At exactly 43:03 Wayde says the words "being a World Record holder" and that's the time of his world record!

Have to love him saying, 'the 100m and 200m is for fun to enjoy, but the 400m is my job' 😄. Love this guy, so much respect for him, his work ethic and perseverance is next level! Rooting for you Champ. Great interview @wideawakepodcast. Sometimes people do forget he is still the most versatile sprinter , no bias just fact. The 'sub club' is now famous because in 2016 he became the 1st sprinter to go under 10s, under 20s, under 31s and under 44s, holding both 300m and 400m records.

To better the legend that is Michael Johnson is awesome. And he ran the 43.03 from the outside lane !!! I would argue that Usain Bolt is the best sprinter of all time, but that's not to take away from Van Niekerks achievements. Who knows what other records he may have broken, had he not damaged his A.C.L. South Africans should be justly proud of him.

I no longer like that guy called Michael Johnson. He was so cocky at the Rio Olympics as an analyst because he said Wayde van Niekerk couldn't break his world record. Plus he is one of the legends vocal in discriminating against Caster Semenya.
