Each region's archon quest had underlying themes of their respective archon's ideals.
Mond, stormbearer went out of control (freedom).
Liyue, Morax decieves his own people, everything and osial was pre-planned, when contracts are made for peaceful agreements (regardless if Zhongli was going to join in when things "got out of hand". To what extent and with how many casualties?)
Inazuma, trying to achieve an eternity of a still inazuma when youre letting fatui in and run things differently.
Sumeru, the prohibition of knowledge, inhibiting free will with the akasha picking for you what you can and cant learn.

Given that there are six sins I'm wondering if the sins might correspond to the "types of wisdom" upon which the Darshans are based? Although I'm not sure how some would correspond. Maybe something along the lines of:
Amurta (Biology) = To tamper with Life and Death?
Rtawahist (Illuminationism) = To divulge secrets without a hint of fear?
Spantamad (Elementalism) = To delve beyond the universe.
Haravatat (Semionics) = To investigate the origin of words.
Vahumana (Aetiology) = To revere gods without acts of devotion?
Kshahrewar (Technology) = To interfere with human evolution.
Haravatat is actually the reason I started thinking about this in this way and I'm expecting to get more info with Alhaitham's story. Spantamad deals with the structure of the world and so looking beyond Teyvat could be the link here. And lastly Kshahrewar I feel confident in due to the whole Dottore situation; machines, bionics, the talk of evolution. The others I'm less confident about.

It's also weird that the guy's lab is literally where Scaramouche's boss arena is, when the Akademiya tried the same thing by creating some kind of Machine god, given Scaramouche being a puppet, therefore machine-like.

I always interpreted the connection of Six Darshans and Six Cardinal Sins as Canonical Emphasis: the schools of study being established with Divine Warnings and the exact number being a reflection of the six schools consistently studied in Sumeru (other schools becoming defunct or getting folded within each other over time). Bu'er likely gave [divine warnings] to each of her initial sages and, as time went on, the innate connection between warning and study was neglected (but not forgotten, as evidenced by Alhaitham).

Since this video talked about the firmament I'd like to talk about Hoyoverse's multiversal structure.
The multiverse is made up of 2 parts, a tree like structure that contains all universes, the Imaginary Tree and a sea like structure made up of information from dead universes, Sea of Quanta. The Tree is growing towards the Sea with the canopy sinking into the Sea, the direction of the tree's growth is the direction of time. All universes grow and inevitably gets submerged into the sea and die.
Imaginary Tree is the beginning, the Sea of Quanta is the end. The Imaginary Tree is order, the Sea of Quanta is disorder, the interaction between the Tree and the Sea is Houkai(Collapse), just like entropy in our universe, things will always go from order to disorder. All possibilities begin in the Tree, in an orderly state and over time collapses(Houkai) and becomes disorderly, ending in the Sea.
What's interesting is that if universes are too "weak", they will fall off the Tree like a fallen leaf, and "drop" faster into the Sea as a bubble lost in the infinite foam. In Honkai we explored many bubble universes, they can be of all sizes, from planets, continents like Teyvat to rooms like Domains. Teyvat and it's domains are extremely similar to bubble universes and they are all linked to Irminsul, which is either the Imaginary Tree itself or a branch of it.
In Honkai Bubble universes, there's usually a "fake sky", which is a final "snapshot" of the sky before a bubble universe fell off the Imaginary Tree and became a free floating bubble, it's just a matter of time before the universe is dissolved in the Sea of Quanta. However if inhabitants of the universe has advanced enough in technology, they might be able to observe the anomaly of the sky and the universe, and with enough knowledge, effort and willpower, they might reattach the universe back to the Tree.
This is the natural selection of the universes maybe one day a universe might be able to overcome even the Sea of Quanta.

    • @Bronze_Age_Sea_Person
      @Bronze_Age_Sea_Person Год назад +22

Considering your theory, Teuvat might be this free floating bubble, or a string of bubbles, like an arc in this sea, and Celestia's goal might be to either reattach to the imaginary tree or make a clone. The abyss, forbidden knowledge or the thing we saw in Perilous tail might be related to the sea of quanta and honkai.
Also, for some weird reason, the Nails from celestia, could they be some form of technique similar which we do on tree branches, where we want to stop a certain branch to grow so others get more resources, but done on Irminsul to contain forbidden knowledge? Also, why the sustainer of heavenly principles look so much like the Herrsher of Void?
BTW, I've heard some mentions of a possible connections with the Flamechasers and Griseo, can you elaborate on that? I don't Play HI so I know only some small trivia from third parties.

