My question is will the range extender deplete first (so I can stash it on the trail and pick it up later, and not have to carry it) when it’s plugged into my frame before draining my main battery? Or, does it drain both batteries equally?
Per my first question, this was the case with the shimano range extender found on Norco Range Emtbs with the e8000 motor and very convenient.
I would really like to know some of these sort of details as well. Is it equally efficient if I keep the 250 in my pack until I need it at the very end of my ride as it would be if I just started off with it plugged in? If I plug it in while taking a break with the main power off will it charge the main battery?
Awesome explanation of how the Powermore 250 works and what to expect! My Canyon Strive:On came with the 625Wh battery as the 750 was out of stock. I figure if I get the Powermore, this will put me at 875Wh and that will be plenty for a long mountain bike ride when I go out of town (Bentonville). Plus I ride mostly on Turbo because some of these mountain bike climbs are no joke!
I do have a question. Does the Powermore come with that short cable? I've read several descriptions on what comes in the box and none of them mention the cable but they all mention the trivial screws. Seems a bit weird to me.

No, unfortunately the Powermore doesn't come with that cable, it needs to be ordered in addition to the battery. Bosch do quite a few different lengths as well as having 2 models of orientation of the cable! We can order them and sell them at approximately £25 - but it doesn't sound like you're in the UK. Hope that answers your question.

as the powermore batterie alternates with the 750.bat when do you know you need to change the 250 powermore when using 2 ?
i want to have multi day rides.of 120km is the superdelite a better option?
Exactly what I wanted to know when would u change to a second powermore 250 cause what i understand is that they are both used and depleted proportionaly at the same time…
You'd deplete your main battery and first Powermore to approximately 10%, then switch to the next Powermore, it will deplete that battery until it reaches the same % as the main battery. Granted you won't completely discharge the first Powermore to zero but close enough.

I'm picking up a Cube Editor Hybrid SLT 400X this summer to be used on my daily commute, although the 400wh battery is sufficient in the summer it's going to struggle with my round commute in the winter.
I'm thinking of one of these extenders to top up my range but the price is almost the same cost as the internal 400wh that my bike has integrated! A bit too rich for my blood, we'll see if cycling home in winter changes my mind 😂

@@somisak Ended up buying a specialized vado 3 igh as my dealer couldn't get hold of the SLT model I was wanting. Bit of a shame as the vado weight significantly more but has much more range.
@jakeartis955 think my mate is after a specialised,or annoyingly a model up from mine.if he can get hold of one.
Shame this battery extender won’t work on my gazelle even though I have smart system. TBH I don’t personally need more than the 625w battery as most of my rides are around 20-25 miles in an urban setting, a few inclines but nothing too steep.
with what plug do you charge the 250w powermore? lets say xe stop at a cafe , can i charge it meanwhile using the electricity net?
You need your charger that you charge your main battery with, take the Powermore off the bike and use mains electricity.
Doesnt the Load4 come with a dual battery option? That's Bosch Smart System
It does, you're correct, as does the Homage4 so we misspoke a little in the video as we were focussing on the classic dual battery bikes from R&M, the Superdelite and Supercharger bikes. Thanks for the highlighting this.
i change my 400 watt to 500 w if the battery is empty. Buy 500w for 200 dollar.
