    very nice trick. I also saw your water-trick tutorial. These photos come out like they're some computerised products. Amazingly beautiful man

    Thank you for this awesome idea. After watching the video it took me 3 minutes to get set up and do it myself. Results were absolutely psychedelically amazing in a dark room, ISO 100, 15'' at f/11 . Try it, it is so much fun!

    Bulb mode is when you can set the shutter exposure time for as long as you want. Canon's usually require you to hold the shutter while other cameras let you click twice.

    Another technique for dropping water on the disc. You can take out the sprayer/straw of a windex type bottle and fill it with water. It slowly drops out, you can slowly spray if you're careful.
    I had to get creative without my water dropper thingy

    that flashlight was soo cool, i mean you can adjust the beam and take the cap off.. like any other flashlight

    @sapphirefiredragon to isolate the cd, place it up on a pedestal to provide some separation between the CD and the black background. This way when you use a light from the side the background will be easier to keep dark.

    Thank you so much for the tutorial, I'm doing this right now and loving the results. I don't have a dslr, but my camera does have a setting that allows me to achieve this effect. I'm so glad I finally decided to try this out!

  • @flowkay57
    @flowkay57 11 лет назад

    You set your exposure time to whatever you want, and then press the shutter release button. It will start the long exposure, and you will hear the shutter disengage when it finishes.

    Nice! If you have an Olympus OMD camera, its "Live Bulb" Mode makes this easy as it builds the image and shows progress on the screen. When done, close the shutter :)

    Try this: put the CD in some kind of a player that makes a CD visible on the top, spin it and put a laser beam on the top. Experiment with aperture and exposure, enjoy :D
