Rohloff tell me their trigger shift is backwards compatible!! I made a video about it at Eurobike but can't find it at the moment! Mudguards are unlikely to fit.
We have a video of the MGU on the Delite5 and Homage5 which is already live and also a short review on the Pinion stand at Eurobike. All these bikes are prototypes with delivery due from December. As soon as we get our grubby hands on them we will be taking them out for something a bit more challenging :)
is it still capable of riding off road? they made it more like a comuter? the bosch 400 compact holder system doesnt look shock prove.. ridibg on rocks and trough forest?
It can still definitely be ridden off-road. It will fit more into the trekking category than downhill though. I'll find a big mountain to ride it up when it arrives :)
@@PerSkeles It should go offroad fine, but I agree unlike the older Superdelite this reads much more as a road bike. It's odd, they went with a more knobby offroad tire and dual pistons on both wheels, but the overall look of the bike says commuter and easy riding.
In my head, the choice is between Superdelite or Charger4 with range extender as they are both on the latest Bosch Smart System. If I wanted maximum range it would always be the Charger4 GT Rohloff with range extender battery for 1000Wh battery. But having said that the Superdelite will have a 1200Wh battery when it is launched, which will give the extra range that would have been lost through the inefficiency of a full suspension frame, whilst also giving impeccable road handling and comfort. Overall...I think I would go for the Superdelite as it would give me the ability to do a far greater mix of riding :) For reference, I currently own a Supercharger!
The cloth cover is cute for an amazon DTC 1200 dollar bike. It's straight up a joke for a bike of this caliber. Huge step down from previous generation. L aura bro.
The UK is such a regulated country. 15 mph is a joke, and you'll be passed by standard peddle bike owners. Pay all that money for a tortoise. My Delite is a high-speed 25mph. What happened to the Delite mountain.
Nonsense. I am touring Europe on a normal 15mph Nevo. 15mph is a great speed, you can enjoy life at 15mph. I'm currently in Bosnia, heading for Tunisia via Italy. At 15mph I can say hello to people and get great range from my 750w battery. Speed is a daft goal, this is a bicycle FFS. Being fastest is really a stupid goal... Enjoying the ride is far more important. I vote 15mph is lovely.
I've got the present gen Superdelite and am very glad I got it, not happy with all what they're doing here. The bad - Too much plastic! Looks cheap for this ultra high end bike - That fabric top tube battery case is RIDICULOUS, I'd hate that stupid thing - The rack is nowhere as cool and nice as the older one - The older SD looks like a serious machine, the overall look of this is of a cheaper bike - A built in useless bike look that will stop nobody is a step down - No electronic horn?! Anybody can put a dinky bell on there, the horn is a step up - Kiox display, when will they ever come out with a Smart Nyon? - I like the Rohloff old shifter better, better style, this trigger shift looks plastic cheap The Good - I do like the Purion addition, but the Smart buttons are worse - The welds are smoother which is nice - Smart solution for the battery cover, but they should have don that for both tubes - The catch for the beld pretensioner is nice - Dual piston on front and back. For the life of me I have no idea why R&M went single piston on my back, I might upgrade someday I was thinking of getting a second Superdelite like the Mountain version, now no thanks ...
I've got a 2021 superdelite fully spec'd up. I think this new one is awful. looks cheap. heaps ofd weird features. that 2nd battery is odd. big misstep in my opinion this new one
Can’t wait to buy this bike in october
Thank you for sharing! This is a great electric bike. 🚴♂⚡
Great preview, wondering if you can add the new Rohloff trigger and metal mud guards (did you catch the make? ) to the legacy s / delite bikes……

Has it still gor the click on bottle mounts?
Top end bike ❤
Hi Dan, will you be reviewing the pinion MGU version. A riding video?

Looks more like commuter bike for paved and gravel roads.

Does this have a throttle
The carrier seems so fat, not sure can it fit ortlibe PANNIERS well ?
Would order one but not living in UK
Why no Pinion Gearbox
No Pinion MGU on the new Superdelite?!
Not yet! The Pinion/FIT system doesn't have a dual battery system.
For that price it reallt should have wireless seat post.
Much nicer bike to ride than the annoying coffee grinder sound of the pinion MGU. E=mtb²
1250 watt with only 4A Charger? = 9 hours chargin ? 😂😂😂
