Hey BFF, this song was on a movie soundtrack for the film, Vison Quest starring Matthew Modine. Many great artists on this soundtrack, including Journey, a young Madonna, John Waite and many more. The premise of the movie is a high school wrestler wants to drop the weight to wrestle the best wrestler in the state. But along with that he has a lot of pent-up energy and hormones and wants to make it with a temporary boarder (older woman) who is hot AF. (Could have been you for all I know) Great movie. Also, a lot of muscular, sweaty white boy wrestlers to boot. You are going to need a bigger basket!
I remember when this came out, they weren't well-known but this song got so much radio play and we heard it all the time. It's funny because it seems like it came out somewhere around the same time as the iconic Pink Floyd album The Wall. And the guitar textures on it and other treatments are so similar to some of the stuff on The Wall that people mistakenly assumed it was just another cut off of the wall that they hadn't encountered before.
It was used in the Vision Quest movie starring Matthew Modine. Check him out in the movie... you might want a special basket just for him since he plays an amateur wrestler

Not sure if anyone mentioned it, but this song is actually about being on guard against racism and facism which the band saw as becoming a problem again in the 80s with the rise of skinheads and neo-nazis in Europe and anti-immigrant sentiments in North America. That's the meaning of the lyric "we're on guard this time.... against your Final Solution" and "you're not gonna win this time" (the Final Solution being the Nazi's pogrom against the Jews.)
