A thing on the red bull academy, all the talk is around tsunoda as a rookie for perhaps a toro Rosso seat, but juri vips has done so well since coming in for geleal in F2. Super underrated imo, also effectively a rookie.
If Gasly leaves to Renault definitely put Vips in there. It's a shame as it is that Red Bull haven't funded an F2 campaign for him. I honestly think Tsunoda will struggle with the technical side of F1 looking at the way he manages his tyres.

Schwartzman stands out the most. I think a lot of people would find it unfair if he gets put in an F1 car straight away but I think he is the man for the job.
It's inevitable that Schumacher Jr will become top dog. He's got the skills, as good as Leclerc, we don't know. But he's also got the name and he will be very protected because of that name. He's special because of that and whatever team he finds himself in, they will support him very well because like everyone else, we all loved Micheal and he lives on through Jr.
So far, mick and charles are not on the same trajectory. Charles absolutely murdered lower categories and after what he did to seb? Yeah. Good luck. This is another redbull seat number 2
I dont think mick has the talent to challenge charles, they both have the same age, but charles has more titles, wins, poles, podiums and experience in both in f1 and in lower formulas, charles absolutelly destroyed the lower formulas both in his first year, mick at the very best is an exceptional midfielder... Edit: i think mick fans will be disappointed when he gets the step up to be charles' teammate, theyre hyping him to be the next big thing, but its pretty clear that he's not, a "next big thing" wouldnt have such poor results in their first season both in f2 and in f3, also, winning a title in your second season when most of the field is in their first year is relatively easy, i dont hate mick, but i think the hype around him is bigger than his talent, he will get his arse handed to him if he goes to ferrari, both psychologically and on track, i think the only driver that has more pressure than mick at the moment is ocon, and i think their cases are extremely similar, since both were massively hyped up as "the next big thing" and then ocon became teammates with a monster name ricciardo, and said monster ate him alive this season, and next one also wont be easy for him. I also think that move in term will generate more hate for ferrari and leclerc, who already get alot of hate by the german media because one: charles beat sebastian. Second: ferrari fired him. I think this move can make or break ferrari at the end of 22...
@Jack yes, any driver that has to drive either the red bull or ferrari's second car, or perhaps even be teammates with alonso are in a world of trouble and dont even know it... Edit: i also made an analogy with ocon because ocon was being hyped up to be the driver that would win championships at mercedes and fight with charles, george and max, but when he actually had a tough teammate he got absolutely smashed, and i think this will happen with mick at ferrari if he gets to be charles' teammate...
To be completely honest, i think mick at his best can challenge Charles and think he can challenge for a title. He always take the first year to understand the car and feel the comfortable in the series then dominate the nest one. For example mick second year in f3 was a white wash whereas this year in a very tight field mick has taken the upper hand by over 40 points, i think he is good enough to challenge mick.
Ferrari did not learn from Red Bull and Mercedes. Renault/Alpine will face the same issue soon. The problem? Having more talents than you can possibly get seats for in F1. Both Red Bull and Mercedes have lowered the number of backed talents as result, even if that can cause issues like when Ricciardo left.
Why is that a problem? Learn from Red Bull hahaha they couldn't fill Toro Rosso so went back to Hartley, I'd rather have 6 drivers and 3 seats than 3 drivers and 4 seats...

Schwartzman is the one serious contender. He is in F2 what Max was at Toro Rosso, getting the best out of that car with no experience of it. He doesn't make too many mistakes and won't have a heavy weight like with Mick, or Arthur.
I mean, when you compare the 2 recent F2 champions who graduated to F1, Charles and George both had DOMINANT performances over the 2nd place. Both George and Charles had 7 wins throughout the season and Charles famously got 8 poles out of 11 stations. Meanwhile Mick has no pole positions this year, and only 2 victories so far. The F2 class of 2020 simply dwindles in comparison against the 3 drivets from the class of 2018 and Charles from 17.
