Paris is a wonderful city, and so is the entire France! So much culture everywhere! I really hope you will enjoy your stay and I strongly recommend you to go out of Paris too at some point, if you're staying that long. I would really like "visual journal" kind of videos of your trip, of your explorations and findings. There is a small place that I fell in love with in Paris. I don't even remember the name of it, but it was a small quiche restaurant across Notre Dame, over the Seine river, with the most amazingly intimate atmosphere and with a plethora of choices for quiches, from classic to desserts and good music. Welcome to Europe, I hope you enjoy your stay and I hope our friendly French subscribers will take good care of you, and you of them. Many many hugs from Romania (lowkey hoping one day you will want to visit here too

Depending on what you're interested in, you could find a little bit of everything here, from castles, monasteries, landscapes, culture and a lot of rustic charm. Transylvania is the go to region for visitors, but there are a lot of gems in this country! If you ever need help/recommendations let me know and I will be more than happy to provide them for you
You should go to Un Monde Vegan! I know you're not vegan but its got tons of really cool and healthy vegan and cruelty free products. I lived in Spain last year and went to Paris twice during my stay and stocked up on vegan candy and goodies. Also def check out some vintage stores if you haven't already, the best thing to do alone is wander around all the vintage and antiques, to shop or to just peruse.
Paris market/food shop and meal prep video with what you find? Old bookshop exploration? A video with a random subscriber bringing you to a couple of their favorite places (be it thrifting or nature or something fun)? A Parisian-style makeup routine or shopping at a French pharmacy for some fun French beauty cult classics?
You are a brave and lovely lady, and to be admired for wandering out of your comfort zone. Actually, u remind me a lot of my eldest daughter. My blessings to u on your new journey in Paris 🤗.
i think that i really needed this video! i am a french major and hope to study abroad for spring 2020. but i have been very reluctant and scared from just thinking about it. it truly comforts me to know that you are okay with being outside of your comfort zone, especially in a language you aren't fluent in. :~)
Have fun Julia! I hope you can show us around when you get a chance! Maybe not your thing but I’ve always wanted to see what a Paris bake shop looks like! If not, that’s ok too! Be safe and don’t sweat the haters! You just live your best Paris life! Lots of love ❤️. p.s. RUclips has unsubscribed me now twice. Wtf? Lol. I’ll keep checking to make sure I stay subscribed. Take Care
You should drink a beer at McD. It's the little differences. ^^ Seriously. From Paris you can actually reach other European Countries easily and quickly. So could plan a trip or two. Maybe go to a football game. It's quite intense.
I’m so happy for you to finally be where you’ve been earning to be. I agree with everything you said. I suffer from depression too and being outside of my comfort zone and putting myself out there helps. I hope you’re having a lovely time.
I just came back from a trip to Europe (including Paris) recently and didn't speak any of the languages , that was actualy part of the fun, it was kinda like the music of the city. Besides, You will be surprised how many people there speak English. Google translate helped alot too. I had to use it in a pharmacy, both to read the labels on boxes and to ask the pharmacist questions. It surprised me that I never really felt like I couldn't communicate with someone if I needed to. Also I suggest making contact with the U.S. embassy if you haven't already, they can give you safe haven in the event of (heaven forbid)some kind of emergency. Have a blast while you are there and I am so happy for you to have this opportunity, may you have many more!
This is awesome! I’m so proud of you. I’m 32 and I’ve always regretted not traveling out of the country in my twenties. I’ll live vicariously through you. Thank you for the “trip”🥰
Since you'll be staying in France for a wee while, I recommend you spend a week end (or more) in Bordeaux, the weather should be a bit nicer and the city is great, close to the ocean and the vineyards! Moving away is tough and messy but it's all so worth it!
