  • This is a real world example of range and speed from the Segway X160 E bike and I must say the numbers Segway claims on their site are very accurate! My range on this ebike around town was 6.69 miles with %44 battery left from 40 minutes of moderate riding. That would give us 15.2 miles if I ran the battery down to zero. A number far off the similar Sur Ron X or Segway X260.

That's so cool.I do have to say that wasn't a garage it was a closet with a garage door. cool on the bike build I can't wait to see what you do with it, and if a little trailer could be hooked to it ?. It would be great to have something like that to commute to the grocery store and back a little trailer.

I live 15 miles away from my workspace. I use to mountain bike there everyday despite having a vehicle because I enjoy the breeze and workout I get from it before and after work. I got this dirtbike because I have all of segways mini segways which are absolutely just the funnest little things on planet earth. The dirtbike is so reliable when I'm feeling lazy but still don't feel like driving the car.

definitely interested to see how it runs with the 60 volt and the upgrades, as well as the budget for it. I make videos on the X160 myself and got about 24 miles all EP mode and 16 miles in all sport mode.

Must be super fun. I can’t wait to get one and drive around some trails when I move back to VA ❤

Have you ever tried to use the 48v battery from x160 on the Sur Ron? I wonder if it will be with the power of the Sur Ron and use the battery much quicker, or the mileage is the same, but the power decreases?

Dam, lots of comments already, just a quick question, do you think I need a new controller for the 60v 42ah high amps litespeed battery or the 72v drop in one? If I don't, will I burn or destroy anything? Thanks in advance!

I’m looking into creating a x160 into a surron as well. Would it be possible to hook up a bac 4000 to a x260 or surron x battery?

Can you charge it with a halo? Just wondering. Cause if it died you would have to push it back and that would suck.

So what is the weight limit ? Also you never took it to the max distance and I would think the power would decline as you get towards the end . I can get about 30mph and 18 miles on my 48V 1600W Uberscoot , and I weigh in at 230 lbs. May not be as nice looking , but only about $700 . I did upgrade my batteries though.
