      @@DrSwitchDisrespectParody Actually my 1st console that i ever owned was PS2 in 2002. So wrong i am a diehard sony fan. After that i owned PS3, PSP, and PS Vita alike.
      And i personally seen PS Vita and Switch OLED display in person and Switch OLED is way better then PS Vita OLED because.
      When PS Vita came out OLED screen technology was in it's infancy and many smart phones and TV didn't have OLED screen in 2013. Where as now every smartphone from flagship to budget phones you'll get oled display.
      And they perfected OLED display to have the most vibrant colors and not drain the battery life like they used to. That's why PS Vita slim had better battery life aboyt 2 hour more. Because the OLED was draining battery bit quickly because the technology wasn't perfected back then.
      But now OLED display screen technology is one of the best after QLED. And has realistic color reproduction aswell as bright saturated and contrasty colors and they consume low energy from screen display. Which makes any device that uses OLED have a better battery life and very good display!

    I actually prefer the vita 2000 over the 1000 for these reasons:
    1:better form factor:The first time I had an OLED vita in my hands it felt uncomfortable to hold compared to the 2000,the shoulder buttons felt out of place and mushy and the buttons in general aren't as good as 2000 vita button controls
    2:better speakers:I don't have a good pair of headphones so speakers mean a lot to me when playing on my vita,2000 speakers sound generally more clear and louder.
    3:better battery:No need for explanation here.
    4:Internal memory:No need for explanation here either.
    5:When I had the ps vita oled in my hands and I looked at the nice OLED screen, it was cool, but kinda underwhelming, I have a screen mod on my 2000 vita called registry editor which makes the screen more vibrant, so the OLED screen looked pretty much similar, and YES I did a side-by-side comparison,it's not too much of a difference at all.
    6:Borderlands 2 runs better:on vita OLED borderlands 2 ran like crap,on vita slim it is more enjoyble playing borderlands because the framerate hardly doesn't suffer as much,for referencen that is nearly 170 HOURS of game time.
    7: better portability:of course,no need for explanation here as well.
    I rest my case.WAIT WAIT WAIT WAIT!ONE MORE THING:non proprietary charger.

Before I knew it more than six years have passed and I saw a very good condition oled vita selling for just 120 usd. So I bought it and for quite a while after that I was asking why did it become so cheap after just a few years. I go ask around and then discovered the vita was abandoned by Sony by the time I got it but the handful of triple A games that was released on it are still great fun to play on the go even til this day.

    The PlayStation vita to that today is one of, if not my most favorite and beloved game system of all time!!! Not only for the wonderful things that the system could do but also all the unique and amazing gaming experiences that you could get on the device and the fact that it was fully backwards compatible with the entire (Digital) PSP library as well as all the PlayStation classics on the PlayStation store could be downloaded and played on it, it was just a beast of a system!! It even had the custom soundtrack feature like you had on your Xbox360 back in the day where you could play whatever custom music that you had stored on your internal memory, you could play that in the background of your favorite games!!!
    I platinumed a few vita games in my time playing mine but I lost mine back in late 2018 and I’ve regretted it ever since!!!

    With the Media Server on your PS3 and PS4 and a Media Server on your Desktop, Laptop, or Tab; you can stream your music, videos, and pics to your PS3 or PS4 and then to your PSVita on the go, via Remote Play. It can also be done on the PSTV too. I have an extensive movie library on an external hard drive on my Desktop. With a good Wifi connection I can easily watch my movies while on the go. With the PSTV I can just bring it over to a friends house, connect it to their TV, connect to their Wifi, then connect to my PS3 or PS4 Remote Play, then connect to my Desktop, and start watching movies together. Cell phones today can't even do this. The PSVita was waaay ahead of it's time.

    I have a 3ds, ps vita, switch, steamdeck and I have to say the ps vita had the potential to be the best handheld console of all time, sony just ruined it with overpriced memory cards, lack of games, lack of love for their own system and not willing to drop the price of it like nintendo and steam did by taking a loss on the console and making that profit back with game sales.
    The hardware for a 2011 system was mind blowing, dual analog, OLED screen, powerful specs, triggers, touchscreen, speakers etc
    What the vita couleve been man.. Such a shame, I will never buy another sony handheld because they gave up on vita.
    Nintendo didn't give up on the wii u and that flopped as hard as the vita but they still made top tier games for that.

    It's amazing that anybody who actually gives this system a chance, they fall in love with it.
    It's an even bigger insult to the system since Sony pretty much abandoned it real quick.
    Hell, even developers didn't want to quit it cuz it was a great system to put games on as the install base was faithful and games SOLD really well on it.
    Back in the day, Sony made the system entirely with developer feedback exactly to attract developers and they did flock to it, but Sony just didn't care promoting it and supporting it as they decided to put 100% of their promotion efforts on the PS4 and the only mention of the Vita was as a "companion piece".
    My favorite games on it are definitely Soul Sacrifice and Freedom Wars. I also love Killzone Mercenary, Gravity Rush, Modnation Racers World Trip, Wipeout 2048 and Tearaway.
    Funny enough, I never even played Uncharted Golden Abyss and Persona 4 Golden. I find it quite annoying that it seems that most people who never had a PSVita these 2 games are the only games the system has since nobody shuts up about them. There's a huge library of stuff to play besides these 2 games without taking into consideration the PSP and PS1classic library the system runs because it has the PSP system software inside it. In essence, if you choose to hack it, the PSVita can run virtually every PSP game ever released including all PS1 games that the last PSP firmware was compatible with. It doesn't cover all of the PS1l ibrary as a handful of converted games (that aren't on the store) don't boot, others crash at specific points and unlike a PSP, you can't simulate a previous popsloader setting to run. Still it's a lot of bang for your buck in terms of what the system can do.

    Unless it's very cheap, I'm not sure it's worth getting a mobile console if you have a smartphone and a decent controller to bolt on to it. You can play a lot of the most recent console games on your phone now with touchscreen controls or a controller. Check out my recent videos of WWE 2K22 and Star Wars: Squadrons plus many more being played on an iphone (either with touchscreen controls or a pad). Fine if you can get one very cheap but otherwise I'm not sure

    I've mostly been playing the steam deck recently, which for me is the perfect ps vita successor, especially if you're a fan of modding since steam deck is already an open system out of the box, and within a few years it'll have more Sony first party games than the vita did.
    There's still a couple games like freedom wars I never got around to finishing, so I'll have to get a new vita at some point to play those, the GPU in my Vita seems to be dying, getting low framerates and stutters in most games, unfortunately, so I haven't picked it up in a long time.

    • @cbgg1585
      @cbgg1585 2 года назад +1

      Thats fair, but personally I have hardly used my Steamdeck due to how big the thing actually is. Even with the Switch on the Satisfye grip, it is still decently bigger in size. Thinking about selling it and hoping Valve comes out with a 'slim' model to reduce the overall size.
      No doubt the Steamdeck is an emulation powerhouse, but you can never go wrong with how portable and compact the Vita is compared to both the regular Switch and the Steamdeck.

    • @Plumtopia
      @Plumtopia 2 года назад

      @@cbgg1585 you could probably look into something like the aya neo air pro, i think it's a bit less powerful but its in between the size of the vita and the switch lite

Steam deck is not a successor to ps vita. Also the games have to be certified in order to play them barring workarounds.