Amazing oppotunity! What kind of city do you like? With ouigo.com you can take the train for a very affordable price and go discover France like us french people do, for 2 to 3 days. For example I currently live in Bordeaux, definitly worth seeing and we are at about an hour from Le Bassin d'Arcachon with beautiful places like La Dune du Pyla or Le Cap Ferret, where my family in law has a house. And I used to live in La Rochelle, which is a very cute little city. For Paris, I know you already went to Wild & The Moon and I told you on Instagram about La Palanche d'Aulac (vietnamese vegan restaurant) and VG Pâtisserie (vegan croissant). As a vegan I only have vegan recommendations sorry! Quick Hot Dog at Hot Vog. Something more fancy, Le Potager de Charlotte. I heard a looooot of good things from french influencers about Jah Jah By Le Tricycle but never went there. And the best burger for my boyfriend and I : at Season Square. They also have an AMAZING cinnamon roll
Thank you so much for the recs! I have written your other ones down in my todo list and appreciate them so much! I love vegan food of course and am always looking for great vegan/veg spots. ❤️
I've always wanted to just run off and live in another country for awhile, but I've let fear and my anxiety hold me back. So excited to follow you on this journey.
Great joice, Julia!!! Place is looking cosy and very positive. Funny when you said, that you already miss your cats....💓💚💓 Enjoy your time here in europe😊💚
If you decide to pop to the UK, you are welcome to stay in my house. I bet you miss your cats a lot .... When I am away I miss my cat more than I miss the hubby LOL Enjoy Paris, it's a beautiful city !! :)
Paris is my favorite city, soooo looking forward to these videos. Even just walking around Paris doing nothing, I'd watch hours of that. Living on your own away from home, esp. in a foreign country long term is such an incredible experience, with both the ups and downs. I hope you learn a lot about yourself! Have fun and stay safe!
would love a paris what i eat in a day/grocery haul. also would love some videos on the differences of doing zero/low waste in somewhere like LA versus paris! and a minimalist luggage tour would be cool. just a few ideas. i hope you enjoy france, kudos to getting out of your comfort zone!!
I would love to eventually move to Paris one day even if it’s for a short time. I’ve always wanted to do that but my life has never let up enough for me to do so. Before I’m 30 I WILL be in Paris. Love you Julia! ❤️
Julia please do a M&G, I would looove to meet you but on one on one I'd be too intimidated haha. I study at La Sorbonne, do you hang out in Vth arrondissement ? Near the Pantheon/St Michel ?
I am thinking about doing a couple intimate meetups at coffee shops/cafes here in Paris, I will post about them in Instagram stories when I have organized them ❤️
I don't know if you are planning on visiting other French cities, but if yes then Lyon is AMAZING! They are 2 differents cities, but I do prefer Lyon to Paris personally, especially at night as it's a lot more safe (just don't stay too much at the "Guillotière"). I would say it's at its most beautiful during the summer since you can eat and drink on houseboats (péniches) and lay in grass at the Tête d'Or park (there is a zoo area as well + a mini lake where you can rent a "pedalo"). But I like this city all year round. You can do everything by feet, the old city is lovely, they are some "hidden doors" (traboules), the Place Bellecour is big and beautiful (at night the Grand Eye is lightened). There is also the Basilique de Fourvière. I'm not religious but from the top of the hill you have an amazing view of the entire city, and you can walk down from there to the old city, and see some plants along the way :) Since you don't eat meat, you won't really be able to eat at the local restaurant there (bouchons), but they are really nice vegetarian restaurant nonetheless (Against the grain for example). I wish you an amazing journey in France!
👋 hey Julia! I’d love to hear a little bit more on how you screen or determine which subscribers to meet up with, whether abroad or in LA. I’m genuinely curious & think if you did a video on it, there might be some tips for those of us who wanna meet online friends and how to be cautious! Thanks for sharing with us! xx
Thats amazing! Try to explore around your living area, dont stay at home ❤ so happy for you, would love to meet you but I'm actually from Portugal 💕 I would love to see a video with your morning routine in paris, things that you love about being there...and what do you eat as well Lots of love xx
If you have any encounters with or observations about the Yellow Vests, I would love to hear them. It's something the media doesn't seem to want to report on in the US, but I think the movement is very important as a social phenomenon. Stay safe and warm!
