Just picked the card up this week with a targeted $300 cash back with $1500 spend in 60 days. Easy $300 bucks for a no annual fee card. It will get rotation just for the 3% and the 0 APR Apple financing.
@@ProudMoney Via email. When I clicked on the link and processed through the application, it didn’t reference the offer. I called before accepting to verify that it was active and the rep confirmed it was an active deal. He stated that as long as I clicked the link, I was good for the $300 sub.
I called Goldman Sachs just now (again) to confirm and he said that they couldn’t confirm. As long as I clicked the link and filled out the application, accepted the card and fulfilled the $1500 in spend in 60 days, I am good. Definitely an odd interaction with their customer service, but that’s coming from someone who is deep in the Amex system.
Unless one is wetting themself over Chase 5/24 or is already facing AA from multiple banks for having 40 other open accounts, when is a no annual fee credit card ever not worth getting/keeping?
What attracted me to the Apple Card was the savings payback at 4.40 APY. I am not concerned if Goldman sells the program as my FICO is well over 800 with a zero delinquency history. I like the no interest rate and nor fee structure, but folks with poor credit history should pay late fees, etc. well, let’s see what happens. Besides, we pay the balance on the card promptly to avoid any interest charges. This program fits well with us. I hope they continue with the high yield savings account.
I like the AppleCard for purchases when I'm travelling outside of the USA. There's no international transaction fee and with ApplePay, there's 2% cash back. What I am hoping is that if Chase picks up AppleCard that they will change it to a Visa, so that it can be used at Costco. (Costco only accepts Visa)
That would make it one of the best on the market, if not THE best. a flat 2% with no FTF and no fees, extra cash back on various stores and 0% financing is a no brainer. However, since there are so many reasons a company won't accept apple Pay, it falls behind even the most basic 2%
Apple Card is accepted nearly everywhere. If you’re worried about sit down restaurants, get the Amex Gold. If you’re worried about Walmart, do yourself a favor and go to Aldi or Meijer instead.
I asked an Apple Card phone representative what will happened to the Apple Card and they had no idea Apple and Goldman Sachs was splitting up. I told her that it was announced in The Wallstreet Journal. Then she started panicking about losing her jobs. 😳🤷🏽♂
Every store won’t take Apple Pay (I.e using your phone at checkout with the Apple credit card in ur virtual wallet). In those stores if u want to use the card you’ll have to have the physical card
So what happens to the savings account when they switch over? Or what if they cant find a bank to switch to? Do we lose our savings? Should i pull it all out? I need to know please 😅
Apple is currently offering $100 and $300 bonuses but apparently they're invite-only. Strange that they're puc=shing for more cardholders since there's a change coming. Also, my Apple Card interest rate is only 16.24%.
I asked an Apple Card phone representative what will happened to the Apple Card and they had no idea Apple and Goldman Sachs was splitting up. I told her that it was announced in The Wallstreet Journal. Then she started panicking about losing her job.
As I say in the video, getting approved is probably easier now than it will be in the future. I don't expect other major changes to the card, only that a different issuer will decline more applicants thsn Goldman Sachs has.
A question bug boss If I pre-qualified with city will they show me my limit like the apple card or no I have learned so much from you so thank you so much
Sounds like got hurt by accepting too many people on the low end of credit worthiness. Didn’t they initially open it up without an effect on people’s credit, then they changed it? Either way, if people aren’t paying their bill, their credit score will really go down.
I read/hear that Goldman lost money because apple actually tries to educate the customer and incentivizes them to not carry a balance. Eve showing how much they’ll pay in interest if they carry a balance. Goldman was making less money because people weren’t paying as much in interest charges. The credit card, to my knowledge, was always “no hit to credit” if you check your their offer. But once you do hit accept, then it shows up as a credit hit.
Chase and Citibank and Barclay's and Synchrony already turn down the Apple Card in 2019 because Apple wanted easy approvals for everyone and no fees, plus no selling customer's data. No thanks. The only bank that would agree to those terms is a Goldman Sachs because they are mostly for investments so they don't have any products to offer the average American. The Apple Card was the way for Goldman Sachs to connect with average people but it cost them too much money. Why would any other bank pick up the Apple Card after seeing what happened to Goldman Sachs?!?
I work in nightlife, and we refuse to take these cards because without the full number on the card, we have a very hard time fighting chargebacks. We also refuse to do tap to pay and apple pay. A lot of businesses are starting to do this because of charge backs.
Apple makes more money when you use🍎Pay. They don’t control the fee structure/the merchant processing that’s attached to the physical card. So if they can convince you to use 🍎pay they can charge more in merchant fees. That’s probably why Walmart doesn’t accept their service.
Essentially, if you pay off your $100 before 28 days then its just $100, but if you dont pay before the 28 days, after the 28 days you will accrue “interest” which they’ll just add on like $1 for the next month potentially, then if u dont pay the next month you’re total can be like $102 instead of $100
I used this card maybe the first 3 months I had it and initially opened with a CL of 10k. Not an apple user myself im not fond of their products so don't see a point in using this card for anything at this point I keep it for the credit history.

They probably did it to get Apple Pay adopted more widely.
There is way more fraud with physical cards it costs them less to process Apple Pay. Simple math actually.
