- Hi friends 🌹 Very excited and grateful to be collaborating with legend Phoebe Bridgers in today’s video. I was really glad to read that ASMR was an inspiration for her latest album, Punisher (read more about what influenced her album here on Pitchfork: bit.ly/31723ZB). Basically, we chatted on the internet (how else do people meet these days?) and then she came to my house to film and it s was a very relaxing time with good convo and lots of humor. Having followed Phoebe for years now, I'm always used to see her with her razor sharp mind ready and her dark humor on point. Seeing her here with her guard down and relaxed feels so intimate, almost invasive. She often speaks about her inability to enjoy the good things on her life in the moment, so I hope she could let go and enjoy this. She's a very special artist.

I remember watching this video a few weeks after it had come out, with my cousin Jack. I hadn't seen him in a while before hand, but it was very relaxing for the both of us. Whenever I see this video, I think of him and the comfort and warmth that I always felt around him. He is no longer with us physically, but I feel like in some ways, the calm this video brings me, is the calmness I feel when I think of him. Thank you for this video and for keeping a part of my cousin Jack alive and warm and the comfort it brings.

That was actually so lovely to watch awh, i would imagine the music industry can be an incredibly taxing and stressful thing at times and for phoebe to be able to have this experience and be disconnected from that for a while without the demand and pressure of answering and moderating questions must be so relaxing. It feels like such and invasive and intimate thing to have experienced with her but at the same time it's a healing to see people so vulnerable and grounded in themselves and their surroundings, especially people who may experience some not very nice things from people. Thank you for this, seriously, and thank you for allowing phoebe to let go of some of the pressure she may have been holding! ❤
