If you’re curious, the big green flowers are Asclepius veridis, or Green Antelope Horn, an important species of milkweed for the monarch, especially in that location. The flower is gorgeous, as you saw.

I love flowers, daddy always had plenty of flower beds around our home filled with a large variety of colors and fragrances.
Daddy and Mom both loved roses. One of my sisters gave Daddy a rose bush named after the state where he lived and where I was born.

Kent, I stumbled upon your channel last night. As a retired firefighter/EMT from the New York area, I've been looking for things to do with my spare time. It gives me great honor to say your channel is exactly what I have been looking for. I love to cook and I love to eat even more. You have no idea how much I needed the words of encouragement and the big hug at the end of the video. Dancing twice was a gift too. My family is having very hard times right now. One is close to death, a neighbor has a son who is close to death and a family member who is 9 months pregnant is losing her apartment at the end of July. (landlord has no compassion). My dog isn't doing well and I have to take a trip on an airplane and I am scared to fly. I felt your love and it meant a lot to me.

Getting back to cast iron cooking was the best step I've ever made in my culinary life. Learning curves, failed attempts, strip downs and reworks or the cast seasoning is all part of the game. Raisins add so much flavor over just sugar.

@@CowboyKentRollins I've fixed many of your recipes, as long as I turn the heat down just a bit the wife really enjoys.
I'm 59, and have been cooking over the fire since I was 14. That was one thing my old Scout Master did was to make sure us boys knew how to cook over the fire and use a Dutch Oven. I live full time in a Travel Trailer now, and I Carry 3 camp Dutch Ovens, all 3 are Lodge. I've got 2 for the stove, one Lodge and Grandma's old Wagner. 3 skillets Lodge for the big one, Wagner for the medium and a Griswold for eggs.
My son is decent at camp cooking, and this fall I'm going to start teaching the Grandkids camp cooking.

These are my comfort videos, always just puts a smile on my face and cheers me up and also great recipies, tips and advice. Reminds me of my father as well, almost identical build/moustache and he liked cooking too. Secretly I always preferred his cooking to my moms.

Those look delicious. I've never thought about multilayer dutch oven cooking, I'll have to try that out. That lid lifter looks like it'd be WAY better than a pair of channel lock pliers and a welding glove that I use currently. God bless and hope you have a good day.

I've made this once before minus the hard liquor, never would have ever thought that Mountain Dew would make apple pie taste amazing, yet here we are.
☺️I have such a sweet tooth that I would use the sweetest brand of apples I could find for this dessert that Kent is making.

These look much easier to make. I always see the jumbo ones. They are unreal. We would go to the one place nearby and get several dozen of the jumbo ones. Put in bowl, put in microwave and add milk or ice cream.🥰😍😋

Here in Pennsylvania we do it the Amish Style Cooked with Cinnamon and Apples then we put it in a bowl and pour warm Milk over top it's the Best Way to Enjoy it
