One of the reasons the Sur Ron was so loved was because it was built like a tank and the build quality was way higher than it had any right to be given the price. I love seeing new products like this come out, but I always wonder how they’ll hold up in terms of abuse and reliability
Just got confirmation they’re offering the SS with a new upgraded controller for those that want it that eliminates the turbo button!! 😮 mine comes first week of December!
Yes it came in time for Christmas! It is an awesome bike and goes just over 60mph without the turbo button. Front forks aren't amazing but I do like the bike overall and I like that it's the same size as a surround, and apparently tons of surround parts fit. Happy with my purchase. Took about 45 days or so for mine to come
Very sweet eride! I been looking at the talaria but this just changed my radar. Love to see these new bikes coming out to compete with these other companies that are way over charging cause they were the only competition. Well after watching this video I can’t even say it’s much of a competition. Great video!
No kidding. Bigger missed opportunities haven't been seen since Blockbuster Video declined to buy Netflix for $50 million back in 2000......E-Ride just killed Surron & Talaria future sales. If they want to stay in the game, they are going to have to either drop their price or bump up performance without having to dump an extra 2k-3k to match E-Ride
great videos man! its awesome a company recognises the product knowledge that you bring to the table as a superuser and prosumer, and the fact you then make them a pragmatic, unbiased marketing content that demonstrates a benchmarked price point and performance comparison, which demonstrates their competitive advantages for them is a huge w for the industry as a whole and for the prospective consumer (me). Thanks

It's aluminum. If you paint it it will chip when you tighten the nuts. It was cut after heat treating and powder coating most likely. If you cut it before heat treating it could warp, so they have to make the surface cuts last step

@@Shmack_ yea, but I was talking more about things like linkages, bolts, seat extenders, even bigger batteries, controllers etc. are all things that will need to be specially made for this design. A lot of stuff carries over which is super nice, but also don't know what the wiring is like, so a lot of things might not be as easy to install as it might first seem.
maybe the only ebike without pedals, but E bikes been around a long time. its definitely the fastest of those tho. you mean e bike like e motor bike or like an ebicycle?
I worry the motor isn't the newer style internal permanent magnet (IPM) type that the Talaria Sting R is using. If it's the old bonded rotor style of the surron, it'll still run super hot when pushed, and heat soaking is always a problem. Also, if it's using that weird dual-drive thing with a belt on the left side like the surron, driving a jackshaft, that then drives another sprocket to the rear wheel, that's a deal breaker. I also worry the battery is using the older, weaker, hotter running 18650 cells instead of the newer more powerful 21700 cells. I still am gonna have to say the Talaria Sting R is a better bike to buy. It has the IPM motor, a much better rear swing arm, gearbox transmission instead of the exposed jackshaft, and better battery tray location. Toss a good 21700 battery and a controller for 72v, swap the wheel set out for something you can beat on off-road, it's the goat.

