Would it be possible to at first upgrade the controller to an BAC 4000 and then later upgrade to an 72v 42 AH batterie or an 60V 53 AHwith the same BAC controller? i cannot afford both upgrades at once I hop you understand what i am meaning sorry for my bad englisch im from Germany

Edwin is something else, he rides the hell out of that Sur-ron and talks about what he is doing at the same time. if that were me I would be too winded to talk at the same. and he gives out the best advice on everything Sur-ron of anyone out there thanks Edwin.

Hey man. The way you have your voice EQ'd during your voiceover this video is perfect. I would recommend using those settings for your grind hard videos. Sometimes your voice gets lost in the background, noise and music. The little bit more bass in it definitely helps! Thanks for all the great content on all your channels.

Spent so many thousands on super 73’s. Spent more on a surron. Spent a few more on the bac 4000 and bigger batt. Now I’m finally happy!!!

Hi, Edwin. Awesome video, as always. We ride some loops that are literally 22 miles long in Allegheny State Forest, PA, for example, have found with hard-riding on completely stock, at 20 miles you'd better be near your trailer! (Posting video soon of the mile-long walk of battery-ran-out shame on my channel!) I doubt with the extra power the controller somehow keeps the same (or more!) battery life. Also, I have seen ZERO battery often pulling over the finish line. I'm afraid that would destroy a bypassed battery? Realize there are benefits to bypass and controller and just want to not destroy my bikes. Thanks.

I know Im a little late but ive been wondering. Is it worth to bypass a battery due to the decrease in the resale value of the battery? A stock battery can be sold for like 800-1000 but idk if a bypassed one would have a similiar value if I wanted to sell for a 72v.
Does that bike have thumb speed or grip speed as far as turning on going faster
If you get a bac4000 and a bypassed battery like yourself will it not kill the battery faster or the motor ect? Like dose it do any harm to any parts of the bike or?
Your video says BAC4000 controller but their website says 8000. Does this account for the surprising increase in power?

bro can i honestly get more range this way. The bike stock is fast enough but i just want more range. I cruise going 30-50 and get amazing mileage

Is it safe to spray paint (high heat) the controller? It would look way better in black
Don't worry about painting the controller, bypassing the bms is waaayyyyy more dangerous.

Totally, i first went with a bac4000 and bypass, a few months later i went 72v, it’s insane how fast these bikes get with a 72v. I run 15kw and can pop a wheelie with ease at 30mph

Purpose of bypassing the battery?
Bypasses the discharge control of the BMS. Cells can handle 110A but stock BMS limits it to around 85-100a(not all set the same).

@@geemy9675 yes, people refer to it as a "bypassed battery" in that the battery has bypassed bms. It's not really a good way to say what is done though bc I've seen many confused comments everywhere lol

Why should you remove the tip-over sensor?

My idea of a good controller? Once that lasts. I had no idea when i purchased my surron. I did know that I'd have to replace the 1500 dollar battery but i had no idea that controllers are just like tires and chains, they last a little longer, about three years.
I have no driver's license and used the surron for transportation. I'm not rich and for me it's not a toy. It was very hard to diagnose the "over current protection fault" in the controller. Without transportation my income was cut to nearly zero and i was in no way prepared to spend the thousand dollars. No way I'm buying a used controller and i am finished with electric vehicles. I'm parting it out i refuse to buy another disposable 1k part.