    • @GuyWithAnAmazingHat
      @GuyWithAnAmazingHat Год назад +20

@@Bronze_Age_Sea_Person There's a popular theory that the Forbidden Knowledge is the Sea of Quanta and it does seem like it, a dark substance that breaks down everything, "knowledge", "information" that is from outside the universe that is unknowable.
The interaction between Irminsul and Forbidden Knowledge is very similar to the Imaginary Tree and the Sea of Quanta, the Tree holds organised information, universes and the Forbidden Knowledge breaks down information.
All of the Archons are based on Herrschers or characters who hold powers from the Herrschers, which shows that Genshin and Honkai are related through the countless possibilities of the Hoyo multiverse. In fact in chapter 17 of Honkai's main story, Dvalin was directly observed in a bubble universe when a character peered into the Imaginary Tree, this event happened right before Genshin's official release over 2 years ago and was also talked about in a video by devs. Also Fischl and Andrius are permanent character and boss in Honkai.
The Griseo theory is extremely far fetched but basically Griseo was sent to space to survive the end of the previous era 50000 years ago and is heavily hinted to be still alive.
Griseo's powers is reality manipulation, she can paint anything into anything else,
there was an spinoff story event where Griseo saves the world by painting the world and fixing everything.
People are theorising that if Griseo painted for 50000 years, she might be able to create Teyvat, she might be the literal creator of Genshin, this is very far fetched though and shouldn't be taken seriously.

@@GuyWithAnAmazingHat adding onto the griseo theory, albedo has been shown to be able to paint creatures into being and create life from nothing
I wonder how that ties into the lore of genshin and I wonder if those powers are passed on somehow? I actually doubt griseo made the entirety of genshin, if the theory was true, because coming from such a sad past I find it hard to believe she would create a world that's been run over by the abyss and forbidden knowledge... though interestingly maybe she was involved with envisioning the beginning of the world and everything naturally progressed from there with celestia invading? esp from that painting event, where she saved the world, fighting with the colourful enemies there reminded me a bit about vishaps (enkanomiya)

@@dragonkyuu Taking into account the recent Honkai chapters in the final arc, its apparent that the Traveller's role in Teyvat is the equivalent of the main Honkai trio (Kiana, Mei, Bronya), Fire Moths, and Elysia. The traveller's ability to use the weaker version of the Archon's skills depending on the element is similar to the Key of Blankness. Them serving as the witness/record of the World is akin to Project Ember; to preserve true/forgotten knowledge from the previous era. That comes in effect in Scaramouche interlude quest, as the Traveller's remembering the truth allows Nahida to restore the backup memories encrypted through a Fairy Tale.

I might be totally off track here but I think the cardinal sin of investigating the origin of words might have a connection to a forgotten civilization. Because one of the marks of "civilization" itself is a structured language that can be used to communicate to one another. The language of Teyvat and in each nation (I'm not even sure if they speak one language or different language in each nation) had to come from somewhere, and if there's one constant when it comes to language is that there's always a root and that it evolved overtime. By trying to find the root/origin of words meant to find the historical record of the creation of the word itself, and we all know some history in the world of Teyvat is pretty much banned and cursed...
But then again I might be wrong lmao

    • @betholiver4742
      @betholiver4742 Год назад

I will say this. As someone who does a lot of poetry and creative writing, the origin of words is very vague at best. Even I don't fully understand the origins of the words I use. But also as a bookworm, there's a concept around words and names especially that I've read in series like the Inheritance cycle, the Elfquest comics, Rick Riordan's Kane Chronicles, et cetera. Everyone in those series has a "true name" that literally either describes them as a person completely, gives a bond far stronger than blood or gives complete dominion over that person. My point is that names have power over people. Like in the Inheritance Cycle and Kane Chronicles, true names can and have been used to command the person with said true name, without resorting to force. In Elfquest, Cutter and Starwise know each other's soul names and are so connected, to the point of being able to call one another with that name. So I think that's what the Sages mean by not delving into the origin of words.

    • @waawaa7788
      @waawaa7788 Год назад

@@betholiver4742 True, but I'm mainly talking this through the linguistic lens, which is one of the darshan in the Akademiya as well. Almost all words (by extension, language) have a history on it, some even created due to a particular event in history. Yes, the actual written history is vague, but we can trace back as far as the first original form of a word in modern time, then we can study the particular culture that surrounds the language itself.