@@fxjrulpzxi perhaps Julia will give an ASMR treatment to a Yellow Vest, that would be awesome. They could used the relief, after all they've been through.
I need to make a video ' why is this video in my recommended list?'. Also, I watched your video till end i liked it. Just a tip. I was in Paris last year from June to September. Just be cautious walking on streets in darks. Its really not safe
Very interesting video and great you do this for yourself! Being in Paris, you could meet up with Made In France ASMR - ruclips.net/user/MadeInFranceASMR And maybe do an ASMR collaboration with him? He should definitely be a trustworthy 'stranger' to meet up with! He sure knows some good places to go too.
Take yourself to Père Lachaise Cemetery! I spent an entire day there, in the rain, walking around, checking out the gravestones (Molière, Chopin, Pierre Abélard and Héloïse d'Argenteuil, etc.) and greenery. It was heavenly. Free too.
In one of your previous videos, you mention doing a hypnosis video. I think something like that, calming with hand movements, with some sort of picture of Paris in the window behind you, would be wonderful. Paris skyline, a park, etc. Or just the pretty window you shared here.
please make some paris ASMR videos! :) With subscribers is one option. But it could also be with sounds of Paris in the background. Not everyone find that relaxing, but I think some videos with background noice can be relaxing. Just my 2 cents.
Hi Julia, thank you for your inspiring videos. I totally understand your decision to challenge yourself. I moved to Vancouver in 2016 after finishing med school cause I felt like when to do something crazy...now or never. Now me and my Canadian boyfriend are moving to Prague.🙆 Life. Have fun!
So exciting! I like that...3 months. Long enough to know what Paris living is like but not permanent. I would love to see "A Day in the Life" type of video where we just basically tag along. Maybe zero waste stores or access in Paris...food definitely. A morning routine also. Of course ASMR. Neighborhood tour? If you can do it without offending people lol.
I also regretted never studying abroad in my 20s.... which is why I moved to just outside of Paris last year right before turning 30. (I’m from Maryland.) It’s possible! Hope you enjoy your stay here and find some Paris/French magic ✨😃
Well done for following your dream! Some videos of what hidden gems you discover whilst in Paris, and of course ASMR videos! Wishing you lots of happy adventures in Paris ❤️
Asmr vids; of course! And I’m sure we would all just like to see your day vlogs, just clips throughout the day would be amazing. And we’d be “with” you as you go. Your “dream day” in Paris. Wish I was there, I’d love to chill with you. Have so much fun beautiful! You deserve it❤️
I moved to indonesia, completely alone, about 10 months ago. i FEEL this, it took me about 2 weeks to finally gain the courage to wander by myself. You probably won't miss america tho... i just miss taco bell tbh 😂
I have never built the courage to ask this, but I live in Los Angeles, CA and whenever you return back to LA, and are looking for a model for one of your ASMR videos, I would love to volunteer in helping you make one!! I watch your videos every night (Literally every night) before I go to bed and I have recommended your ASMR videos to all of my friends/family that also have a hard time relaxing and going to sleep. Nothing for them had worked before I introduced them to your videos. They and I love your passion and how much you care to help others relax - I would love to be one of your volunteers! Overall, THANK YOU for helping me relax everyday. You have made such an impact on my life, your channel has honestly became a part of my daily routine and I that is why I appreciate and support everything you do. Thank you.
I don't understand why anyone would give you a hard time for going to Paris and trying to put a label on if it's a vacation or living there or what not. That is such an absurd thing, honestly.. But I do hope that you will enjoy Paris and France as much as you can, I've been there a few times myself and I absolutely love it. I've moved from my home country (which is the Czech Republic and if you like Paris, you should definitely visit Prague as well) and it can be really scary, especially if you don't speak the language. Full disclosure though, I'm super happy for you and I am looking forward to some amazing asmr videos from Paris! As someone suggested below, vlogs and the outside world would be amazing to see ^^ both in asmr and non-asmr form, I'd enjoy whichever you'd make :D
I am from Paris and since I have moved to the US. All of my favorites youtubers are going to Paris :'))) I have never missed my city that much before. Anyway, enjoy I am looking forward seeing my city "in your shoes"!