Spot on about Vettel. People are quick to say car isn't build around him in 2020 but forget that car was totally build around seb in 2019 and Charles still managed to outperform him
People also forget the fact that Seb had 2 mechanical DNFs in Russia and US(Suspension failure) whereas Charles had 0 mechanical DNFs. Seb was forced to cover Charles against Hamilton in Spa and didn't receive the tow in Monza. Where he was only 1.5 tenth off, a tow gives you a 2.5-3 tenth advantage at Monza BTW. Plus, the fact that Binotto gave the No.1 driver position to Charles after mid-season meant that Seb would be on the losing end of strategies and car setup.

Mick and Nikita are already at Haas, even if Mick was to step up to Ferrari in the next couple of years, thats still only 1 seat more for any potential ferrari academy driver
I think it should be Mick to Alfa & Illot to Haas for F1 2021. I miss Jules Bianchi, what a team Ferrari could be. Jules & Charles. Ferrari should buy out Alfa to get their young drivers in F1 & get Kimi to either run the team or at least be massively involved. He knows what it takes to be an F1 success at Ferrari.
Schumacher will obviously get into a F1 seat and at some point Ferrari he’s quick but he also has the name I hate to say it but it’s a good advantage to have, to be the son of the best driver Ferrari has ever had in their car. With Haas being opened up with both seats and Steiner saying they are gonna have a closer relationship with Ferrari in that they may take up some academy drivers it looks like 2021 will have some fresh talent on the grid.
He can basically do what his uncle used to do. Couple of race wins, no.1 driver in midfield team. Not too bad imo. If he's able to drive in Ferrari in some point of his career, that's a bonus. At least we could really see a Schumacher in Ferrari comes true again.
@@ciaolecrack4968 there is nothing to frown about making it into F1 even if your results are poor. The only thing is that he's a Schumacher. I don't think he will be able to compete with Charles though. I doubt he will even make it onto a top team.

I feel like every feeder series driver tests to get into the FDA before testing to get into other big academy. Ferrari being the first team ever, most record breaking in different categories (along with Mercedes),the Schumacher era who 90s-2006 kids grew up with ,with all their connections with FIA and long history they have, probably will dominate for a few other years (or decades!) because of testing almost ALL the feeder drivers and choosing the best ones. Considering that the FDA is recently created (from 2009) and is so successful , if the car will be as too,we will see Ferrari rising again from 2022 and staying on the podium for the next few decades. Both speaking about the next generation and the generation after them who will grow up with them and hope to be in Ferrari too.
Great video! I really wouldn't be surprised if red bull try and poach one of them (maybe Schwartzman if he doesn't make it up this year) to put in Alphatauri for 2022 if Gasly goes elsewhere
Can't wait for the comments which say "Mick because his father is 7 time champion in F1", I gotta admit tho that he is a really good driver I'd say Shwartzman because I think, like you do, he has enormous potential and just the fact that it is his rookie season in F2 and he is so good makes it clear for me
Im intrested to see what happens to Dino Berganovic in the future. He is very consistant in F4 wich is good considering its his first season in single seaters. He has taken a couple podiums and a pole and generally scores well. Maybe he could snatch a win in the coming races.
Problem is that not only do they have the best arsenal of junior drivers right now but they have arguably the best driver lineup on the grid for 2021. Leclerc-Sainz could realistically be their lineup for years to come. They’re both still young and have both shown these last two years that they’re incredibly talented. The Ferrari juniors will have to do something pretty special to depose them from their seats
Leclerc is signed till 2024 and is already negotiating for beyond. There is no junior in their academy on par with his talent. Maybe sainz, but definitely not charles
Anyone else think sainz could be in a dangerous position within two or three years. By that, I mean the team will likely want to hold onto Charles (unless sainz really outshines him) and then they'll probably want schumacher in one of their cars. Carlos could find himself in a position like Russell right now. Thats one of my predictions
U made a good point aldas about supplying a power unit to another team in exchange a Ferrari driver gets a seat at that team. Now if Red Bull aren't able to buy out Honda facilities. They could do a deal with Ferrari. However a Ferrari driver gets a seat maybe at alpha tauri. And since Red bull have drained the driver academy. They could refurbish that academy with some of Ferrari drivers from their academy. Yes the Ferrari engine ain't good. But it has the potential to get better. Just like Honda did, bad engine but became good over time
this is why i wish new teams would join F1, gives more young guys or undervalued guys a chance to show their skill. not saying HRT, Caterham, etc. were good for the race they were slow as shit but with the budget cap hopefully more teams join and aren’t like those
This is the issue we are seeing in all sports: Better living through chemistry! The old guys are not leaving, and that's backing up the next generation. 2021 will have Fernando and Kimi (20 years in F1!), Lewis and Seb (14 years), Checo and Daniel, (10 years). And all are still capable of winning, skill wise. They are probably faster than their younger rivals. Just unfortunate timing for the young guns.
