This trail is very similar to the trails i / we ride in North west Oregon ... On a common ride on my Ktm 300 exc rarely would i run out of gas or be concerned ... I get 45-ish miles /tank
So thank you for this video that gives real life perspective of charge duration

Destiny powersports says 10w40 non synthetic gear oil or light gear oil. I put Motul 7100 10w40 full synthetic in mine when I first got it and it seems to like it. I don't know why anyone would say the transmission is fragile I haven't had any issues and I mostly just leave it in second on the trails anyway so it doesn't get used that much.

ill change the oil and do a video on that, but i agree, havent had any transmission problems and i use second gear almost all the time

I ride currently ride a Ktm 300 exc ... You reference riding your Ktm 690 on this trail ...
YIKES ! compared to the weight of the 690 ... The Nicot Ebeast should feel much lighter and more agile ...
I am very much considering the Ebeast or the Ktm Freeride ...
More so leaning to the Freeride due to after purschase support and parts

I will say that most of the parts on the ebeast are common dirt bike parts. However if I have an issue with the battery, gearbox, or controller I would be on my own. The electric bike community is getting bigger so I'm sure I could source these parts. On the other side, not every KTM dealer is a Freeride dealer. and I'm sure the electrical components are special orders. Point is, I bet you are waiting on both sides. I would say I'm happy but I can see the appeal of going with a dealer

I have a similar Chinese electric dirtbike (Velimotor VMX 12 F) and I bought a new controller that has regen capability. I haven't installed it yet, but if I think of it when I do, I'll let you know how it goes. I bought the new controller to enable regen and to be able to program the parameters of power delivery. My bike is super jittery/jerky. It feels like it just gives too much power instantaneously and everyone I have let ride it has crashed it as a result.

what controller was it? how did it fit?

@@FeathersOffroad it's a Kelly Controls KEB72451X , I haven't put it on yet, but it has a 14 pin connector with a wiring harness that labels each wire. That makes it easier on one side, but they aren't labeled on the bike so it will take a lot of detective work to get it hooked up. Another reason I got it was because the company provides easy to use programming software so that you can customize all of your controller settings. I couldn't for the life of me get that for the controller that came on my bike.

Can you upgrade the battery or controller what upgrades and can you pls do a full speed chest pov test

There are a lot of batteries and controllers out there for ebikes in general. Im not aware of an aftermarket community for this bike yet, so a battery would probably need to be custom made to fit the space. Similar with controller/motor, lots of stuff exists, but you'd have to make it fit yourself.
Having said that, this bike will go over 60mph/100kmh in stock form

no delay on throttle. first gear is almost too much torque. for the trail riding i do, usually i leave it in second gear the whole time. second and third are usuable for trail riding, fourth gear is really only for top speed, not much torque.
i bought off alibaba from some vendor, but Nico has a storefront there as well. I have also seen some places in the US importing this bike now