Hearing you talk about your travel and adjustment to France has me refreshing my thinking about where I live. I’ve moved to a rural Missouri town from Kansas City to be with my husband. I’ve lived here for almost 2 years and have adjusted well. After hearing your story I’ve started exploring my “new” home more and enjoying life’s current flow. Enjoy your adventure!
so jealous!!! currently doing homework and I came to youtube to look up biology videos and saw your pretty face! It looks incredible there... enjoy it!
What about doing a Paris site seeing video? You are surrounded by history and elegance! There is so much beautiful content waiting to be captured. I loved my time in Paris. Have you been to the red light district yet? I think you would love Moulin Rouge. I stayed in a hostel in that area and felt totally safe (I solo traveled to Paris) and still recommend that area. Sacre Coeur church is in that area as well. Go at dusk! Did you go to Pere Lachaise Cemetery? So many famous, interesting people are buried there. Go early in the morning if you do (Its so quiet and peaceful). Oh! Take the train to Versailles! It's only about a hr away from Paris. Enjoy your time wholeheartedly 💚
Hey Lady! I was in France this summer for a huge hike in which the goal was to circumnavigate Mnt. Blanc, a massive peak smack in the middle of the French, Swiss, and Italian Alps. Half way though, I fell and horribly injured my left knee. I remember realizing I was, as that time, in rural Switzerland and didn't speak a lick of anything that could possibly help me out. I sat at the tiniest cafe, sobbing until I figured out what to do next. I was absolutely terrified to find my way around only knowing english. I was thankfully with my partner who encouraged me to suck it up, convinced me of my courage and promised finding my way from refuge to refuge without him would be an adventure. I was honestly surprised how little french I actually needed to know and by the end of my journey I had so many memories of laughter , love and new friendships in which the language barrier was the least of my worries. I found the majority of people spoke a bit of English and we're willing to help me out in most circumstances even in the most rural of towns. You'll be fine in Paris , my dear. 😚💞 If all else fails, smile and say "merci" !
first thing I thought when the video started was "omg this looks like Paris; coud she ACTUALLY be in Paris ?" I'm French and have been living in Paris for years. I absolutely love your channel, let me know if you need any advice on how to get around the city or what to visit or whatever. Enjoy your stay !
You should film a video of exploring the city one day! See what you can find. That’s always my favorite thing, discovering little hidden parts that no one really pays attention to.
Hey you are in France! I hope you will enjoy it! Paris is a beautiful city, not my favourite (I'm French BTW) but the architecture is amazing 😍 I actually very recently moved from Berlin to Stuttgart and my boyfriend will join me at the end of March only, so I feel like we are both experimenting the same thing now! And I do agree, some distance can be very beneficial to the relationship, it's important to be able to exist on your own, in order to be better together. My boyfriend and I have been together 7 years and although I miss him terribly, it's kind of nice to have time to acclimate to my new town and make friends of my own! Listen, Stuttgart is only an hour away from Strasbourg (which you should absolutely visit as it's incredibly beautiful in a different way than Paris and it's also very convenient to travel from Paris to Strasbourg by train) so if you feel like you want to discover Strasbourg with me, I'd love to meet you there for a day! Feel free to message me if that sounds like something you'd want to do, my insta is hot4plants 😊 Good night!
My dad took me to Paris for my 13th birthday and it's one of my favorite childhood memories ☺️ (well, if I ignore the fact that I got super attached to a stray cat and wanted to take her back home with me 😅😓) I hope you have the best time! Going abroad alone for a month is not a vacation, you're a brave, independent warrior princess ❤️ Lots of love from Slovenia (if you ever swing by Italy, I live just 20min from the boarder 🦊)
Go Go Go Go Girl, Paris is amazing and although i think february isn't the best month to fully appreciate the city. It's that time in between winter and spring that always makes me feel in between things as well. Paris is always a great experience. Although i just spend a few days in LA and came back to Frankfurt the difference was quite Substancial, early spring weather and sunshine in Redondo and the grey rain in Frankfurt upon returning. Enjoy your time. I Hope it does you well..
