thank you so much
+Theblackbumblebee ! You are still beautiful!!! Don't beat yourself up for cutting your hair. It WILL grow back. In the meantime, experiment with some low manipulation hairstyles, while keeping your hair in the healthiest shape at all times. Follow the tips of trusted bloggers and stay positive!
Yes!! I love having relaxed hair!!
Natural hair is easy to deal with if you always have it braided or twisted. You can wash and mosturize your hair as you please with out having to detangle EVERY DAY. To much combing causes damage. I barely have my 4C hair in a fro my hair grows faster in braids. Once I take my braids out on to the next protective style..
If u perfer having a fro but can't deal with the tangles it comes with natural hair isn't for you
Excellent information. Lovelyl hair!
love this video!! I was natural for two years then went back to relaxers. hair is still healthy. and yes I do relaxers literally twice a year. my hair is naturally thick and it grows fast. but taking care of it is key (and genetics lol). but thanks for this video. You're beautiful!!
This video is very helpful I would love to see a night time routine for your hair and how you would style it in the morning
Thanks soo much for this very informative video
Thanks this was super informative!
You're an awesome educator! #LoveTheResults
