    Quick tip: Use a color texture for the volume displacement. For that, change the Color setting of the clouds texture. This way you can avoid the stretching of the displaced cloud along one axis. Good tutorial otherwise :)

      @@oriomart1944 TAKE A COLOR CLOUD TEXTURE FROM INET AND LOAD INTO DISPLACE TEXTURE. WELL GOOD TIP.

    This is fantastic, thank you so much! I've been struggling for a week, first tried volume shaders and got quite far with OSL, but then wanted to switch to Eevee which doesn't support it. Then fooled around with actual smoke sims. This tutorial has saved me a lot of headaches. :-)

    Great tutorial! I am making an animated short and am just figuring out what clouds to use. I am rendering in Evee so I will try this like now.

    Great video! Is there a way in Blender to have a particle simulation, that keeps this same look for the clouds, but also is able to have collisions with other objects?

    for me this tutorial so far is good but not recomend to newbie because they will confused watching ur video because your cut video and you dont tell when you switch to modifier and etc. but its a good video tutorial for all not for newbie

    How can I change the colour of the cloud to be lighter? getting greyish cloud but my background of a sky already has whitish clouds so theres too much contrast between them

    Hi - I tried using these modifiers in 2.93.4. When I export my file (trying to make a simple cloud), the modifiers do not get exported. the export shows only the metaball that the modifier was applied to. Do you have any idea how I can export the file and have it retain it's modifier properties?

    Having a problem in solid mode can see my cloud volume when I hide my metaball but in render view I cant see the cloud volume any help

    Make sure you convert the meta ball to mesh or else it won't work

    Thanks for sharing.
    I have question about multiplying displacements. It seems like each displacement stretch volume in one direction. So after three displacement modifiers there are visible diagonal stretches. Do you know how to get rid of them?

      I experienced this too but sadly didn't found a good way to solve this issue. Maybe you can use an object to control the mapping of the displacement and counter-rotate multiple displacements so they cancel each other out?

    is it possible to do this if my laptop haves an integrated graphics card and does NOT suport volumetric lighting?

      Hi try using the newest experimental version of Blender: builder.blender.org/download/
      It should be present in there :D

    Hey got a question, when I connect the gradient texture to density, the cloud disappears. Any ideas on how to fix this?

      It's prob. the texture mapping. Try connecting a mapping node to the gradient and change the scale location, etc. until you can see sth.
