Way to go Justin and the VMP team. As for the 11-14, you probably talking about Gen 1 Coyote, but Im happy to drop off my GT500 for you to toy with as long as you want!
Blowers are junk on 5.0s cranks snap this guy is a newbie on 5.0s if hes not aware cranks snap on the mustang 5.0 the crank is machined to snap at the crank bolt no support or trick bilt will stop this buy turbos this guy doesn't know jack shit
This is the Video all the S550 guys were looking for.. Next year I am going to drive my GT down to Florida to visit my Friends and family who only live 45 minutes from VMP!!! It's Official VMP will be doing my pump Gears, spocket, clutch and my Gen 6 Whipple stage 1.5ish tune, when it comes out.. I just want 93 and my stock cats...
I won't stir trouble, but I'm quite confident my BRAND NEW Odin I just purchased on a 3.5" on my Gen 2 with ID1050x's, VMP fuel system & e85 will do just fine & has PLENTY of room to grow if so desired. A TVS is perfect for the street.
It absolutely will and we're here to support you with tuning, throttle bodies, pulleys and 10-rib kits for the Odin and Gen3R style systems. We've been making those parts for years and don't plan to stop, they're actually backwards compatible with Roush and older VMP 2.3s too.
The odin is a badass blower man. If you're on stock motor and/or 93 octane it's arguably better imo. Don't buy into all the hype man. I'm not saying the 3 liter Whipple isn't good or can't make tons of power both blowers can do that. But the thing is people argue xxx blower made more on a max effort setup then proceed to build a basic pump gas stock motor setup and leave it that way. It doesn't matter what makes more on a max effort setup if you don't have a Max effort setup yourself. The odin can hold its own against this blower all day. I suspect the vmp whipple partnership has more to do with other things outside of the blowers themselves like something behind the scenes with these companies that we don't see.
Correct. One of the Boostane "shots" that results in stabilizing 93 and potential 2-3 points of octane on good fuel. This car always gets one on fill up to prevent issues with questionable 93.
To run E85 on a supercharged Coyote, you'll need a return style fuel system. In this particular testing, it's not a substantial amount of Boostane. Just a single Boostane "shot" for safety with the local 93 octane.
E85 isn't available widely everywhere. If it is where you are good for you but you'll need a full return style fuel system which is like 2 grand or better and you're gonna get about 35% lower mpg vs 93. You may not care but the boostane option is simpler not more hassle like you're making it sound. Results won't be as good as e85 but better than straight 93.
What is the advantage of your round 112mm TB vs the 132mm oval TB whipple supplies? Why the change? Also, surprised you are seeing 12.52lbs of boost with the 3.875 pulley as whipple says it should be around 11psi.
The entire inlet is different to support the round throttle body. This is the inlet shape and design from the latest version of the Gen 6 and we opted to utilize this combo on these kits as we saw a bit less restriction and more performance with it. As for the boost, the less restrictive inlet and throttle body combination causes that result. The 3.875" is traditionally marked to make 11-12 psi with a 3.0 L on a '15-'23 Coyote Mustang. As for round over an oval, we've got TONS of testing with the GT500 and now the '24s that have been using the round throttle body. We've been especially pleased with tunability and overall drivability while offering exceptional flow and performance.
How are the AIT's compared to the ODIN with a 3.5 pulley? How many degrees Fahrenheit cooler will they average with the slower rotor speed of the GEN 6 head unit?
@vmpperformance I think you guys need to do more testing.. Ill ship my 2015 out for you to install the blower on for free lol!!! i WANT THIS Supercharger BAD
Just look at the power a Gen 2 Coyote makes on what about 12 PSI of Boost??? And I am sure it's because of the tuning too.. It's not just some Base tune from Whipple n that's why these cars are singing better than the 24's.. I love that a Gen 2 is making dam near 800 Wheel on an 3.875 pulley and one air box.. I love that it's a 700 wheel set up no matter what throttle body is on there.. Those are great numbers.. I am betting it will put down over 700 wheel with a 4" pulley, n that to me is amazing.. There's a big improvement with this Gen 6 over the gen 5 Whipple for sure..
I dont think it's a matter of winning. I think there is something else going on behind the scenes that caused this. Some kind of falling out the tvs side of things or possibly where the s650 is locked down they jumped to whipple so they'd have a product to offer and of course all the 15-23 ppl are gonna want the "vmp whipple" too lol. I think for a stock motor car the 2650 is a better blower. Odin ftw. Get em while you still can lol
@ it’s because whipple, and Roush have the sole rights to the ability to just unlock the pcm to tune. Roush significantly less than whipple, as whipple has successfully sold their kit and tune to all the major mustang players. The only thing at play is borderline monopolization of the market. It’s locked down to all but those two, which means rights were paid for along the line, roushs blower is literally a twin intake Odin. So they are the only TVS available. Everyone else is mainly marketing whipples.
Don't worry about it man the odin is badass. You don't gotta always have the latest greatest blower that comes out. It kills me how people act like the Odin is some kind of crap blower now and out of date that couldn't be further from the truth. A year ago they were blowing us away with videos showing odin doing great things lol. I'm just saying man. On a pump gas setup I don't think there's gonna be much difference. That larger blower is gonna take a fraction longer to spin up. No matter what the dyno says and tq numbers I'm talking real world throttle response where the odin is gonna be better.
@ oh it is a bad ass blower. I just can’t understand how when I bought the blower and had it installed VMP told me it was the best and now they’re selling Whipple’s. Crazy how things change. The reason I went with VMP and not Whipple was because I wasn’t waiting months for a blower after they took my 10 grand. Now they make videos about how the Odin is bad and the Whipple is good 😆. Crazy.
@@freedom6919741There will always be something new, remember when people bought a 2010 mustang GT and the coyote platform came out the next year? Haha
Currently, it's developing a round throttle body for this inlet with the Gen 1 electronics that are distinctly different than Gen 2 and Gen 3 electronics. Stay tuned, as we'll keep everyone updated on development.

What is needed for e85 and do you offer a kit to run e85 on a 15 mustang? I’d rather run E85 than have to put boostane

Will there be a stage for kit as well?
Will VMP still offer/support the gen 3r for gen 1 and 2 coyote for the foreseeable future?
Absolutely. Our entire line of VMP products is developed to support current and previous offerings. There is no intention to stop support.

We're going to dive deeper into this in a video comparison in the very near future. Stay tuned.
Does this fit the 15-20 f150s
Pretty sure they will tell yoi to swap the timing cover for a mustang 1... whipple does that too

We see what you did there... :D
So what's the difference between the Whipple and vmp now? Why wouldn't i just get the Whipple if it's the same supercharger?
Can I run the Apex 120mm throttle body on my 2024 F150 with a Ford Performance Gen 6 whipple?
Nice
So what makes it different than a Whipple?
Do you plan on making them for the 11-14 F-150's
Besides the throttle body, is there any difference between this and the Gen 5 with the Gen 6 rotor pack upgrade?
The new gen6 3.0 L rotors are what really shine and make this such a potent head unit.
vhipple! That TB isnt going to failsafe like past TB's from you guys?
Can my 6spd Auto handle this much HP? 2015 GT
Yes. We've seen them withstand higher numbers and with the efficiency of this particular head unit, it's not working very hard to make good numbers.
5 liter blower on a 5 liter V8 possible in the very near future? 😶👀
what injectors does it come with?
56lb GT500 injectors
