How is the competition for Data Analyst Jobs on Upwork? I've scanned about five pages with reasonable pay between 30 and 80 $ per hour and jobs that were posted up to a week ago, most of them only had 20 to 50 proposals. Which doesn't seem to be much competition. Anyone here has experience getting those jobs on Upwork, say as an average skilled Data Analyst? How many proposals you have to send to get a gig? Thank you for answering in advance!

I come from a non technical background with 15 plus years of experience into HR. I decided to switch to Data Analytics 2 years back and took up the initial courses. I failed miserably at it because I realised that coding is not my cup of Hot Chocolate. But, I have decided to give myself another chance now. I am now learning and practicing code with SQL and Python. One secret hack that has worked for me is to think of realtime situations and come up with a code around that. And then I jump on to tools like Google Colab, Google DeepMind, and Gemini to help me not just code, but to understand the basic syntax behind the situation. I don't spend time on understanding the whole 80 lines of code. I focus only on the 8 lines of code where the crux of the code lies. I know it is not going to be easy, but then it does help with people like you trying to make us aware of such things.
