I left my Auger under a tree for 1 year and when I wanted to use it the sun ate the gas tank up. I am watching every video you have on water well digging as my interest went to 500% now. I am currently testing soils to see what I can use to seal a pond floor and most have poor clay content. A water well would be needed to keep level up and would run on solar power as well.

Yes. I like that idea of solar water well. There are kits on EBay that are cheap and will fix that auger right up.

Neat unit. But here's an idea how about splitting the very bottom of your guide channel so you can install the auger motor with the deric standing stright up and open and close the void for the guide rollers with a welding channel lock plyers or a bolt that lets one side slide open. That way you don't have to climb a ladder to install it. It could always be an opening with the rest intact your not going to always lower the auger motor that low. Just an idea. Id hate to go up a ladder with it and thats one less tool you have to deal with. That auger motor cant be lightweight it weights about 75 lbs.
With all that iron on it.

Yes you are right! You know when you get something working and you can’t wait to use it? And you know it needs small things to make it better? Lol, the plan was to only use it once. I mean how many well does one need? I will certainly look into working on that mod before the next well. Cause you know I have to drill another. Lol. Thanks for watching.

Do you live on a golf coarse? I bet the members love you...lol....Great videos plan on trying here in Texas, but have one question...how are rocks handled in the system as the soil here is littered with rock. Thanks for the great vids!

Thank you! I live on my private golf coarse here in Texas. As far as the rock go I’ve had no troubles. It’s mostly iron ore rocks at first.

Where are you located. I hear southern accent. Is the well performing good after 2 years. How many gallons per minute does it produce. What level did you finally drill to

    • @jasongrinnell1986

I from Texas. The well is doing good but still has a little bit of iron in it. Only got a foot or two into the good water when I had to clean my pits out and I got stuck. Measured depth was 202’ and was just starting to see the fine white sand I was looking for. Pumping 8 to 10 GPM non stop. It was just for fun for me to drill and plans to come cocked and loaded for bear on the next one. I’ll make a couple videos on it. Found some interesting bit options I want to try.

@@jasongrinnell1986 cool. I am north of Dallas and west of Bonham. I purchased a gas digger just to try and make my own well. We have a lot of lime stone and black land here. When I start my well next week, hopefully it will not be in too hot and way too much lime stone. I am going to need a lot of patience and hopefully I will prevail. I am going to try to drill my bore hole dry, because of how deep the water table might or might not bee. Thank you for some very interesting videos.

I think that depends on your state. Differt areas have different laws and some might make you pull a permit.
Id do one for lawn eagration only as we have shitty. I mean city water. But we pay for the water, tax on the water and fees, then we pay tax on sewage fees on sewage and sewage as per how much water we use. It comes out we pay for 3 gallons of water for every gallon we use.
And they dont mesure the sewage its based on water usage.
Its a bunch of crap. Anyway if I water my lawn its the same as if I flush a toilet.
If you ask me they should have to meter the sewage to change me for it.
Im just returning unused goods and some other crap.
