What makes me sad as a frequently anemoic gen Z kid born in 2000, is that while today I don't have to choose between psychedelic rock, glam rock, grunge, or any of the various popular genres or aesthetics of the 20th century, I can just put them all in the same class and enjoy all of them. But when all the movements I look back on were new, people had to choose between them. People had to choose to "move on" from "outdated" glam rock of the 80s to the understated grunge of the 90s. I loved hearing hard rock and metal in 1980s horror movies! What happened to this? Nothing was better than a Freddy Kruger, Zombie or Mutant movie with a metal song in it!
I am the original drummer of Warrant. I was there at The Beverly Theater the night Ratt got signed. I saw them once before that at the UCLA Mardi Gras. Amazing times
When music was music. I saw the RATT Poison concert in Columbus Ohio in 1987 and they rocked. Took those memories back to school since I was on Christmas break. RIP Robin Crosby.
What today's kids and even those that grew up in more of the 90s than say the 80s don't understand is that it wasn't just metal music that kicked ass but all the rock scene was far better than anything. Even what would have been considered pop in the 80s, Michael Jackson & Madonna for instance just was so far above. The 80s was truly the best music decade. There will never be anything like it.

Waldenbooks, Camelot Records all in the video are gone, but RATT remains. Timeless.
This entire album is soooo good! The way it's mixed and the performances sound even better today in my car. Fucking masterpiece.
I loved hearing hard rock and metal in 1980s horror movies! What happened to this? Nothing was better than a Freddy Kruger, Zombie or Mutant movie with a metal song in it!
Bring Back the 80s! Best teenage years I could ever have.
I am the original drummer of Warrant. I was there at The Beverly Theater the night Ratt got signed. I saw them once before that at the UCLA Mardi Gras. Amazing times
Back when malls were fun to hang out at and shop in stores!! Better days for sure.
When music was music. I saw the RATT Poison concert in Columbus Ohio in 1987 and they rocked. Took those memories back to school since I was on Christmas break. RIP Robin Crosby.
I was at that concert too! Good times !
Hats off to Robin who would have been 59 today!
We all miss King
Chris Johnston ❤️
King was a force to be reckoned with, didn't he stand at 6'6"? no one , i mean NO ONE messed with KING!
NMJ yep. He was a hottie.
@golfrockstr You mean the needle fresh.
