I love the cEDH content, but I do still wish we could get multiple games in one episode when we get these shorter games.

I think aaron is the one that comes up with most of the jokes in the show. It’s been confirmed to be that he comes up with the deck intro tidbits for sure though!
Its weird how antithetical to what I enjoy about Magic cEDH is, and yet the Spikefeeders are so great that I still enjoy the videos immensely

Solid game, folks! I need to play my cEDH deck more often so I can get used to it. It's Winota, so not super complicated, but I need to get a better feel for timing and which hands to keep.
One minor correction: Jim says you can make an opponent draw with baleful mastery as a cost of playing the card, and that's not quite correct. The draw happens on the spell's resolution.
While technically true, everything he said still works. Just adding that FYI for anybody who had to go reread the card because you gave them a heart attack like you did me.

@cobaltbeau true, but I had already been thinking of which card to cut in my favorite cEDH deck when I read your comment and said "wait, was this member of the CAG lying to me?"
I know dome people hate cedh and the price point kills it from mainstream play but god damn are games so interesting when every deck is so tuned to just try to win. Its like the F1 racing of magic where any small decision can heavily impact the outcome of the game. Love the content, wish there was a game 2

Serious question: if burrito splendito feeds the spikes before each game, have yall started getting tired of the food since you upload multiple videos most weeks? Or do yall just fill 3-4 games in one day and they feed you that one day once a week? Or is the food actually just that good that you can’t even get sick of it? These are the things i consider when planning to travel to Manitoba.
We generally film 4 games in a filming day, going from about 9:30am to 4:30pm including lunch. The burritos are genuinely really good though!

Slight correction, but I understand he played the deck for the first time: The Nekuzar player tapped the spire for colored mana, when it actually needs Metalcraft to activate that ability
It does not. It merely requires ONE artifact (it's from the Kaladesh, not the second Mirrodin block).
@@kevinwestermann1001 Oh wow, really? I had that card forever in my Galazeth deck. Guess I never really read it - probably got it confused because all of the metalcraft cards in that deck :D

Stupid question but do the new squire boxes fit in the dungeon thing? I have many game genic boxes and was just making sure these are compatible with that before I buy them.
The squire plus will fit 4 in a Dungeon 550+, but the sidekick pro doesn't fit. Check out our review videos and you can see the various configurations!

What exactly does cEDH-adjacent mean? I'm still looking for the definitive line between casual and competitive.
It is a term I just made up to describe decks that aren't widely perceived as cEDH decks. There is no definitive line, but some people throw a fit when I describe off-meta decks as cEDH decks.

Could someone explain why Jerry’s combo works?
Worldgorger Dragon reads: “return the exiled cards to the battlefield “
Animate Dead reads: “When [it] enters the battlefield, it loses ‘enchant creature in a graveyard’ -“
So shouldn’t Animate Dead just fizzle out since it wasn’t cast targeting a creature in the graveyard?

When an aura enters the battlefield without being cast, its controllers CHOOSES an appropriate target according to its "Enchant X" line. This does not target, though.

@@Korakowlosing the ability is on an etb trigger so it has the ability to enchant worldgorger before losing the ability.
checking if an aura is still on a valid target is a state based action, which isnt checked until after resolution. Once animate dead is finished with resolving its etb trigger, worldgorger is still a legal target since it was a creature put onto the battlefield with animate dead

With all the negativity online regarding the last bans, I felt compelled to show my support for the whole Rules Committee!
Angry people are always gonna lash out, but for each of them there might be way more content with the bans, and personally I am in full support both of the ban itself AND of the way it was handled.
