Watching your podcasts from the beginning and I was NOT expecting a SimplyNailogical reference 😂 I suppose I shouldn’t be shocked that there’s overlap between knitters and people who like fun nail polish.
Congratulations on your milestone, Vanissia! I really enjoy your podcasts and your enthusiasm for knitting. Your comments and Ravelry page on your beautiful knits are incredibly helpful. Thank you and continued success to you!
Your enthusiasm is is wonderful. I am so inspired by your projects. You give so much valuable information, any question I could think of asking, you answer. Your very thoughtful in choosing your projects and yarn to go with it. As for another yarn to hold together with the yarn you have, I would say if you like the yellow choose a paler shade of yellow, same for the green shade. I am so happy that your channel is doing so well, congratulations. You deserve it, you are doing a great job. Also congratulations on your test knit opportunities. Take care, and I look forward to seeing you next time.
I love the Sweater No. 23 on you-the fit is perfect, and it looks fabulous. I also love the yarn combo for your Lento. I actually love all your knits! Thank you for sharing so much info.
Oh thank you! I have been wearing it a lot since finishing it, it's taking up the number 1 spot. Can't wait to finish the lento and see how it looks on me !
So enjoyed your new video today: a delight to watch and video length is great, along with your information and pattern ideas together with wool chosen. Your enthusiasm is so infectious.
Subscriber from the US here! I’ve been looking forward to your new episodes! You’re a natural and the podcast is informative and interesting! Thank you!
I really enjoy your channel! I particularly like the fact you take your time with your wips and in the completed projects you estimate the cost. I also appreciate the use of less expensive yarns.
I think the split hem piece looks adorable on you! Much better even than the pattern photo. Congrats on your milestone. Looking forward to continuing to knit 'with' you.
Congratulations on the channel growth. I love the the idea of a pattern, that's a fun giveaway and so accessible. You make lovely knits with helpful videos. Thanks.
Great to have another knit podcaster living in Scotland. I'm in North East Scotland and love living and promoting Scotland. Be good to see you using some local Scottish yarn/dyers.
So happy I found your Podcast early and I have been able to watch them as they are happening! Love your choices of garments and yarns and your skillfull kniting. You have inspired me to knit some new garments. Thank you.
hallo! i think your lento is amazing with this combination of fibers because of the pattern is so simple that you can do it also with a particular fiber as you have done. i love sooo much ! this poadcast is illuminating for other knitters you give us new ideas. thank you
Hi Vanissia, congratulations on your milestone! I’m not surprised you’re growing so fast, you’re a pleasure to watch. You always have such a lot to share and I love seeing new to me patterns and yarns, makes me wish I could knit as fast as you!
Thank you so much! That comment brought a big smile to my face. And I've had a lot of free time lately hence the prolific knitting, however I can foresee a bit less knitting in the future ! Which is all fine of course :)
Firstly, I think you certainly look good with yellow/warm tones. Right away at the beginning of the episode I was thinking how much I enjoyed your orangey eye shadow and that it looked great with your hair and eyes. With that said, I think holding a mustardy color, or a warm light brown with that hand dyed yarn could look lovely. Otherwise I'd go with your gut with the olive green like you were already thinking about.
You've been very productive! Thanks for sharing more details on the different projects and especially cost of yarn as it does help when choosing patterns.
Your eclair pullover looks so lovely - the fluffy yarn choice, color, and balloon shape really makes it look like an eclair! Congrats on almost 2k subscribers!!!
Thanks so much Yiqi! I absolutely adore your podcast and we have very similar taste in projects, I've cast on a Lumme sweater recently aha. Looking forward to seeing more of your knits !!
@@thewoollyworker Aw that means a lot, thank you so much! Haha I just watched your podcast episode where you shared your Lumme sweater!! It looks beautiful! Really excited to see more of your knits too!! 🥰
I thought I would mention in case you didn't know, Helen from Giddy Yarns has podcast as well and is looking for sample knitters; and she lives in Scotland. Congratulations on your successes!
Lol, I found it hard to get test knit projects to. Guess we all need to have a podcast to get the test knits! 🙂🙃 keep up the knitting and podcasting. Very enjoyable!
Love your podcast! I can see why your milestone was hit so quickly. I think you could pair that fluffy yarn with a golden colour or even maybe a pale grey. I honestly think a very light whiteish colour would make it more pastel tone.
Loving your lento yarn combo. Also adore your accent!!! (Having studied in Scotland for 6 years I enjoy hearing how your Belgian accent is being woven through with a Scottish accent… cool).
I love your videos. I am an American descended from Walloon Belgians! There is a unique cluster of Belgian-Americans in Namur, Wisconsin and the surrounding area, northeast of Green Bay, Wisconsin. I have visited Liege, Namur, and Brussels, in Belgium, and it was beautiful!