I was an au pair in Switzerland for two years and I’m from Toronto, Canada! I did it all by myself, it was also my first time flying as well (I was 20 at the time) when I first left. It is such a cool experience! I also didn’t speak any French and had not studied it for 6 years prior so it is intimidating! As long as you try when you are out, the French people will love you for it. Hope you embrace it and have a blast! Wish I was there, you are super lucky. Xo

Sticky Coyote she is vegan , she videoed a whole day in what she eats with recipes .
Take Care
Id like to see paris coffee shop asmr , or a vlog walking around for the day
Wow. When you are in Paris now, why not to visit the bay of Mont Saint-Michel? It's so wonderful, I d like to see it through your eyes 😊
I visited it too, it's really beautiful! I'd also like to see how Julia experiences it :)
@@Marie-oh8es might be really very nice experience ☺️
Maybe connect with antastesia she is a Parisian you tuber fluent in English
You should drink a beer at McD. It's the little differences. ^^
Seriously.
Hope you’re having a wonderful time!
This is awesome! I’m so proud of you. I’m 32 and I’ve always regretted not traveling out of the country in my twenties. I’ll live vicariously through you. Thank you for the “trip”🥰
Same♥️
It's never too late! Thank you so much for your support ❤️
Since you'll be staying in France for a wee while, I recommend you spend a week end (or more) in Bordeaux, the weather should be a bit nicer and the city is great, close to the ocean and the vineyards! Moving away is tough and messy but it's all so worth it!
So happy you are in Paris, I really hope you will enjoy this great adventure ❤
A grocery store/french market haul and/or some cooking videos would be amazing - I love seeing what other countries have food-wise
How wonderful for you making memories ❤️ and living life to the fullest please show us Paris at night...🗼
Video Ideas: love everyday stuff, what does the petrol station like, take us to buy t.p, how much do stamps cost etc... (Or anything similar to that)
J’habite dans le sud de la France,j’espère que ton séjour va bien se passer ! 💚
Pop to Good Old London Town on the way home! 😃 Have a pint in the pub or sample Pie and Mash!! 🍻🍻
Alice’s Dream lol!
Great joice, Julia!!!
Place is looking cosy and very positive.
Funny when you said, that you already miss your cats....💓💚💓
Enjoy your time here in europe😊💚
This video honestly made me feel so happy. I can’t explain it. Enjoy it ❤️
Love the cozy feels at the beginning. Have fun with your stay in Paris and can’t wait to see what you create ❤️
Bienvenue à Paris 😊
dans 2 semaine Elle voudra retourner a la maison, paris cest pas comme dans les film 😂
would love a paris what i eat in a day/grocery haul. also would love some videos on the differences of doing zero/low waste in somewhere like LA versus paris! and a minimalist luggage tour would be cool. just a few ideas. i hope you enjoy france, kudos to getting out of your comfort zone!!
I am thinking about doing a couple intimate meetups at coffee shops/cafes here in Paris, I will post about them in Instagram stories when I have organized them ❤️
@@itsblitzzz yaay 🤗 looking forward to it !!
mmm such a healthy plate of food !! have a great time
I don't know if you are planning on visiting other French cities, but if yes then Lyon is AMAZING!
I'm not religious but from the top of the hill you have an amazing view of the entire city, and you can walk down from there to the old city, and see some plants along the way :)
Since you don't eat meat, you won't really be able to eat at the local restaurant there (bouchons), but they are really nice vegetarian restaurant nonetheless (Against the grain for example).
I wish you an amazing journey in France!
So amazing. Also, love seeing how much your videos have progressed in terms of editing & stylistic choice!
Thank you so much!