Really great & refreshing video :) My favourite is Mick 110% Team Schumacher here! But I also really do like both Callum & Robert! :) & Hopefully by 2022 all 3 will drive in F1 :)
I kind of disagree with the car not being built around Charles for 2019 simply because Ferrari made a huge change in aero concept, focusing more on low downforce (which is something Seb has shown to not do well with). The reason I say this is because people talk about Charles’ dominance in lower Formula coming from his ability to manage a car with a loose rear end, which is exactly what the 2019 car was like. I realize this is a bit conspicuous but given how political Ferrari is I could see them having given up on Seb after 2018 and opting to gear the team towards Charles.
i've had this question for a while but why is there so many clips of ferrari drivers/cars where that looks like the footage hasnt been colour graded at all. the red looks like orange and the footage is so flat. I see it on so many channels that talk about formula one. Can someone explain?
I for one feel like Mick should drive for Mercedes. Who knows when Sainz will leave Ferrari. Then there’s too much competition between Schumacher, Illot and Shwatzman. For success like his father or even near, he should go to Mercedes
@@Okxyd I never said he should go to Mercedes right away as a rookie. What I mean was that instead of Ferrari being the goal - seeing as he is from the FDA - it should be Mercedes
I think mick is more like a Prost type of driver who isn't the best qualifier but has great seasons through his consistency (like in f3 & this year f2). And in the end I do think this is the only way to beat Charles in a Ferrari in the next couple of years.
Thats a massive cap. At similar points, leclerc has clearly been the better driver and unlike in lower categories, qualifying is immensely important in F1. I dont see mick beating charles at all and considering charles is looking at max as a rival, he would be striving to improve even more ridiculously
Honestly I feel like Mick Shumacher won't be judged too critically in his first season because he has developed a bit of a reputation for taking a year to get used to whatever new series he joins. That being said he could absolutely smash it and this comment is pointless.
It's pretty easy to see that at least by the point in his career in which Mick is now, Charles was much faster.. And of course right now if we compare them he is faster. He won F2 in his first year, he did exceptionally well in a team that was probably the slowest in the grid in 2018, in 2019 he beat 4 time WDC Sebastian Vettel when Vettel was still Ferrari's clear number 1 and won 2 great races, with 7 poles.. (probably could've won at least 2 more races if it wasn't for the team) and of course in 2020 he is carrying the team with almost 80% of the points they've scored being his own. But, Mick is a marketing goldmine. He is Schumacher's son and that carries a lot of weight in F1. Obviously he's fast, though not in a Verstappen, Leclerc kind of level, but he could make a great number 2 to Leclerc if he knows his place..
A lot of recognisable name power in this academy which may open doors like it did for Mick. And there is no bigger name than schumacher so the pressure is extra on the legacy of relatives.
Schwartzman should stay in formula 2 another year. Hes good clearly but its better safe than sorry to give him another year to develop. Look to him for the long term but for now take the chance on schumacher and illot. One could take the open seat at haas and the other could take giovanazzis seat at alfa and take a year to learn from the Raikkonen. Since you touched on red bull in this video too id like to point out at least (in my opinion) they operate alot like the toyota development academy in NASCAR. They sign up these seemingly good guys, pour money into developing them. And then either kicking them to the curb too early without giving them a chance to fully develop and reach their potential, or they just completely disregard them early on when they show the ever so slightest drop in performance

haha yea. when i was 16 i looked like a 30 year old. not necessarily a good thing
He is a very young looking 16, he for sure could pass off as 10-12, wonder how thats gonna go if he ever gets pulled over in a car. "Have you stolen the keys from your parents?"
