Photography tutorial describing how to take a photo of the colorful rainbow patterns found in in stressed plastic when placed between two polarizing filters.
LOVE your videos, plain and simple. Keep uploading!!!! please.
hey this is cool i tried this for about an hour and alot of the pics were great! you dont even have to have a camera! you can just wear the 3d glasses u get at the movies and look at ur white computer screen with the plastic and it looks sycadelic man!
Love your stuff, you are a rare talent all round would recommend your videos to anyone who loves being creative. Keep up great work mate. Bryan from OZ
Also the reason why the picture has a black background is because the filters are perpendicular to one another angle wise so the light is blocked out apart from the light coming through the plastic as it changes the plane of polarisation
Dude, that's sick! I need to get a polarizing filter! What filters should I get, if any? Thanks! And when you had the toilet paper on there I literally laughed out loud. Your videos are awesome! :)
Try more different celophane/plastic wrap stuff. When you pull on it or rip it the same photoelasticity (actually called "stress-induced birefringence") effect will appear. Some will be colored only at the stress points (food shrink-wrap), but some will be psychodelic through and through ("ready meal" sealing film). Also try transparent bottle labels.
It all depends on the type of plastic, so experiment :)
VERY cool vid. Thanks for the info. Cool photos!
You sure know how to manipulate light...:)
Great video!

Great videos, but I am currently using the T3i with 18-55mm. Is there anyway I can do this without using the filter?
You're Amazing!
Beautiful images.
You're so cute with braces !!! :D I really love that !
What setting you did on the laptop screen??
The plastic is optically active meaning it changes the angle of polarisation
Great tutorials,Could you please show me the one with your hands over your face, keep up the great work, thanks eugene, rep of ireland
Do you know any good polarizing filters for Sony cameras? If it helps, I have a Sony A-200. I really like this idea :)

@MenacingPhantom You don't need top of the line equipment to shoot good photos. You need basic English and grammar skills to make it in life, though...
