Hey its may 6 2024 and I am starting my learning journey ….. lets track our progress
After watching so many videos, I felt completely clueless. Just came across your video all I want to say is thank you for creating a straightforward roadmap for beginners who are struggling. God bless you.
Thanks for your insights! I appreciate the frankness of your advice about what most likely will or won't work and what skills to prioritize. Data is definitely the new gold, and so is this content!
Thank you for watching!
Great video. I'm in academia and relatively proficient at R for basic data analysis, but I want to take my skills to the next level. This video helped point me in the right direction! Making your own website and posting projects on there is a great idea.
Cheers mate
Going to start the google data analyst cert today, been struggling to find a career to stop and work towards and found this vey helpful. Not like you meant it literally but just going to commit to this for 3 months and see what happens wish me luck!

Most useful video I have seen during past couple of ways, good effort mate!
Thank you! Watching from the Dominican Republic 🇩🇴
This is such a strong video, fantastic primer and explaination as to why you need to do what to do.
I've been intimidated by financial data as part of the analyst pathway, but knowing that there are resources to train on and to apply statistical knowledge is a relief, rather than doing so on the job. Thank you so much for your video!
Thank you! I'm glad it was helpful
Thanks for producing this video. I've enrolled on the Stanford course. Great step by step view.
Thank you for watching! Good luck on your course

This is helpful, thanks! I recently started my journey to becoming a Data Analyst but started out with SQL. I almost gave up! haha! It definitely makes sense to start with the basics of Statistics and Excel.
I feel disheartened, as I hate Excel with a passion but need new career path
Great great great video. I feel very lucky for found you.
One f the most important skill is to be great communicator, for me this is the most challenging soft skill to master
youre absolutely right. too much focus on the technical skills leaving out the most important skill of communicating
Totally agree

Glad it was helpful!
This was very helpful and provided a ton of action items. Thank you!!
Thank you for watching!
GREAT PIECE OF CONTENT BRO
These frequent camera cuts make me feel so nauseous. Please cut down on them because you make really good content, but they are borderline unwatchable for those who are averse to this amount of camera movement.
Noted. Will fix next video
Snowflake
Second that. As in most things in life less is more
Hey it’s okay he is amateur video editor 😂
That’s why he’s a data analyst and not a filmmaker 😂
Very helpful for somebody wants to be data analyst
You cannot believe how much this video is useful for a guy who is stuck between a lot of confusion to start a career as a data analyst. Thank you so much 😊
Glad you found it helpful!
This is amazing bro.

