Hi, I have a cube stereo hybrid 140 HPC pro 750. My flow app shows that the bike is ready to add a powermore module. Is this true or do I have to check the compatibility somewhere else?
Hi, and thank you for your comment. Yes, in this case, your bike is most likely compatible with the PowerMore. You can also check the charging connection on your e-bike. As we show in the video (at 1:42), if the connection has these recesses, it is another indication that the bike is compatible. Ultimately, you can also contact Cube directly, providing your model and frame number. This way, they can check whether your model is "unlocked" for the PowerMore. However, as I mentioned, if it already shows up in the app, I am 90% sure it will fit your Cube 😉 You can find the PowerMore here: www.ebike24.com/bosch-powermore-250-range-extender-smart-system Cheers - Michael
Hello and thank you for your comment. No, unfortunately not. You can only use one PowerMore battery. More info here: www.bosch-ebike.com/en/help-center/asset-asf-00972 Cheers - Michael
Hi Robert, Thank you for your comment. The PowerMore is IP65 rated, so it's highly protected from dust and can withstand rain and low-pressure water jets. But it's not submersible. If you mount it correctly, it should be suitable for off-road use. Hope this helps! Cheers - Michael
Any insight if the PowerMore compability is possible to be added afterwards for CX -systems via charge port swap / Bosch Dealer setting? Is some additional hardware needed? Does manufacturer always need to be included?
Hello Maeili, and thank you for your comment! If your bike has the CX Smart System, it could be compatible with the PowerMore already, at least on the software side. However, to confirm the compatibility, you need to visit a Bosch eBike dealer. Using the Bosch diagnostic software, the dealer can determine if your bike is "PowerMore" ready. This needs to be specified by the manufacturer. If it is not "PowerMore ready," your only option is to contact the manufacturer and ask if a software update might enable PowerMore compatibility. In the future, there might be an update to the Flow app where you can check the compatibility too. If your bike does not have the Smart System, unfortunately, the PowerMore will not be compatible in any case. Hope this helps! Feel free to contact us if you have any questions. Cheers - Michael
Hi! The extra slots on the charging port are a good sign. I also recommend taking a look in the Bosch eBike Flow app. If you go to: Settings > My eBike > eBike Pass > Components, there should be a message at the bottom telling you that you can retrofit the PowerMore to your Cube bike. If the message does not show up, then I recommend going to your local dealer. When they connect your bike to the Bosch diagnostic tool, the option "PowerMore ready" should say "yes/no", like shown in the video. Then you will definitely know if it is compatible. Cheers - Michael
Hello, how is the length of the cables that are sold in different lengths calculated? Is the length, for example, 100 mm, the length of the cable itself, not counting the plugs? Is the length counted from the beginning of the plugin to the end of the second plugin? How do I understand this? I need to buy a cable and I don’t want it to be either too long or too short, so my question is, what is the real length of the entire cable from the beginning of the plug to the end of the plug in particular dimensions? Kind regards
Hi Tom, thank you for your comment. This is a great question. In this case, the cable length is just the cable itself without the plugs. Hope this helps. Cheers - Michael
I have a Cube Stereo Hybrid 160 model 2022 with smart system, I went to the dealer and he did not find the option "Power More ready" no/yes in the diagnosis software. It is possible to missing for a smart system?
Hi Silviu, thank you for your comment. Unfortunately, your Cube is not compatible with the PowerMore in this case. If the bike is not PowerMore ready, it will not even appear as an "option" in the diagnostics. The only thing you could do would be to contact Cube directly. However, I'm afraid you'll get the same answer there. You can contact Cube here: www.cube.eu/uk-en/support/customer-support/contact/contact-form Cheers - Michael
@4 Thank you for the answer. I know that my Cube is not compatible because the frame is not guaranteed to hold the weight of the battery but the Bosch system is! I want to activate this option on my own risk and maybe I will use a strap to extra secure the battery when I will install. I will just use it when is needed otherwise I will keep it in the backpack.
@@silviu.filipescuhi there have your charging port got the extra slots in it to take the power more cable like it shows in the video. Reason I ask mine as the slots in charging port and I have the cube stereo 160 2023 model
Hi there You demonstrated at the end of your video to use the power more on its own which yielded 13% and an approximate range 4km on tour+. Was this a fully charged powermore? You didn’t explain. I’m taking it’s that and the smart system can differentiate between the capacity of a powermore and a power tube? Am I correct in assuming the power tube main battery alongside the powermore. I think Bosch have said one isn’t prioritised over the other. In practice any issues with this? Thanks
Hi, and thank you for your comment! In our case, the PowerMore was only charged to 13%, as indicated in the Flow app. Since we removed the intube battery, it did not show up anymore in the app. So, this data was only from the PowerMore. If the intube battery and the PowerMore are connected, both batteries are used simultaneously. There is no prioritisation of the batteries. This protects the cells and ensures a longer service life for your batteries. So, my tip: if you are planning a longer tour, connect both batteries directly. Hope this helps! Cheers - Michael
When this range extender will be available for ordering? There is any other range extender that you recommend and to be compatible with Bosch gen 4 non smart system?
Hi! Thanks for your comment. The range extender is already available for ordering. However, we do not yet have a binding delivery date from Bosch. The latest information is that the PowerMore will be available in mid-January. However, this date may be postponed several times. This has been our experience with Bosch's new products in recent years. Nevertheless, we remain confident that the delivery date in January will be met. At the moment this is the only range extender option for Bosch. It is compatible with Smart System drives only. If your bike does not have the Smart System, the only option is to install a second battery and use the "DualBattery" technology from Bosch. You can pre-order the PowerMore here: www.ebike24.com/bosch-powermore-250-range-extender-smart-system More information about the installation of a DualBattery for motors without Smart System: www.ebike24.com/blog/bosch-dualbattery-compatibility-installation Cheers - Michael
Hello I have CUBE reaction hybrid pro, e bike. with battery BOSH Power TUBE 500, BOSCH CX 4 line motor but not smart system, Display BOSH Purion. Will it work with this? Or only smart system motor is neccessary?
Hello Dominik, thank you for your comment. For the PowerMore range extender your bike needs a smart system motor so this would not work with your Bosch CX Gen. 4 motor. If your current PowerTube 500 battery has an adapter attached (like this: www.ebike24.com/conway-bosch-powertube-adapter-500-625-battery) then the 625 Wh battery fits without using an adapter. If it doesn't have this adapter it will not fit. This is because the 625 Wh is a bit longer than the 500. The adapter is then used to fil the space of the shorter 500 Wh battery. You can find the 625 battery here: www.ebike24.com/bosch-powertube-625wh-e-bike-battery Cheers - Michael
