The words "phenomenal, fantastic, and astounding " are applicable to Usain Bolt, Professor Edwin Moses, and Wayde Van Niekerk because of the facts that what they 've achieved and accomplished repeatedly in their respective events are track records that are truly "one of a kind."
Really rooting for Wade, and I would love him to be successful again in major comps. However, at the age of 31, I beleive his WR 400 time is out of reach even for him. When he ran it, he was at the optimum age and was super fit. I believe he will run between 43 and 44 again, but I think that Rio performance will turn out to have been his finest hour. Will Gardiner or Norman ( poss Femke Bol :)) break it? I think it's just about possible for Norman, but he would have to do it in the right race with the performance of a lifetime.
Van Niekierk was a phenomenal athlete in his prime. I hope this great athlete can get back to his brilliant best, but ,sadly, that is very highly unlikely.
I would love to see him, Fred Kerley and Michael Norman (when healthy) go head to head in a televised sprint classic where they compete in the 400, 200, and 100 meters. Who wins?
The way he lopes down the home stretch makes me think of Usain Bolt. In my mind Usain Bolt is the Wayde van Niekerk of 100m. But both runners don't look like they are forcing their bodies into difficult shapes, just calmly and collectively making huge distances between them and their second place rivals.
There was that one dude from Jamaica. Something like Golt or Folt. I seem to remember him doing well at the Olympics and World Championships. He always seemed to bring it when it mattered. What was his name?
@@jamesclapp6832 I didn't place him in my top three cause Jesse was Jesse, Michael Johnson was hands down the best 400m sprinter ever and Wayde the best all round sprinter ever. Bolt was the fastest ever, but he quit early in his career. Not only did he quit, but he lost "it". His last races were horrendous.
@@jeffjeff8562 Bolt's final season was a difficult one because of that persistent hamstring injury. Nevertheless he managed to finish with a bronze medal, missing his fourth 100 meter world title by .03 while clearly laboring. Unfortunately the muscle quit him 20 steps into his anchor leg. He might not have competed at all had he any intention of competing into his 30s. He did because he felt obliged, as a consummate showman, to perform one last time for fans that were loyal to him throughout his long career. Remember he competed in the 200 at Athens in 2004 at age 18. 2017 may not have been the storybook ending we might have hoped for, but it was hardly horrendous.

Goat sprinter
The words "phenomenal, fantastic, and astounding " are applicable to Usain Bolt, Professor Edwin Moses, and Wayde Van Niekerk because of the facts that what they 've achieved and accomplished repeatedly in their respective events are track records that are truly "one of a kind."
“When his mind is right”. So true
🏃for🥇
Really rooting for Wade, and I would love him to be successful again in major comps.
Straight Champion!
Van Niekierk was a phenomenal athlete in his prime. I hope this great athlete can get back to his brilliant best, but ,sadly, that is very highly unlikely.
The man is back
Good story but the title makes this annoying click bait
One of the greatest sprinters of all time. He could've quit after so many years trying to get IT back.
Mankind: We are fearfully and wonderfully made. The human body is just amazing to me. Amazing.
Our national treasure ❤ 🇿🇦
the 'African Gazelle' is tearing up the plains once more, a sight to behold.
What an amazing video 👍👍👍👍👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
amazing dude.
I would love to see him, Fred Kerley and Michael Norman (when healthy) go head to head in a televised sprint classic where they compete in the 400, 200, and 100 meters. Who wins?
Very nice!
With a Chad face like Wayde there were no doubts
just think in 4 years he will be 35, he will break all the Master athlete records...
He will do it.....watch
The way he lopes down the home stretch makes me think of Usain Bolt. In my mind Usain Bolt is the Wayde van Niekerk of 100m. But both runners don't look like they are forcing their bodies into difficult shapes, just calmly and collectively making huge distances between them and their second place rivals.
My favorite male athelete...did so much in such a small time
Probably one of the top 3 sprinters of all time. Jesse, Michael Johnson and Wayde. That's my top three.
He can theoretically compete till hes 40/45 years old for all we know. Anythings possible with a solid mindset and diet
I'm a huge huge WVN fan but even though he's improved his fitness and performance... He will never be "back" for us fans... I doubt he can go Sub44 again and that was what enabled him such dominance overall ... Not a win but 0,05 sec
LFG!! 🔥🔥
