    BEST comparison video I've seen! I have a blue / silver 2016 myself and was slightly tempted to trade it in for the update. But I love the tank graphics/stripes of the 2016 in both Armor Grey and Blue Silver so much better. Someone posted a headlight swap guide for our model so I may just do that instead (I do slightly prefer the lower headlight of the '18 but not by much). I love my FZ. A great do-almost-everything bike.

      Thanks man I am glad you liked the vid 👍 it is a cracking bike and I will miss it when it’s gone 😞 I have a friend with the blue silver and it’s a very nice colour combination
      What do you think about the new model with the red wheels

      @@TinManvlogger Yeah brother, I hear you. I'm going to miss mine too when its time comes. Though I've probably got a few more good years left in it. Are you planning to upgrade from yours soon? The white one with red wheels is very tempting. I've thought about moving to the MT09 but I can't say I'm a huge fan of the dual headlights (prefer the retro-modern single headlight) but it's starting to grow on me.. Maybe the next revision will look better. Or maybe I'll just go with a newer MT07 😅

      I rode the MT09 and it was ok I didn’t like the quick shifter much

      If you have the extra cash go for it 👍
      If you decide to go for the 2016 be sure to check the ends of the swing arm for rust or repair for rust it’s not a major issue but it is a common problem I’ve has 2 swing arms and the second one starting rusting aging after 3 months 😞

    Great video man! Thank you!
    I've finally raised enough money to afford the MT-07, it has been my dream bike for quite a while, i've owned only enduro bikes so far.
    I can't wait to buy one next month, but i just realised the 2018 model could be found just 500€ more expensive than the first model, so i was wondering if it's worth searching for one.
    Now i've convinced myself, improved suspension, confort and aspect, all that for 500€ it's a YES from me!

    • @TinManvlogger
      @TinManvlogger  6 лет назад +2

      EnglishBikerDan yeah it’s a cracking little bike 👍 but if your looking at the 1000cc range now you may want to keep looking at these
      I’ve ridden the mt09 and I like the power but my 07 doesn’t feel like it’s lacking too much
      but I think if I had a go on a 1000 up I would probably be looking to buy a 1000 up
      The 07 is a lot of fun for the price and I would never recommend not to get one
      It’s a solid reliable engine that can surprise you rust is an issue but stay on top of it when it comes and you will get a ton of smile miles out of it

    • @Englishbikerdan
      @Englishbikerdan 6 лет назад +1

      All true dude. I've been riding 15 years and I love the 07. Sure, the suspension is a little soft but you do get used to it. I rode the new 09 but couldn't get on with it. The seat really hurt my nuts too much! The MT10 was so comfortable and actually easier to ride as it was a lot smoother. I don't "need" a 1000 naked but I've been after one for a long time so I think I'll treat myself. I will find it difficult to part with the MT07 though!

    • @TinManvlogger

  • @ioel9415
    @ioel9415 4 года назад +2

    I need only one more detail. Did you find ,or any of you guys who have tested both, find any difference about dimensions and comfortability? I've tested the 2020 model and I found myself way more comfortable than expected, but i kinda like more the looks of the previous model. Is it really worth to spend the extra cash on the new model o I'll be fine with the previous one? (again talking about dimensions). Great vid even though I'm two years late hahahahha

    • @TinManvlogger
      @TinManvlogger  4 года назад +3

      Joel Pedreño hey 👋 dimensions wise they are pretty much identical there really isn’t much between them to make a difference and the power is the same
      With the older models you would need a comfort seat upgrade and suspension upgrade if you’re planning longer trips I use to get awful cramps in my legs if I was on it for more than and hour without a break
      The newer ones do have a different seat shape which fell more comfortable but on longer trips I would probably find it the same over time and they have better suspension as stock
      So in either case an upgraded seat might be a good idea if you buy the older one be careful of rust near the chain adjusters on the swing arm look for repair work along the welds it’s a common problem and can be a pain not sure if it is still an issue on the newer ones

    • @TinManvlogger
      @TinManvlogger  6 лет назад

      Yeah I like the new look but I Know what you mean by the sleekness of it
      The tail light on the older model follows the lines of the seat above bringing it to a point but the new one is similar to the tracer 700 which finishes a bit more square at the end so it’s a flatter on top making the pillion seat slightly bigger
      Which is good if you like to carry people 👍😉

    Quick question are you able to put the windscreen from the 2018 on to yours? I'm trying to buy a windscreen for my 2018 mt07 but I'm not sure they will fit. Just trying to see if they are they same size.

      TinMan thanks man, the bolts do look like they are a little farther apart on the 2018 but that's just me.

      I haven’t had a chance to take a look yet bud but will try to soon 👍

    • @TinManvlogger
      @TinManvlogger  6 лет назад

      Ok
      The bolts do look a little further apart and the brackets are fitted differently I had a look last night
      Also the angle of the new light is more upright on the newer bike so the position of the fixings is different again
      I could probably get it to fit but it wouldn’t look right

    • @TinManvlogger
      @TinManvlogger  5 лет назад +1

      I can’t say I noticed a difference between the seat heights
      but I believe there is a lowering kit available for both models
      You may be able to find some on eBay but probably best to speak to the dealer about it 👍

    0:33 2016 is a beauty, 2018 is ugly Xp 1:10 I like the new indicator position, have done the same on my 2017, 1:39 how can you say 2018 is more agressive? It's clearly less agressive in my opinion, look at the 2016 agressive angles and design, 2018 are just flat and rounded, the tank cover too is way more agressive on 2016, agressive angles, 2018 less agressive angle. 2018 headlights are just old mt09 headlights, doesn't match the mt09 in my opinion, way to big . 1:47 this part is on the 2017 too.