Excellent video. You just saved me a ton of time. I just decided to make a career pivot into data analytics and this video was so informative. I really appreciate it.
You're very welcome!
Day 1 - enrolled in google data analytics course and intro to statistics course
I got what i was looking for to start my career as in - Real estate data analytic or into business analytics opportunity. After encountering so many fake videos on you-tube and shortcuts, finally i got the clear road map in 12min, Why, What and How ! Thanks for this amazing video. I'm going to start from now.
Awesome! Good luck on your journey
@@rohanadus I was reading your e book. This is a GOLD MINE for me! Appreciate your effort.
Hey can you tell me any RUclips Channel Video or Course Available for free into "Python for Data Analytics" I appreciate your reply.
Great stuff!
Thanks for watching!
Thank you a lot!
This is true. I started June 2023. Got the job Aug 2023 straight to what is considered a mid senior level salary especially in my region + 2 pay rises without a degree. Got awarded a recognition trophy by Feb 2024. I posted this for anyone thinking about it to go for it before even finishing the courses. You'll learn more on the job. My strongest suit? Not the technical skills but strong collaborative relationships with stakeholders and existing transferrable skills. Good luck.
Yes, i completely agree!
thank you so much!!!
I'm an accountant working at a big4 firm. I've been interested in data analytics since day one. I'll try to leverage the resources of my firm to learn the skills needed to become a data analyst. Hopefully a business background will help as well.
So I just want to share my data science story...
In my sixth semester of btech I started data analytics and after two-three months I had the concepts and statistics cleared and made a few projects and then got bored so I started ML I was learning ML and then my college placements started and in the start of my seventh semester I got placed in PWC with my data science resume .So am gonna start my intern from 22nd Jan but in today's online meeting we were told that our background doesn't matter and we all will have to learn WEB DEV .💀💀💀
Edit:-I am learning springboot but there are many teams some work on python some on power tools etc..
IDK spring is fun too
😂😂😂
For statistics, understand basic concepts like probability, experimentation, Central tendency and distribution of data, hypothesis testing and progression
Yup
Thank you so much for this video. Just what i needed!👍
Glad it helped!
Thank you!
Hey! I am just starting my journey of becoming a data analyst. This was a much-needed video for me, and I really grateful for this.
I'm so glad!
Is it really worth to become Data analyst in 2024 ...?... Suggest me
Soo much information 😮👍😍
overload !!!
thankyou so much man
No problem!
I'm a beginner and i felt confident to follow your guide , i will make sure to comment down starting from tommorrow.
Hey! Great video!! This clear all key points. I will say that getting a job in 3 months might statically wont be realistic on average if you’re staying from scratch, I will say focus on a business, look up what they demand and apply tools + statistics + probability + domain knowledge + soft skills, weekly on practice, projects to land that job within 0-12 months in a probability way. (No absolutely happens for everyone)
Yeah, totally agree, it's all about probability.
I've watched many roadmap videos regarding this field, and while some have been good, this has been the most useful singlehandedly. I just joined your channel, and I'm excited to learn more from you!
Glad it was helpful!
thank you man... I am doing module 5 of Google cert and I was doubting myself if it's worth it.
Try some projects, see if it's right for you
Thank you so much this was a very helpful video! I am just wondering if I get the google data analytics certificate and I learn SQL and python and excel and do a couple data projects, will I actually be able to get a job in data analytics (or related job) even though I don't have a bachelors degree?
I like the two camera dynamic but i think you can stop turning your head to the other camera and just stay looking forward (as it continues changing the camera), i think that way is more fluid and less chaotic haha.
And try not to change to much, change once and leave it there, give it a time and them change it again. Isso é só a opnião de alguém que ficou um pouco tonto durante o vídeo e não sabe escrever em inglês muito bem.
@@lucasnascimento3072 Thanks for the suggestion. I was thinking the same after. Will definitely implement going forward!
This video is awesome.
thank you!
great content after so long.. just one feedback:- if you could reduce tone on background music.. it will be helpful..
Noted
Great explanation and presented so well. Thanks for the jargon free presentation. 🎉
Thank you for watching!
Best one👍
This is very informative. What do you suggest for people who are looking to relaunch their careers as data analyst after a career gap ?
Very very clearly said, I've subscribed liked and signed up for the email list 😊 looking forward to my Data Analyst journey!!! I hope future me in 6 months is reading this as an analyst and is proud.
Please do a video on how I can build a personal website to post my projects. Thanks 👍
Yes n kindly share some sample websites of same if possible
Great suggestion!
Thanks 👍🏽
rohan, the stats course you recommended is no longer offered on coursera. I don't think stanford offers that course anymore. any other recc?
Great content! I wish I saw this before taking up my Masters haha! I want to be a Data/ Business Analyst specializing in Digital Marketing. Thank you for this video!
Glad it was helpful!
What degree should I be pursuing in masters to become a prof at data analyst? Is it comp science or data science?
Currently done with python just going to start sql just hoping to get an internship as soon as possible
Hey! I do encourage you to learn sql better is have a database with tables and build some projects with daily usage, that wait you can get used to run queries and understand the dmbs
Thanks
Just 30sec in and I already can agree. Completed the certificate, applied for 75 jobs and got denied by 35 already within a week
It's a tough market out there.
Great video and way of presentation! Very informative, thank you! Kind regards from Berlin
Glad it was helpful!
Hey. Thank you so much for the video.
I have a bachelors in Economics and a master’s in media economics. Do you recommend that I still get the Google certification, seeing as I have some background with statistics and econometrics, or I do I go straight to SQL? I’m trying narrow in on media analytics specifically. Thank you
It doesn't hurt to get it. Try and maybe get, but finish it quickly. I believe the cert goes over basic SQL.
Hello Rohan, thank you for the video and tons of information on data analysis! Can you please advise is there math and algebra really essential? I am afraid I won't make it because of that.
Basic math is essential, but it's not too difficult.
yo this is a fire video
Thanks!
Good day Sir, please I really needed this your helpful training to become a data analyst.
Please, i need a simple way to learn as quickly as possible to get a job.
Thanks
@Rohan Adus, what laptop specifications do you recommend for both Windows and/or MacOs?
I'll make a video on this
I started my data analytics journey two days ago. I hope I can come back here and type an edit of my success in few months time. This video has been really helpful 🙏🏼
Can we do it together?
Good luck on your journey!
Hi what level of SQL is needed for a DA role. I have learned till joins so far but really struggle with the window functions. How much window functions and temp tables do DA roles uses on daily basis.? Kindly advice. Thank you
great info!! but can you please stick to one camera lol I cant focus it keeps jumping
Yes, will do that
Hey Rohan really appreciated for this vid. Just joined your discord community and looking forward to getting knowledge from an experience individual like you. Its gonna be my first computer science major sem this spring. I have a background of Frontend development and now I am seeking to get into Data science. Yes I get it Data science is a big thing we need to start with small goals which you just explained. Doing DSA in python is necessary for now ?
Yeah I would focus on Python if you are interested in DS, specifically libraries such as scikit and tensorflow as they are more ML focused.
That was resourceful . Thank You!
thank you for watching!
I’m really interested in know what industry are good to look into that need data analysis I really don’t know where the demand is?
Hi! I'm a statistician with even masters degrees in that field but Right now no one wants that. I still have no luck getting a remote a job. Maybe it's the place where I'm from and live or other factors that I'm not considering. But what I've noticed is that when you see the requirements for data analysts positions on LinkedIn they only asks for IT or computational people, they never requiere a statistician. My challenge is actually become more computational 😢, although I agree with you, excelling at statistics is the base and it's what makes you different from empirical data analysts. No offense.
for sure!
In what order should I form my studies as fresh noob in this field?
I found another great channel in RUclips
Wow, thanks!