I’ve yet to hold two yarns together in any pattern, but I’m looking forward to trying - podcasters like you encourage me to have a go. Love the yarns you’ve been buying. They look so beautiful - particularly once you’ve knitted them up 🥰
A very informative podcast with great information. I definitely think you should try more colourful garments, you'll surprise yourself how much you love them! X
I think Marzipan would be a great choice, it is just a tad darker but shouldn’t overwhelm the other colors Thanks for all of the great sweater pattern ideas !!
Beautiful FOs! And, I think the color you picked for your first test knit and the swatch looks great! I hope you find a yarn/color that you’ll enjoy for your second test knit. I remember seeing a video that explained that anyone can wear any color but to keep in mind if you’re undertone is a cool one or a warm one; plus I think most people pick colors that naturally look good on them. I’m looking forward to seeing what you make with the fluffy variegated yarn - I think the marzipan will bring out a lot of the colorful tones. 😊
That's so interesting about picking colours that suit us. I like that idea! And yeah I've been reading up more and more on undertones and feel I am either neutral, or cool, so I'm letting this guide me slightly. Thank you for the lovely comment :D
Congratulations on the 1k! I love all your videos. I am truly amazed how quickly you get your projects done. All finished projects you have shared so far are lovely. I look forward to your next video. 😃
So glad I found your channel, you are so positive and I love your detailed experiences on garments. I love the sweater and cardigan videos, I have added a few to my queue! Looking forward to watching more, thank you
You are a great and fast knitter. Love the new colors you choose. I also doing a lento, als doing two color ( one solid, the mohair, and one multicolor , a sock yarn). Congratulations on your big number of subscribers!
The Zakami yarns look dreamy. I'm sure it'll become a lovely Monday sweater. As well as white and marzipan, I thought you could try swatching it with a silver grey or a camel colour as a base.
Congratulations on your milestones! It’s so exciting that you’ve been chosen to do two test knits, and that you have over 1000 subscribers. I enjoy watching your videos. 🎉
Hi! Oh, I´m not too late, saw yournewest video yesterday, that´s about all sweaters ... and now I´m going back to look all the others. I just worked alpaca drops, but my guage didn´t change after wasing ... uh, I hope my sweater that I finished a few days ago will not grow bigger. Wonderful yarn and you live in the right place for knitting with wonderful yarn and creating thick sweaters. I´m looking forward to your next video! Have a great time!
Glad you like them! Thank you for leaving this kind comment. Hope your sweater turns out okay ! sometimes swatch behave a bit differently than the products .... grrr
Really delighted you have started podcasting as you are very relatable and your projects are gorgeous! I love how you share all your mods, your troubles with patterns or yarns, your likes and dislikes, it's very helpful. Thank you. xx
I made the Eclair. I didn’t split the body at the underarms but knit around 12-15cm down the body then split, so I don’t have the overlapped edges under the arm and I didn’t think the directions for that application were that clear. I wish I would have knit the sleeves longer but I thought it might grow which it didn’t. I haven’t knit a sweater in over 30 years and back then it was common to use flat construction, only Icelandic sweaters were knit in the round top down. I did not find the pattern difficult, it was the first time using short rows to shape neck. I used the recommended yarn in the light gray. It’s is very light and very warm. Overall I was very pleased with the results. So, I consider myself a beginner because everything is done differently than 30+ years ago but for me the underarms directions were a little tricky.
well done for tackling a sweater pattern and making modifications to it !! Must be difficult when things have changed so much in terms of patterns or instructions. Hope you like your eclair !
Omg I am so glad I found your channel watch them all. I love all the projects and the details you provide I find it very helpful without talking forever about one project. Congratulations on hitting this milestone.
Congratulations! It's so lovely to see how passionate you are about sharing your projects and knowledge. Today I watched while I swatched in the round for the first time with some hand dyed blue (!) from Coastal Colours for hopefully my first sweater (DRK Everyday).
My Lento is blocking right now. It took me two weeks to make. Mine is made with Drops Soft Tweed and an alpaca silk. The colour is caramel. I love how my sweater looks and fits me and I can't wait to wear it. Congratulations on 1K+!!!
I love your Lento too. I am joining in the KAL - I’m using two lace weight yarns (one a pale peach cashmere, one burnt orange British wool) and Drops kid silk mohair, also in a burnt orange. I have knitted a single thickness neckline, not double, and I am also going to knit a balloon sleeve. I’m really enjoying knitting it! Congratulations on 1k subscribers…very much deserved!