I currently ride motorcycles full time, but need to start exercising a bit and hope getting back on a bike will motivate me to start losing weight. Glad I checked out your vid. Subscribed!
Because to upgrade a surron to that speed it would cost 3000 or more to do it properly but with its 300 more dollar price tag than a surron it is more easy to get for people who don’t have a lot of money because the surron final price to go that speed is most likely 7000 dollars. I like non-expensive things.
Tell you what. It’s turning out 2023 is a great year for electric rides. So bummed i spent my extra money on electric rides last year. Especially since i ended up not inking my e-scooter at all. Oh well…
Man this may be the bike I’ve been waiting for! I just wish more E-bikes had clutches, their absolutely essential. Great video man, also when mobbing in the dirt keep your feet on the pegs and squeeze the frame with your legs. You’ll corner a lot more comfortably and confidently. Only drop a leg at slower tight corners, you’ll thank me later.
@@cycologist7069Very well said and it most definitely is an electric motorcycle because those pesky e bikes don’t go 60 mph or have nearly the suspension these bikes do.
You are way cool to stop for the hikers. A RUclipsr named John Hicks, weaves through people in LA and in Hollywood. One of these days, he’s either going to get nailed or nail somebody.
Gotta see more reviews of it to see what problems it actually has past riding it 1 day but if motor and battery not cheap or weak then it's an amazing deal. I like my talaria sting R power but I like the sur ron flickabiliy. By the time we find out and if it's better than both bikes they'll be hard to get.
Something I want to ask after viewing several of your videos and almost just hitting the buy it now button on a blue Surron X, what is the longevity like for the motor on the Surron? And based on that, could you make any sort of guesses on the longevity of the motors in the competition - Talaria, RFN Rally, and now this E-Ride Pro?
This is not a cosmetic stuff. They leave it unpainted because if you try to tighten a bolt on a painted surface, by time it will be loosen, because the paint is soft and you can't tight down the screw correctly. So that's why unpainted. Car manifaturers are made the (suspensions, brakes, etc.,) mounting surfaces same unpainted.
@@TudiMPowerServicealuminum doesn’t get painted, it gets anodized, it etches the surface with colorant using chemicals and electricity. Its not soft. Most likely they machined the part after anodizing to make it fit better. Next revisions will be probably all black.
Still love my Talaria Sting R MX4 right out of the box! This bike almost had me until that “turbo button” that’s the one feature that would set me apart from purchasing this. Other than that, they’ve done everything spot on for what it is. 👍
Is it belt driven to the chain ring? What's your opinion on belt drive vs the gearbox in Talaria? I feel like I'd rather do a few oil changes than risk a belt giving out on me.
I’ve tried calling the company. They don’t answer. I’ve tried emailing the company I’m not getting any return e mails. Has anybody is this normal? I’m wanting to ask my credit card company to cancel the transaction.
we made mods to ours so you don't squat like a little kid on the ground. It was done to a stock Sur Ron> I can send you a photo if you want. We may patent it so I want to be careful...but the seat is higher off the ground than the stock bike
this bike will be great in a couple years when the aftermarket starts to pop off for it. for now ill still always prefer my surron that i dumped wayyyy too much money into lol
Excited for the new option! You ripping it out there with no front brake was making me crazy nervous though. Also, you put your foot out in a lot of straights…. Makes me equally nervous.
Dumping ALL the power into the system heats up the battery and will damage it if it is kept going too long. My guess is that this is why they time limit it. A thermal limit would be more accurate but that would not be a constant variable so offering a knowable time limit is probably best. This e-bike is fast enoug as it is so turbo is not something you will need on a constant basis.
I don’t think the turbo is really worth it with regards to the price, but I am interested in the range on this thing and how it compares to the talaria sting R
Feel like it’s super dangerous to be flying like this on these hiking/biking trails with a relatively silent machine… you couldn’t see a ton of corners lol
That is a an amazing bike. I liked all the info and all of the input during the assembly. When he was riding the bike I could tell by his comments and how excited he was that this bike out of the box is awesome. It sucks he overlooked the front brake line rubbing b/c I'm sure it dampened the full potential of the test run. Cool bike.

