I like how you say to branch out and look for different types of projects to do at your job. I try to do that where I’m at now, on top of doing my assigned work. The narrative I hear a lot is “just do the bare minimum” or “don’t try too hard”. While I get where they’re coming from - it’s more of a “stick it to the man” kind of phrase rather than having a growth mindset.