I believe there is another sin we dont hear or know about because it is lost to time or maybe the archon keep it to themselves. Plus everything in this world surrounding laws are normally 7. The 7 nations, 7 archon with 7 gnosis and obviously 7 elements.
And everything about Khaenri'ah revolves around 8, like the constant 8 pointed stars and if abyssal power is a element

In that case you should count 9 as light power is also separate substance from all other ones(the one Lumine and Aether possesses). And just binding to one number as if it "must" be the rule... Already wrong on 3 moon sisters, 4 "shades" or whatever, 6 pygmies, etc.
Those are merely 6 *human's* rules of Sumeru's Academia, they are not world-wide. I can say that breaking the contract is cardinal sin in Li Yue, and judjing by Morax reaction when he was deceived on a contract made with him it could've result even in death sentence was it near-archon-war times. And Ei literally killed people even on relatively present times because of sin of threatening the eternity.

How you phrase it in the title is "The Six Deadly Sins." However, I feel these are the equivalent of the "Seven Deadly Sins" of our world. If they are, indeed, related, then I honestly think that sometime in the future, we're going to be the witnesses to the currently non-existent seventh sin be put into place.
Actually, what you say about names is interesting. You mentioned "Before Sun and Moon," which was found in Enkanomiya, so let's take a moment to mention something about a very ancient part of Greek mythology. In the mythology, there were some gods who were well known but you were told that you shouldn't come out and say their name. Why? Because you could draw their attention. We see this often in the game. Characters mention Istaroth, but the game has to put her name in small letters above what they call her so we know who they're talking about. You don't mention their name because you're afraid of them. The Sustainer of Heavenly Principles might even have a different name but the gods call her by her title or just "the Heavenly Principles" because saying her name would be drawing her attention and making her pay attention to them. In Greek mythology, like in the older versions before the one we know today, Persephone was a feared goddess of the underworld and in her cult, they wouldn't speak her name outside of it. In slightly later versions, she went by a different name, Kore, which is literally Greek for "girl," which, as noted, is a type of title you'd say if you didn't want to get their attention. If she paid attention to you, she might go, "" Saying Istaroth's name backwards was a good way to get her to not notice you. Now, what bad can Istaroth do? I don't know considering the fact that she hasn't done anything bad in what we've heard about her.

My guess with the search for the origins of words bring prohibited is that this search would eventually lead to the knowledge that Celestia isn't from this world, that there was a Primordial god, also not from this world, who brought humans with them into Genshin's world. From there, my theory branches into 2 possibilities:
1st: Language in Teyvat was introduced by the Primordial One, who taught humans how to speak, read and write, with whoever rules Celestia not wanting humans to know about the Primordial One's existence.
2nd: By learning that humans don't originate from Teyvat, the search for the origin of words would lead to searching for the universe from which the Primordial One brought humans from, which also encompasses that universe travelling sin, and Celestia doesn't want ppl to know the universes outside of the Genshin one.
Both of these branches would have the same result: severe punishment from Celestia and/or the Guardian of Heavenly Principles, which would explain why the Akademiya advises against these actions by labelling them as "Cardinal Sins"
As for how the Akademiya would know these cardinal sins would lead to severe punishment, my guess would be that they saw the ppl of Khaenrih'ah doing it, and we all know how well that went for them, so the sages advised against that stuff
(I based all this stuff from what I know of Genshin's lore, probably mostly from the book of Sun and Moon, idk lol)

Origin of words: As a sci-fi nerd, the first thing I come up with after hearing that term is that many fictional universes re-use real-world languages (English, Japanese) without importing the entire family tree of languages and cultural elements into the fictional universe. For example, using the word “platonic” in a world without Plato. However, I believe there are reasonable headcanon explanations for the “origins of words” in Teyvat, Star Wars galaxy and Ace Combat’s alternate Earth.