One of the reasons the Sur Ron was so loved was because it was built like a tank and the build quality was way higher than it had any right to be given the price. I love seeing new products like this come out, but I always wonder how they’ll hold up in terms of abuse and reliability
bushing is loose on the back, rattling already like the 2022 talaria.
@@Backtrap1943Really?
The excitement in your voice speaks for itself!
Limiting the turbo lowers the ESC heat thus increasing the longevity. Great video. I’ll order 1 in Jan after I buy the kid’s breakfast.
Just got confirmation they’re offering the SS with a new upgraded controller for those that want it that eliminates the turbo button!! 😮 mine comes first week of December!
Did it ever come in cuz I’ve been waiting for mad long
Yes it came in time for Christmas! It is an awesome bike and goes just over 60mph without the turbo button. Front forks aren't amazing but I do like the bike overall and I like that it's the same size as a surround, and apparently tons of surround parts fit. Happy with my purchase. Took about 45 days or so for mine to come
Look like you were going scary fast
Especially between those 2 cars and your front brakes went out
Glad that you are alright
Very sweet eride! I been looking at the talaria but this just changed my radar. Love to see these new bikes coming out to compete with these other companies that are way over charging cause they were the only competition. Well after watching this video I can’t even say it’s much of a competition. Great video!
It's honestly pretty dumb of Surron and Talaria to not collab with you, I dont think anyone out there got as many people into Surrons as you
China is arrogant is the reason.
Why pay for it if he's doing it for free anyway.
@@Aa-ron01 Because you can end up losing your biggest spokesman to your competitor 😅
Pretty dumb of Luna cycle also
That bike is probably fun as hell. I like the way you wave your hand around while talking too
This 22 min vid felt like 2 mins. Great video as always, I would Def buy one if i had the money😛
great videos man! its awesome a company recognises the product knowledge that you bring to the table as a superuser and prosumer, and the fact you then make them a pragmatic, unbiased marketing content that demonstrates a benchmarked price point and performance comparison, which demonstrates their competitive advantages for them is a huge w for the industry as a whole and for the prospective consumer (me). Thanks
apragmatic ? wtf
Dude I've man, you're like the only one good RUclips. I've been watching you for 1 year. my parents don't have a lot of money so they can't get me a ebike,I've been want one for 1 year ever since I've been watching u.
Little man, you're standing Infront of a Christmas tree in a nice house in your icon pic. Your parents have enough, they just don't want to buy you one
Yikes, I'm with you. I haven't upgraded my Surron which I ABSOLUTELY love but it's tough to justify putting any money into it when I could get damn near the perfect bike for the same money as all the upgrades the Surron needs... Thanks for the soul searching I gotta do now! Ugh lol
You look at Solar ebike the Ecplise at all? Hoping someone can splain to me why i havent seen much coverage of the bike
It's aluminum. If you paint it it will chip when you tighten the nuts. It was cut after heat treating and powder coating most likely. If you cut it before heat treating it could warp, so they have to make the surface cuts last step
man every time i watch i a video the urge to get a E-bike just get more and more tempting, but i have no where close the money. I've been trying to look for a budget one but the all so expensive, but i will 100% be getting one in the future it would be so amazing using it to go to the local gas station and school man that would be nice! but nice videos man i love them so much, Much love brother!
such an awesome bike! They really did well with this. Once the aftermarket catches up with this bike I could see it being the new leader in this category!
He said it's basically a sur ron without the stickers so everything should fit that works on sur ron besides motor stuff
I talked to the company and they said it’s 90% interchangeable
@@SeanBlair-qi6dsI called too. They said thay also. Can confirm
I'm tired of sending emails to that company to buy a pro ss and they don't respond to any of them... it gives me little confidence to buy
It’s crazy how the Surron was the only E bike a few years ago now they have so much competitors
maybe the only ebike without pedals, but E bikes been around a long time. its definitely the fastest of those tho. you mean e bike like e motor bike or like an ebicycle?
@@Bannanasammich ebike without pedals
E-motorcycle.
More competition means lower prices and better products
Epic introduction and demonstration! You guys killed it and were hilarious as well!
Their site says it’s 21700 Samsung cells
its a permanent magnet synchronous motor, and it uses a 21700 cell samsung battery.
Oh damn! Put those worries to bed!
@@Jack-ty9deI’m not familiar with these bikes but I’m curious. Does that mean the SS doesn’t have a belt or anything?
For how much value you provided here.. the like count is disappointing!! You deserve more recognition For your hard work! (been here since before you were faceless 😎 , can’t wait till a million! 💪🏾)
No region saves your battery and gives you a much better range for sure💯
After Shipping, taxes, this costs about 5,500
I bought a used 2023 sur ron for 3400, put a riser stem and bac4000 on it. Goes about 56. About 1k in upgrades
Maybe the same company or just sterling all the same hard work from surron

