They smoke all hair metal bands. Better songs, lyrics, and their playing is better than the rest. Most hair bands were all flash and no substance or they had a few hits then disappeared. Ephesians 6:12 King James Version 12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
Funny I knew a lot of guitar players that chose lesser guitar players over Warren. Always being shadowed by Eddie and Yngwie. The whole band was greatness but because it was considered big hair metal. a lot of people chose Guns and Roses or Metallica and brushed them under the rug in the later 80s. I hated that the hair metal bands were considered posers and didn’t get credit like they should have until poison came out and blew it for all of them! Still was the greatest era to be a musician though.
@@johnfreel6004 good point. I guess in our little band of merry men that I grew up playing guitar with he was a pretty big influence. Others that I was influenced by were the guys in Judas Priest and Iron Maiden and also Vivian Campbell from Dio and Randy Rhoads from Ozzy. Yngwie, Steve Via and all the Shrapnel guys came a little later. I really can't say that I was influenced much by Eddie. I appreciate him and his playing but not really much of an influence when I started.

Yeah you’re absolutely right… they were amazing with Robbin ❤😢!!!
They smoke all hair metal bands. Better songs, lyrics, and their playing is better than the rest. Most hair bands were all flash and no substance or they had a few hits then disappeared. I have no clue who they pissed off but they should be bigger than Motley and Poison. Ratt, Def Leppard, & VH were the best overall rock bands of this era.

Warren D Martini was one overlooked bad ass!!! He never got the attention he should have! I’m a lead guitar player from the 80s and this guy lays out master feel, and every lead is so hard to copy because he’s that special!
Ephesians 6:12
King James Version
12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
I don't know any guitarist that overlooked Warren when I started playing in the 80's.
Me too!! Eddie was great but I stayed away from trying to play like him! So many were trying too! But man was that the era for rock! Rock was finally royalty in the 80s! Now we are old farts and the new generation of Hip Hop has taken over.😔 Wish you well though and miss our era!

Out on the streets, that's where we'll meet
You make the night, I always cross the line
Tightened our belts, abused ourselves
Get in our way, we'll put you on your shelf
Another day, some other way
We're gonna go, but then we'll see you again
I've had enough, we've had enough
Cold in vain, she said
I knew right from the beginning
That you would end up winning
I knew right from the start
You'd put an arrow through my heart
Round and round
With love we'll find a way, just give it time
Round and round
What comes around goes around
I'll tell you why, dig
Lookin' at you, lookin' at me
The way you move, you know it's easy to see
The neon light's on me tonight
I've got a way, we're gonna prove it tonight
Like Romeo to Juliet
Time and time, I'm gonna make you mine
I've had enough, we've had enough
It's all the same, she said
I knew right from the beginning
That you would end up winning
I knew right from the start
You'd put an arrow through my heart
Round and round
With love we'll find a way, just give it time
Round and round
What comes around goes around
I'll tell you why, yeah
Out on the streets, that's where we'll meet
You make the night, I always cross the line
Tightened our belts, abused ourselves
Get in our way, we'll put you on your shelf

With love we'll find a way, just give it time

This riff and guitar sound for this song has always been one of my favorites. It's raw like a punk or death rock band from the 80s as well. Great damn stuff.
Added to that the raw vocals... just enough musicality but with such an edge. This RATT song is probably my favorite 80s metal band song... period. Motley Crue with Live Wire coming in second.
Great riff they definitely knew what they were doing unlike the other jokers at the time

One of the best guitar solos of all time! Incredible doubling w tremolo. After all these years..Just perfect!
Doesn’t match the song at all! But that’s the best part. In the early 80’s, the guitar solo was a separate thing! It was a showcase of sorts. It didn’t have to match