For the origin of words, I think there might be a correlation of that and the fact that there is only 1 language spoken by in Teyvat. I mean... having 1 language spoken by all humans is pretty suspect, I mean that's just not how human evolution works. The only other language by humans that I can recall humans using is the Ishine Script, used by priestly families in Tsurumi Island, but I'm not sure if that would quantify as a language, since it was only used to name people, places, and other things on the island, so it's more like a name dictionary for that island specifically. I wonder if possibly, in the past, humans used to have various languages around the world and they found out too much that Celestia didn't want them to know, so they somehow completely wiped out all the languages and gave humans a single new one that didn't contain any words that Celestia didn't want them knowing. Or, the current language Teyvat has today was a language gifted by the Primordial One, or some other powerful being before the Descenders came, and in discovering the origin of words, once you go back far enough then you will get closer and closer to that "origin", the previous power before the Descenders that you aren't supposed to know about. You could possibly run into all this other vocabulary that is forbidden and you would have to be punished for it, so that's why the Sages forbidded(is that a real word? Maybe I should check the origin of words) it. I'm curious as to how the Sages would know to make this one of the Six Deadly Sins though

I think all of these six things are sins because they could lead to people learning the truth of the world, which Celestia doesn't want to happen, even if that's not exactly why they were put in place by the sages. I would think enhancing humans IS human evolution, though. So I would disagree that Dottore fits there. The second, though, is a bit more fitting, as Kusanali (not that her opinion really matters tbh) called his Segments ‘An insult to the very concept of life.’
Divulging secrets I suppose could also apply, though the only reason Dottore does so is to get the Gnosis and Kusanali is herself conspiratorial in it, as she gave in to her curiosity (although she isn’t a human, it’s still funny, because Archons too have their place, and she has yet to learn hers.)
Archons are also not our friends. They may seem cute in Genshin, and some like Zhongli are truly worthy of reverence (not Kusanali tho, she’s done literally nothing - Rhukkadevata was the one who did all those great feats, so tbh the Akademiya were right to disdain her ngl), but they are Archons for a reason, and even Dottore noted that Khaen’riah’s technology far outmatches that of places where the Archons’ gaze falls. Khaen’riah may have gone too far, as did Deshret, but it still remains that these are two polarities that led to stagnation and arrogation respectively.
This is why Venti, Zhongli, and Ei (sort of) are wise enough to step down and indeed allow human evolution to take place and humans to have their proper place.
We see the nobility of Dottore’s goals in Dhar al Shifa, though the execution is primitive and therefore quite brutal (clinical trials tend to be tho), he was working towards developing a cure for Eleazar. Where the other doctors just relegated themselves to basically being nurses for end-of-life care, Dottore was the only one who did, well, anything to try and reverse-engineer a cure in the form of what could be compared to a vaccine. And he succeeded, both in Abbas and Collei’s case, the Eleazar that should have killed them both was mitigated, in Collei’s case so elegantly that even Tighnari is forced to respect Dottore for it.
So, I disagree, Aster - Dottore IS human evolution. There is nothing that says humans shouldn’t use technology to evolve, I believe this sin applies more to the Akademiya for example making any research on or even interest in Khaen’riah taboo. THAT is preventing human evolution, as their technology and alchemy, if used correctly, would be a boon.
This is why the Archons ARE the ones holding humanity back. Even if the gods were once benevolent to humans, that is not a static truth, as indeed the world changes and so too do the gods. They saw humans as basically pets, not unlike Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden to Yahweh. But knowledge is not a sin, it’s our very birthright, particularly gnosis, or divine knowledge.
This is why your condemnation of Dottore on that front is flawed and wrong. And though your condemnation of the Akademiya for not sufficiently revering Kusanali is not without merit (even for someone as odious as her, imprisonment is a little too far, which is more mercy and benevolence than she ever showed Dottore, sadly), I ask this: what had Kusanali done to be revered, precisely? Nothing. And she had no wisdom, then - the Akademiya did not immediately shun her, but put her through rigorous tests to see if any trace of their god was left in her, and her performance was not any different than an ordinary mortal child’s. At that point, she showed neither knowledge nor wisdom, and tbh she still doesn’t have much to offer on that front, though I will say this fact despite my personal distaste for her: they should have helped her grow rather than imprison her, which is where they did act wrong, and caused much suffering by it. But they were not ‘lunatic sages,’ they were mourning the death of their Archon and seeking guidance - guidance Kusanali was unable to give at that time, weak in both power and void of Rhukkadevata’s wisdom, she was a true ‘tabula rasa.’ However, I also ask what gives her or any other Archon the right to rule over humanity? You take it for granted that the Archons should do so, without giving even a thought as to *why* or what gives them that right. This is why, I believe, the Fatui’s goals (The Tsaritsa, this time, not Dottore as I have discussed him sufficiently for now) of opposing the gods are indeed noble and pure.
