Not surprised that the Bronco won with its much chunkier tires. This just shows us that the tires on a 4x4 mean more than all the power and offroad tech these trucks have.

A basic Walmart tow strap that size is rated for 8,000 lbs, or 4 tons. By law, most equipment is rated to half of its actual breaking point for safety. For example, a 5 ton jack can actually lift 10 tons before failure. The Defender's dry weight is 5,700lbs, with equipment and a man driving, it is likely around 6,000 lbs in this video. Remember the slippery conditions can hinder the pulling power of a vehicle. All the strap has to do is overcome the weight of the loosing vehicle, which is 6,000lbs. However, considering the strap is not holding up the vehicle and the slippery conditions, it could be pulling just 3,000-4,000 lbs. That is why I said "it is not pulling that much weight" COMPARED to its capabilities. Now, may I ask why you would strap a person to two opposing vehicles when a human has no where the capabilities of a basic Walmart tow strap?