He needs a booster seat in his car
@TradingKid1998 what does that have to do with my comment?
Superb Narration & Great Content with equally good music. Hats off!
Imo I think mick has been so consistent getting podiums and wins in such a competitive field. He is easily the best
Schumi Schumi Schumi!
One day another M Schumacher in Ferrari I’m gonna cry when that happens. Mick Schumacher is doing the Family name very proud. If Michael could be present he’d guide his boy in the right direction and coach him as much as he can. Keep Fighting Michael.
True say hopefully we’ll see Michael one day
Schwartzman stands out the most.
Mick? Golden generation?
wow.. this video has aged sooooo bad...
I can see Mick being good enough for a 2nd driver position in Ferrari which is what they really need, they don’t want two number 1 drivers.
So is Ilott also the same as Mick or worse?
@@motorsportsworld5089 illot and mick are basically the same level, charles max george and lewis are just a step above everyone else...
Ferrari did not learn from Red Bull and Mercedes. Renault/Alpine will face the same issue soon. The problem? Having more talents than you can possibly get seats for in F1.
Both Red Bull and Mercedes have lowered the number of backed talents as result, even if that can cause issues like when Ricciardo left.
at this point Mercedes are just being annoying, just get Russell in the team
Why is that a problem? Learn from Red Bull hahaha they couldn't fill Toro Rosso so went back to Hartley, I'd rather have 6 drivers and 3 seats than 3 drivers and 4 seats...
@@grassfret do you really prefer 3 drivers who deserve to drive F1 not getting a seat?
@@theshadow4737 of course, the point of the FDA is to supply the next Ferrari driver, Red Bull can't fill their main team let alone Alpha, Ferrari don't need to learn from Red Bull 🙄

nice pfp mate
Vettel was in BMW young driver program, not in RB
Micro Schumi prediction didn't go well
I think you should use different backing music for each video, creates variety, but great content!
I do actually, I try to mix it up for different videos depending on what the mood and topic of the videos are
Schwartzman is the one serious contender.
Hoping Mick goes to F1 and does well there, would be amazing to have the little Schumi on track
@@skratta3608 hahahahaha what a joke. Charles was unlucky in bahrain(engine), and russia due to safety car, He got knocked out of Q2 in Monaco due to Ferrari stupidity. He deserved to win in singapore but vettel was gifted the win, even binotto said that. Vettel crashed into Charles in Brazil. These are just some incidents from top of my head. The thing is, they are "raising" All of those drivers. Where are they gonna drive. Sauber? Kimi still wants to go on and Giovinnazi isnt looking to back down either. Haas? Mick and Nikita are already at Haas, even if Mick was to step up to Ferrari in the next couple of years, thats still only 1 seat more for any potential ferrari academy driver
Was there a sponsorship from daddy stroll between 7.38 and 7.50?😂😂😂😂
I think it should be Mick to Alfa & Illot to Haas for F1 2021.
I miss Jules Bianchi, what a team Ferrari could be. Jules & Charles.
Ferrari should buy out Alfa to get their young drivers in F1 & get Kimi to either run the team or at least be massively involved. He knows what it takes to be an F1 success at Ferrari.
U should definitely do a video looking at all young driver programmes
I have thought about this issue my self! They got the most successful driver academy from all the other teams!
Italian media reported today that Haas is signing Mick instead of Alfa Romeo.
We really need more teams in F1, but that’s probably not gonna happen any time soon…
Cool content, but I would consider grading the paddock footage...or even just throw a decent LUT on it
Isn't Giovinazzi also a Ferrari academy driver?
Imo idt Mick will turn into a race winner in F1.
Edit: I also completely agree with you about Schwartzman
He can basically do what his uncle used to do. Couple of race wins, no.1 driver in midfield team. Not too bad imo.