The gods are not perfect, they hide truths of their invasion in ‘Before Sun and Moon,’ and are willing to kill to hide their secrets, even kill an innocent as was the case with Orobaxi.
No matter their so-called “goodwill” before, they have extended that on the condition humans remain servile to them, as we see in Nahida’s own folly - after learning the truth of this world, she doesn’t immediately remove herself and give Al-Haitham, Cyno, or someone equally competent a post like that of Varka in Mond and Ningguang in Liyue. Or even the tri-commission in Inazuma/the Shogun/Yae in the Narukami Shrine, since Ei technically did step down to inhabit the plane of Euthymia, even if ‘she’ remains as basically a kagemusha in the Shogun, the Shogun puppet is not an Archon (as we can see, even, in Scaramouche not being a god despite being Ei’s creation/‘son.’)
Nahida is the only one, in her inexperience, to basically immediately declare herself dictator of Sumeru, which is a great act of arrogance and foolishness on her part. But that’s just it - every Archon has an Achilles heel and a flaw related to their principle. Venti in his freedom leading to slavery, Zhongli in Liyue becoming vulnerable under his singular rule as he had to face the fact he is eroding/he was the biggest threat to its continued prosperity so he quite wisely removed himself from power, and Ei in her ‘eternity’ as it previously existed being stagnation and death (if you TRULY want to speak about tampering with human evolution, it is all those like Kujou Sara who were so loyal to Ei they were willing to tamper with the evolution of Inazuma’s people, as much as it pains me to say, because I love Sara.)
Kusanali, then, also has a complex relationship to wisdom and she is not this perfect little child the fandom likes to believe she is. She, too, has failed her people and then wonders why they have no reverence for her at all. She has done nothing to earn that reverence as Kusanali, and she merely usurped the achievements of Rhukkadevata, which is why that whole thing is just….. weird tbh. I get what they were trying to do in showing the Dendro Archon was able to transcend death in basically creating a segment of herself (which is why Kusanali saying Dottore doing the same is an insult to life is so utterly. . . ironic.) But the fact remains in untainted history that Kusanali never did anything to help anyone in Sumeru beyond keeping some girl with Eleazar company and technically protecting Aaru Village from its sandstorms ***once.*** Compared to what other Archons have done, that’s honestly nothing lol. She claims to care so much about the people of Sumeru, but where was she (not Rhukkadevata) when they were suffering from Eleazar? Hell, where was she when Dottore was clearly unjustly cast out from the Akademiya, sentenced to exile and even death by his hometown (who chased him away with pitchforks and clubs literally just for being right, and for committing ‘wrongthink.’)
Dottore and people like him are indeed asking the right questions. The firmament is what one **must** pierce to obtain Gnosis, and Teyvat is like the matrix (not unlike our world.)
Of course, they would condemn anyone who has uncovered this lie, and anyone who has discovered methods to elevate humanity rather than have it depend entirely on the whims of a god like Kusanali, who can clearly fail at any moment, can erode as Zhongli, or can even act against their best interest like Ei.
If you think controlling through fear is a good thing, Aster, then you must be a great fan of dictatorial regimes. That’s all I can say, because that is what Kusanali basically became to Sumeru: she went from being its prisoner to being its dictator, and no matter how “cute” you may find her design, she is the very enemy of wisdom, not its embodiment. Which, again, is what illustrates the shortcomings of Archons in relation to their principles. She was not fit to even guide herself - we had to literally spend the entire last portion of Sumeru’s archon quest hand-holding this pathetic “god” into having a Dr. Phil moment, and what does she immediately do? Seize power, she is even more mad than the scholars she condemns hah! Even after learning the truth of her existence from Dottore, and that essentially, her authority and so-called ‘divinity’ is a LIE, she doubles down and even goes so far as to establish a dictatorial regime, filling seats with yes-men who will never question her (Al-Haitham, Cyno) rather than surrender her power and allow people like them to have the power to guide the Akademiya.
And, of course, I am not defending what Azar and the other Sages did in trying to create a mechanical god, but with an archon as incompetent as Kusanali, I can’t exactly blame them for wishing to do so, either. As much as I hate them for turning to the very person they looked down upon and cast out, they were in grief over Rhukkadevata’s death.
Though it always astounds me how easily even theory-crafters can be emotionally manipulated hah! There is a larger picture to be seen here, though one that requires esoteric understanding, to be fair.
Dottore and people like him are dangerous to the established order of this demiurgic force because they ask the right questions. But they are the ones who will be proven correct, in the end, not the HP/Celestia, nor someone who by her own admission understands nothing of humanity yet arrogantly seeks to rule over it, like Kusanali.

