Cyan Intro's from Myst, Riven, and realMyst: Masterpiece Edition

- Just a short little video from one of my favorite game developers, Cyan while I make an X Plane video. They make the Myst Series which is one of my favorite PC Game Series. I highly recommend these games for anyone who likes puzzle games a challenge :) I hope you enjoy!

riven one is the best , more mysterious and mystical , ie myst
Riven was the first of the series i played so its definitely up on my list, i do love the little jingle the myst games give you though :)
Love this intro, brings back my old memory of playing Myst, one of the first CD-ROM based games.
Those were the days. I remember playing Riven with all 5 discs haha
The RIVEN opening gives me chills every time it plays.
One of my favorite things about the last one is that the logo actually transitions into the setting sun over myst island.

Myst gets award for most satisfying and Riven the coolest - the way it opens up to the sky makes it kind of freeing.
The Myst V logo video is almost the same as RealMyst, with a cooler logo at the end.
Agreed 👌 the music for the myst ones is my favorite but rivens is good too

I love all their intros honestly hahaha😂❤️. But the intro logo of Riven is still the best. The immersion made me think Riven is a movie, except that I have to play it hard unlike Myst🤣❤️. It’s so engaging that I couldn’t sleep without knowing what will happen next. The end was a really good blast of satisfaction❤️❤️❤️
Yup, all the intros are fantastic. Riven is definitely my favorite of the 4 ive played

Was about to mention the dagger in the third one, but then I saw two others mention it.
It is quite the easter egg, good eyes !
It's a little blurry in this version, but they also added the Spaceship and Clock Tower from Myst Island. There also seems to be some kind of structure built into the side of the mountain, I think it might be the Library?
The second is the best.
Id say riven is definitely the best game but i love the classic intro the best 👍👍

What is the significance of that dagger looking object they've added at 1:06?
Thats the Moiety Dagger, not to sure what the significance of it is but heres a link to it on their wiki

My guess is that it's just a nice visual reference to Riven.
Oh good, I'm glad I'm not the only one who noticed.
One small correction - the third intro shown is from realMyst Masterpiece Edition, not realMyst. realMyst had an intro similar to the first one shown in this group

I hope, cyan will return to the riven version for future games
Maybe when the Starry Expanse Project finally is released they will go back to it