If he's able to drive in Ferrari in some point of his career, that's a bonus. At least we could really see a Schumacher in Ferrari comes true again.
@@ciaolecrack4968 there is nothing to frown about making it into F1 even if your results are poor. The only thing is that he's a Schumacher. I don't think he will be able to compete with Charles though. I doubt he will even make it onto a top team.
@@Slapsamillion If for the marketing and popularity reasons, I think Ferrari would really get him in the team as Charles' wingman as soon as in 2022 if they decide not to extend with Carlos.
As much as it might sounds bizarre, but I feel like they are gonna do it for the sake of it. I won't be surprised. That being said, Ferrari should put their focus on how to build a championship car for Charles.
@@ciaolecrack4968 2022 is probably the absolute earliest they will be able to contend because of the changes. Idt Sainz will be the guy long term...but would also ne really surprised if it was Mick. But I get your point. It would generate a ton of hype all year.
Why does everyone forgets about Felipe Massa as a great FDA driver from long ago?
Can't wait for the comments which say "Mick because his father is 7 time champion in F1", I gotta admit tho that he is a really good driver
I'd say Shwartzman because I think, like you do, he has enormous potential and just the fact that it is his rookie season in F2 and he is so good makes it clear for me
Im intrested to see what happens to Dino Berganovic in the future. He is very consistant in F4 wich is good considering its his first season in single seaters. He has taken a couple podiums and a pole and generally scores well. Maybe he could snatch a win in the coming races.
Aged very well
Why did you pronounce Leclerc differently between Charles and Arthur?
Last years car was not built around Seb, he experienced a lot of problems with it, as did Shaaaaaaaarl
Ohh boy this aged badly
We need videos about your analysis on Albon, kimi, Russell, Williams, and so many other drivers and teams! Please of course 🙏
Ilott is currently in his 4th season, not 2nd as said in the video
wdym? Ilott started racing in 2019. It's 2020. Driver lineup in 2017 did not have Ilott, neither did 2018.
Whats the background music, its sooo cool
I think Schumacher can be a Rosberg level driver, which would be very good indeed.
I think alesi would do good in GT in japan. But his dad won the F3000 championship with extreme dominance. Not dad's talent
that's why Ferrari is looking into another team either in IndyCar or WEC (where they can funnel drivers)
Really great & refreshing video :)
My favourite is Mick 110% Team Schumacher here!
But I also really do like both Callum & Robert! :)
& Hopefully by 2022 all 3 will drive in F1 :)
Because they are far, far away from that. They might be a bronze generation at best.
Ferrari should definetly buy Haas , they're stupid for even allowing Dimitri Mazepin think that he can buy the team .
Very nice aldas👌
Ferrari should put money to help promote prema to f1.
i've had this question for a while but why is there so many clips of ferrari drivers/cars where that looks like the footage hasnt been colour graded at all. the red looks like orange and the footage is so flat.
You're too funny, the kid didn't even make a season in F1 and he deserves the top seat in F1 because of his name?
@@Okxyd I never said he should go to Mercedes right away as a rookie. What I mean was that instead of Ferrari being the goal - seeing as he is from the FDA - it should be Mercedes
I think now would be a good time to have Illot and Perez for HAAS and have Schumacher and Kimi in Alfa
Dino Beganovic doesn't look 16, he looks about 11 and racing in karts still😂
I think mick is more like a Prost type of driver who isn't the best qualifier but has great seasons through his consistency (like in f3 & this year f2).
This is also a good chance since Haas doesn't have drivers at the moment
Can't have a slow 1st season, unless your name is albon
Well next year we see if Sainz can show ferrari up
Honestly I feel like Mick Shumacher won't be judged too critically in his first season because he has developed a bit of a reputation for taking a year to get used to whatever new series he joins. That being said he could absolutely smash it and this comment is pointless.

Imma laugh when Merc casually poach Mick from Ferrari in a few years.
Mick actually was offered seats in both Merc and Ferrari academies. He chose FDA.
