- In this episode, I sat down with the most well-rounded sprinter of all time, Wayde Van Niekerk. We talked about his road to recovery after suffering from an injury. His unbelievable comeback and reclaiming the number 1 rank in the world. We explored his historic world record breaking run at the Rio Olympics, growing up alongside his cousin Cheslin Kolbe, the Springboks victory at the Rugby World Cup, Usain Bolt, competing in the 2024 Paris Olympics and much more!

Have to love him saying, 'the 100m and 200m is for fun to enjoy, but the 400m is my job' 😄. Love this guy, so much respect for him, his work ethic and perseverance is next level! Rooting for you Champ. Great interview @wideawakepodcast. Sometimes people do forget he is still the most versatile sprinter , no bias just fact. The 'sub club' is now famous because in 2016 he became the 1st sprinter to go under 10s, under 20s, under 31s and under 44s, holding both 300m and 400m records.

I no longer like that guy called Michael Johnson. He was so cocky at the Rio Olympics as an analyst because he said Wayde van Niekerk couldn't break his world record. Plus he is one of the legends vocal in discriminating against Caster Semenya.
