I wish Blender implemented this by default, Its so useful. I don't like when great tools are plugins because with time they might end up not maintained inaccessible or simply no longer compatible with the latest Blender version.
When importing mocap from mixamo or other sources, if the Rig comes in weird like that, try reimporting it with the automatically fix rotations checkbox applied in the blender import settings.
Hey dude, I retargered animations over to the exact same carbon copy of the skeleton and now the animation is bouncing all over the place, this only happens to one of the animations, you have any idea why?

But it does no work at all (arms are at the complete wrong spots, fingers doing some wild movements in all directions etc). Even tho the bonelist looks good and I've assigned almost all bones that were not recognized automatically. I can't change the target rig, as it needs specific bones, bone names etc for the game. what can I do? does anybody know of a good way to retarget FPS animations? tahnks!
Nice, just what I needed! Small edit: you didn't tell people how to install the Rokoko plugin, which doesn't describe it on their page either. Also, it requires an account. I recommend bypassing that by changing the code to "logged_in = True".

Hi guys, I have one question, maybe someone can save my life : I'm making a wood box model for a client, he wants to integrate the model in a Dota mod throught Source Engine 2. This is an animated woodbox with a cell fracture. Apparently armature and bones are needed to make the animation work on this engine. It doesn't make sense to me to create bones for each individual pieces but anyway : is there a way to create and link bones from the cell fracture animation in Blender ? Or do i have to do everything by hand ? Thank you very much by advance

I thinks it may have something to do with the armature modifiers but not completely sure. It seems easy, but many time Rokoko make it a mess even if both the models have identical Armature. And you can not make it right what ever you do. Though Im not sure if the problem is with Blender or Rokoko addon .

How do you retarget with a root bone? I can't seem to get Location to transfer to the pelvis/hips, only the root has Location

Getting no joy whatsoever installing that plugin. Getting errors attempting to activate it on pretty much any version of Blender 2.80 and up. :-(

Try Ctrl+A and apply scale after creating the rigify rig

Hi, I have never worked with studio 2.0. IF you want a lego figure I would suggest Mecabricks because I know it works.

This techniques doesn't really work well with "IK" bones. It deforms them alot