Try to explore around your living area, dont stay at home ❤ so happy for you, would love to meet you but I'm actually from Portugal 💕
I would love to see a video with your morning routine in paris, things that you love about being there...and what do you eat as well
Lots of love xx
If you have any encounters with or observations about the Yellow Vests, I would love to hear them. It's something the media doesn't seem to want to report on in the US, but I think the movement is very important as a social phenomenon. Stay safe and warm!
@@fxjrulpzxi perhaps Julia will give an ASMR treatment to a Yellow Vest, that would be awesome. They could used the relief, after all they've been through.
Love your channel!!❤️
LOTs of peaple hates california and LA and move out. Its too much madness, but Paris is not that much better.
Bon Voyage, Julia. I hope you have so much fun in Paris. Sending you good vibes and positive energy. 💚
i've always wanted to live in Paris for a while so this is really cool to see that you're actually doing it! stay safe and have an amazing time! x
Love this! So brave and timely. Do it while you have the time because it's not promised to anyone.
I need to make a video ' why is this video in my recommended list?'. Also, I watched your video till end i liked it. Just a tip. I was in Paris last year from June to September. Just be cautious walking on streets in darks. Its really not safe
You can guess it's Paris from its typical nice grey roofs.
Spend a night in a youth hostel you’ll meet a lot of cool young people ! Lots of back packers to go to dinner with
Insightful video, very human and engaging. You're very talented.
Shakespeare & Co. bookstore. Next to Notre Dame. YOU-WON'T-REGRET-IT. Best place in Paris.
Have fun ... I never liked LA too much .... St. Petersburg, Russia is wonderful and Prague :)
Very interesting video and great you do this for yourself! Being in Paris, you could meet up with Made In France ASMR - ruclips.net/user/MadeInFranceASMR
And maybe do an ASMR collaboration with him? He should definitely be a trustworthy 'stranger' to meet up with! He sure knows some good places to go too.
Take yourself to Père Lachaise Cemetery! I spent an entire day there, in the rain, walking around, checking out the gravestones (Molière, Chopin, Pierre Abélard and Héloïse d'Argenteuil, etc.) and greenery. It was heavenly. Free too.
I’d like to see a video on how you set this up (how did you find where you’re staying this long-did you need a visa?-etc)
In one of your previous videos, you mention doing a hypnosis video. I think something like that, calming with hand movements, with some sort of picture of Paris in the window behind you, would be wonderful. Paris skyline, a park, etc. Or just the pretty window you shared here.
I don't speak French either but many many people speak english! Especially at restaurants/cafes/bars so don't be too intimidated!
please make some paris ASMR videos!
Monday nights at Cafe Le Chat Noir on rue Jean-Pierre Timbaud for Spokenword Paris. Great group of people... it's a really fun night.
You deserve it❤️
I live 1 hour from Paris!!! I can definitively come to say hello!!!!!! I know some creative people there and they are very friendly!
If you’ll be there till mid-March, you can check out this museum! It’s currently closed but reopens Feb 22 with two exhibits. Van Gogh artwork projected on the walls set to music, plus a shorter exhibit of Japanese artwork!! www.atelier-lumieres.com/en/event
Wouldn't mind if you add a vlog of your adventures in France... Just saying! Hahaha
Sending good vibes your way!
"i already miss my cats" me 30 mins after leaving the house
first thing I thought when the video started was "omg this looks like Paris; coud she ACTUALLY be in Paris ?" I'm French and have been living in Paris for years.
My dad took me to Paris for my 13th birthday and it's one of my favorite childhood memories ☺️ (well, if I ignore the fact that I got super attached to a stray cat and wanted to take her back home with me 😅😓)
I hope you have the best time! Going abroad alone for a month is not a vacation, you're a brave, independent warrior princess ❤️
Lots of love from Slovenia (if you ever swing by Italy, I live just 20min from the boarder 🦊)
Xo
Hi Julia! WOW doing what you're doing takes a lot of courage. Moving to a foreign country has been my dream since I was in high school. And lately I've been thinking too much the idea of leaving my country and try somewhere else. But I guess that kind of decision aren't easy. Anyways, I'm so happy for you and this new adventure you get to live! Enjoy ir for me too! 😘