As a student of Gnosticism/the occult sciences, I see it quite clearly, as Genshin clearly follows Gnostic belief (one of the many reasons I enjoy this game so much.) But any *true* seeker would know that the Demiurge rules the matrix (in this case, Teyvat) and that Archons are its ‘arms’ to basically enforce its will and keep humanity ENSLAVED.
Someone who, despite knowing the truth that she is literally in the way of this very human evolution, and does not step aside but instead doubles down on her enslavement of humans, can only be described as a tyrant. So, why should one revere such an entity? Where Azar and the others failed was in wishing to still have a god to guide them in this mechanical god, instead of well, allowing human evolution to actually take place and forgetting about Rhukkadevata - revering her acts, yes, but living in a world without her like the people of Liyue accepted the ‘death’ of Rex Lapis, and created an order centred around human wisdom instead.

@@fatuusdottore so much for a "student of gnosticism/occult sciences" to be speaking all high and mighty.
      1) kusanali is rukkhadevata, but even so, minimizing what she's done in the archon quest is stupid. also - what exactly makes her a dictator? the fact she started to fix a mess that sages made by.... actually just making them study for the rest of their lives, instead of a jail, which is something THEY did to her, and actually doing good by her people, which is something she's done even before she got out of baby jail, and not interfering into akademiya choosing their next sages (which is something she could've done, as a "dictator")? a dictator has a specific meaning - negative one at that. in her case - its more of a ligher grey than black, even if its by certain methods she has been using. Another question - what makes her incompetent, exactly? She, actually, out of 4 archons we've seen so far, is one of the only ones (the other one being zhongli, to a certain degree, because his whole circus with the fatui is just.... no, tho the intentions were "good" and the plan "b" was also set) to take shit seriously, weight all the possibilities and make choices that benefit ALL of the sumeru (even tho she couldnt act much for the longest time because of the sages), even in the deal with dottore and the whole thing with wanderer, while still caring about her friends and getting information for them as well (tho i would have preferred she didnt do the deal with dottore - but considering she's god of wisdom, she more that anyone knows how to use knowledge she's acquired and i'm glad she didnt have to be hurt like venti was). And another one - why are you blaming what is essentially a person who used all their might and memories to save their people (because if you didnt catch it yet - kusanali's/rukkhadevata's powers work the same as they work for aranara), and who reverted into a childlike state, for the impatience and the greed for power and knowledge that sages had? its not HER who failed the sumeru - she SAVED IT, multiple times! Sages are the ones who have failed everyone because of them wanting knowledge without having proper amount of WISDOM for it. Also reverence afaik is different from fear, and thats what people of sumeru felt towards rukkhadevata and now kusanali.
      2) oh, boy, do i love people who make excuses for terrible people! no, dottore is not some kind of saviour incarnate, there is a reason irl the experiments on people are limited legally - and he, alongside with sages, is a prime example of why is that. Because its almost never done for the betterment of humanity (even tho irl it accidentally leads to that sometimes - the starting point is more often than not is not done out of goodwill), but for fulfillment of someone's selfish desires by sacrificing other people and using them as tools (see alhaitham's quest). This is why "interfering into human evolution" is a sin - not even because of the archons (tho dont get me wrong - there might be some truth in some of the archons limiting humanity to some degree, most likely out of fear that heavenly principles might do something like what happened in khaenri'ah), but because people of old seen what this shit leads to, even tho the details are long forgotten now. And Collei was getting worse even after whatever experimentations were done on her, so while her being slightly "better" than other eleazar victims makes him a darker grey, even that point still fails in painting him anything but a person who accidentally did tiny bit of good in the name of his own selfish desires in becoming equal to gods.
in other news - teyvat is not black and white. Its all of different shades of grey - some darker, some lighter. But in you trying to paint archons as purely bad and humans as (almost) purely good you, imo, painted yourself as somebody who only looks on the surface level and has mighty bias towards humanity being all-high-and-mighty. And this comes from somebody who's an atheist.

    Something weird about Baizhu's case
I'm not sure but i think he has attended the Akademiya right?
Either way he persues eternal life which is forbidden by the Akademiya, yet he recieved a Dendro Vision (it has a Liyue design so probably before or after his Akademiya days)
As we know that each Vision weilder shows some aspect of the Value or Ideal corresponding to the element's Archon
So recieving a vision of Dendro which relates to Knowledge and Wisdom for persuing eternal life (a topics that has high potential to be part of Celestia Taboo Forbidden Knowledge series) is really SUS. So is it truly wrong/bad/Evil to research in Eternal life?