Frikken awesome! I just bought my first pedal assist e-bike from Walmart for $399 just to get started, but now I want that SS Pro. I currently ride motorcycles full time, but need to start exercising a bit and hope getting back on a bike will motivate me to start losing weight. Glad I checked out your vid. Subscribed!
That thing is sick for straight out the box! Do you think they're going to increase their price in the future though?
No
@@fish-kid9577 why do you think that?
Because to upgrade a surron to that speed it would cost 3000 or more to do it properly but with its 300 more dollar price tag than a surron it is more easy to get for people who don’t have a lot of money because the surron final price to go that speed is most likely 7000
dollars. I like non-expensive things.
I bet these bikes sell really well, for what you're getting for the price it's a lot of e-biking fun!
Only drop a leg at slower tight corners, you’ll thank me later.
lol amma thank you right now
This is not an e-bike.
@@cycologist7069Fine its an electric dirt bike E BIKE…. Forever two strokes my guy!
@@TrentHafen What I meant was it’s an electric motorcycle as opposed to an electric bicycle, which is what one thinks of when saying “e-bike”.
@@cycologist7069Very well said and it most definitely is an electric motorcycle because those pesky e bikes don’t go 60 mph or have nearly the suspension these bikes do.
Dud needs to be sponsored!! Love the info makes my decision clear!
Looks like there's a new gold standard for e-bikes. This thing is phenomenal.
I like to know the size and weight comparison of the pro ss vs a the surron's
3:24 the metal is left unpainted so when you change the rear shock it doesn’t get all scratched and chipped up from the bolt
ok
This is not a cosmetic stuff. They leave it unpainted because if you try to tighten a bolt on a painted surface, by time it will be loosen, because the paint is soft and you can't tight down the screw correctly. So that's why unpainted. Car manifaturers are made the (suspensions, brakes, etc.,) mounting surfaces same unpainted.
ok kid@@TudiMPowerService
@@TudiMPowerServicealuminum doesn’t get painted, it gets anodized, it etches the surface with colorant using chemicals and electricity. Its not soft. Most likely they machined the part after anodizing to make it fit better. Next revisions will be probably all black.
@@AlfredoGreysomething that makes sense, I thought there was a gas leak or something.

Still love my Talaria Sting R MX4 right out of the box! This bike almost had me until that “turbo button” that’s the one feature that would set me apart from purchasing this. Other than that, they’ve done everything spot on for what it is. 👍
AGREED, the mx4 is still on top IMO
Got a mx4 and for mainly off road enduro work a turbo button would be a massive letdown. Would like to see a compare on this to the talaria
Exactly
Is it belt driven to the chain ring? What's your opinion on belt drive vs the gearbox in Talaria? I feel like I'd rather do a few oil changes than risk a belt giving out on me.
One of my favorite things to do in California when I lived there was adventure. Drive around in my car to find views like that. I miss that place.
I have a question about the range of the bike… “How many miles can it go at 45mph on flat terrain ?” Also “How long can I expect each ride to be?”
According to website : RANGE: 50+ MILES (@25MPH); 90+MILES (@15MPH) SUBJECT TO TERRAIN VARIATIONS
I bought one. They took the money, no email from the company about the purchase. I'm a little nervous.
I’ve tried calling the company. They don’t answer. I’ve tried emailing the company I’m not getting any return e mails. Has anybody is this normal? I’m wanting to ask my credit card company to cancel the transaction.
I dont know what more impressive, the e-bike or the views on that ride.
Man wish they made an e-bike for taller riders (6’2”). Not sure if there are any mods to make that happen but hoping so at some point!
Talaria with lowered pegs and seat rise if needed, could also get a surron ultra bee or something beefy like a varg
Yea
6’2 ain’t even tall LOL any of these bikes u can ride
I'm 6'1" and haven't had any trouble on the talaria xxx
we made mods to ours so you don't squat like a little kid on the ground.
The point of this bike is that you don't need aftermarket support because it is a beast out of the box.
@@nogoodgod4915 i'm talking about customization... but okayyyyy lol

Excited for the new option! You ripping it out there with no front brake was making me crazy nervous though. Also, you put your foot out in a lot of straights…. Makes me equally nervous.
as with every new vehicle in the market, the question is: Is it reliable? and will it survive the test of time.
The only thing that's a deal breaker is the time limit on turbo mode. Would also be nice if you could use surron aftermarket parts on it.
Dumping ALL the power into the system heats up the battery and will damage it if it is kept going too long. My guess is that this is why they time limit it. A thermal limit would be more accurate but that would not be a constant variable so offering a knowable time limit is probably best. This e-bike is fast enoug as it is so turbo is not something you will need on a constant basis.
from you i got my first e-bike love you bro keep it up
My main question is how customizable is it going to be and is it going to be able to use parts that are already from a surron?
Even if the bike isn't what I hope it is. The fact that they will talk to the community when the others won't shows a lot.
They just don't talk to him. Suck it up.
I have been gasoline 100% of the way up until this point you really got me thinking about this bike
