    I'm a license cosmetologist and I've been 1 for years. I stress 2 my clients you need to practice healthy hair regime at home after u leave the salon. I also tell them 2 stretch there relaxers as long as possible. All stylist aren't just out for your coins. I really want 2 help people achieve their healthy hair goals. I love watching your videos and I think your hair looks amazing.

      Fancy Fran my stylist keeps telling me I need to relax sooner than 8 weeks. So I've been doing 6-7. I was reluctant at first but I agree with her that stretching isn't for everyone. My hair will get dry and break in the 7-8 week range. Your opinion?

    Hi!! Thank you so much for these hair regimen videos. They have certainly helped me to start my own hair regimen. The results have been great so far. I do have some questions about your routine when you stretch your relaxers. I want to start but I have been so afraid of breakage but I will go gradually and increase the weeks as soon as I know the right process to use. You mentioned that you take out your braids and wash your hair every 3 weeks when stretching. What are all the products you use when doing that? And do you do the pre poo treatment first before every wash? And that week you wash, do you also do a cowash the same week while stretching? I know that too much hair manipulation during stretching could cause breakage. What is the routine process you use while stretching and using your wigs?

  • @tarachristine5727
    @tarachristine5727 7 лет назад

    i also agree that weave grows your hair. I grew like 4-5 inches in a year from weave. low manipulation. just make sure its not too tight and you are still moisturizing the hair underneath via drip tip bottle and shampooing/conditioning the same way

    You really can't trust anyone with your hair if you value it. Watching this channel basically teaches you to take care of your hair on your own. A lot of beauticians will make you hair smell real nice and make it look cuter than usual but won't give you the right r any advice so you have to rely on them in someway like she basically said. Stretching your relaxer is definitely the truth caz my hair is thicker from doing it. I get one every three months. She clearly knows what she talking about ppl

Has done wonders for my hair I don't know if you remember but I was saying that I was going to relax my hair twice a year I had a little breakage,.... but not much my hair is probably now 25 inches .when I started this hair journey I wasn't making any comments on your videos my hair was like 17 inches so I do the same routine that you have everything, I told you my daughter do it as well she had to go natural because she has eczema and the chemicals would burn her head but she does it as well I just want to thank you so much and my daughter Virginia said thank you as well😙💖

    I know what you mean about the hairstylists in the salons because a lot of them will say things to scare you so that way they can get your money. I switched hairstylists because she was very rude and disrespectful towards me and she always told me that I need to get my hair relaxed every 6 weeks and I told her that I'm not going to do that and she was upset that I told her that, I also used to stay in the salon for at least 5 hours every time I went there I got fed up with her and her BS and left. I then found a new hairstylist and she relaxes my hair every 8 weeks. I think I'm going to change it and get a relaxer every 12 weeks which is every 3 months. I never did 12 weeks before, but I'm willing to try it. My hair is passed my chin and I want it to grow down to my shoulders and my back. I will take your advice to see if my hair is going to grow longer.

    Hey Sweetheart I have watched almost all your videos in a matter of a week lol I came across your channel because I wanted to start learning more about makeup, how to do my own. One thing that drew me more into your videos is your hair regimen and how amazing, how healthy it turned out for you and God bless that beautiful hair. IT IS GORGEOUS. I do have some questions because I have damaged my hair and finally I came across your video which is the miracle lol. My first question is 1) To start this hair regimen, do I have to cut my hair off? 2) I recently relaxed my hair about 3 weeks ago and the last time before that was about 2 years and a half, would it affect me if I start the regimen? And last question lol 3)Co-Washing? I've seen you talk about it in your videos but I still don't get a good understanding on it, once I apply the conditioner to my hair do I let it air dry or rinse it out? Sorry I sound silly but I just want to make sure I'm doing it right :)

    • @nicolehunter9731
      @nicolehunter9731 8 лет назад

      No you don't have to cut your hair off, you relaxed your hair 3 weeks ago no it wouldn't effect you to start a healthy hair journey at anytime the key is stretching the time between your relaxers, so you don't over process or cause damage, the key word in cowashing is washing meaning you wash your hair with conditioner, so no you don't leave it in you always wash out your cowash again your cleansing your hair I know I'm extremely late but I hope that helps

    i bought aphogee (with organic coconut oil and bloke hair treatment) my damaged hair has already started to grow. It has been 2 weeks. I will now get relaxers twice a year. my hairdresser (paid 80 dollars for her) told me to get a perm every 6 weeks. smh. My hair has never been so damaged and short because of this. As soon as she saw more damage she would cut it off more.

    I give zero ***** about my edges. I've abandoned edge control after having edge loss due to alcohol in the product. I don't straighten my edges even after and air dry. I've embraced the nappy edges. hate on it lol and weaves were great protective styles for me. My new stylist is a lot more concerned about my edges and not braiding too tight than my last one. She's the one who told me I was losing my edges, I hadn't even noticed!

    • @kraziikiim
      @kraziikiim 9 лет назад +1

      Lol the loc method is moisturizing and sealing. L stands for liquid (example water) O stands for oil (example coconut oil) C stands for cream (example a creamy moisturizer/butter). You would add these products in that order to moisturize and seal your hair

    So I just finished my 6 month relaxer and no heat stretch and my hair just won't stop breaking, for the six months I wore protective styles (braids,weave) and I ALWAYS moisturize my hair while protective styling. I've gave my hair a break from the weaves and I'm wearing my hair out but it's breaking a lot and i don't know why. I pre poo before I wash my hair and I deep condition. The only heat I use on my hair is a blow drier and I always use heat protection. I've tried aphogee protein treatment but it didn't work. Any suggestions ?

      If you don't include enough protein in your regimen it will break. You don't want to have moisture overload or protein overload try to keep it balanced.