Ohhh that sounds so lovely. I really want to try working with cashmere ♥ That Lento sounds wonderful, do you have an instagram or a ravelry so I can see it when done? And thank you x
I’m new you knitting (been crocheting for forever) and just made my first sweater! I have enjoyed all the content you’ve put out so far and can’t wait to see more! 🎉
Congratulations on your first sweater ! I crochet too, but have been neglecting it for knitting, i just can't stop thinking of new garments. Happy knitting x
Really enjoying your videos, I love seeing how sweaters knit up, it helps me choose the ones I want to knit. Saying the price is a good idea but the sweater cost 9 balls you can't buy half a ball
Glad you like them! And yes, I am still debating it, because I do try and use the leftovers afterwards, so I make the most out of a skein. I will see what I end up doing!
Well done Vanissia! I am trawling through some DK stash, a palette cleanser after completing the Slipstravaganza shawl. I love Zakami yarns too. Kind wishes Lynn Albany Western Australia
It's my first ever comment on youtube :) keep going with your well thought through videos, you've got an infectious energy for knitting and I love knitting along with you. At the moment I knit a pair of slippers for myself with a felting wool, love this type of wool*
Hi again Vanissia, so lovely to see what you’ve been knitting on. Your new jumpers are stunning! My partner and I especially think the sweater you’re wearing is the most beautiful striking blue 😍. That’s so funny that you’re planning to start on Ozetta’s Field Day Cardigan, I was seriously considering starting it yesterday but decided on the Field Day Jacket first due the yarn I wanted to work with. Happy knitting! -Marissa
Hello Marissa ! Thank you for leaving a comment. Yes, it really is a beautiful shade ! Kind of muted/dusty blue, not too in your face. And we can work on our Field Day pieces together then ! I do think a Jacket would be a very nice knitted piece to have for outerwear. Hope you enjoy yours !
Not surprised you reached 1K subscribers already as your podcast is so lovely and informative. Just noticed you are now at 2K congratulations! I have joined the Let's Lento KAL as well as the Artic Light Sweater KAL by Kutovakika. Very different, so one to keep my mind busy and the other to chill out. Enjoy your knitting.
Really love your taste in patterns and colors. If your German short rows are showing, look up Japanese short rows on RUclips, I have much more luck with them and for me they are almost completely invisible
hihi! congratulations on the success of your podcast! you are adorable and the work you've put in to the videos certainly shows. i really appreciate the preparation you put in for us. its so great to have the price for each piece. if i could suggest that you round up to the next ball so for example if you used 8.25, you needed to buy that next ball, it would be good to know the total cost including that whole 9th ball. i mean, you had to buy it if only to use a bit of it. dont let any book or article tell you cant wear a color. you should wear any and all colors!!!! try anything you feel drawn to, anything you like will look great on you. thanks so much for the podcast!
thank you so much for the lovely comment ! Glad you enjoy it. And for the price, it's tricky, because I do plan on using my half ball skins for hats and stripey projects and want to put the price for those too. I will consider rounding up for simplicity, we'll see !
I was thinking about making the Terni Slipover with some alpaca yarn I have and seeing yours has sealed the deal :) I also caught your Simply Nailogical reference lol I love her. Very much looking forward to your next video!
Sounds great! Hope you like it, mine is flying off the needles, I just keep wanting to reach the next section. So glad you caught the reference aha! and thanks ♥
Hi Vanissia,, I've not watched your podcast before but really enjoyed all the information you include with what you're making. I immediately thought of Wee County Yarns Kinross 4ply to hold with your beautiful Zakami Suri in the colour porridge which was what Amy Palko used with her Lento and her Cowboyblues hand dyed mohair.
I'm so glad I stumbled across your channel. I love the pieces you've made/are making. They're so lovely, and I like how you're including prices, and that your using a lot of budget friendly yarns! Hope your swatching and colour selection goes well! Personally, I'd use a pale/pastel mint or pistachio with that mohair, but do whatever makes you happy!
Thank you so much! Glad you enjoyed the episode. I do try and switch things up with my yarn choices, and keep finding new ones that I like aha. And yeah a pale mint would look lovely and pastel, I'll need to find some to swatch with!

I have been considering a lento and seeing yours has convinced me. I have grey brushed alpaca and grey alpaca.
Ohhh yay, do it! The brushed alpaca feels amazing
I absolutely adore the rust and gray color combination you went with on one of the sweaters! Just lovely 😍 👌. Congrats on your test knits. How fun!!!

Really enjoying your podcast, and I particularly love your Lento colours you've definitely convinced me to cast one on myself :)
Go for it!
Congrats to your podcast! It's lovely to watch your knitting journey.
Thank you! 😊
Congratulations on reaching 2000+ subscribers, including me 😄😄😄 Love your content and the information you provide. Hello from 🇬🇧🌷🌷🌷
Thank you so much!
I am happy to find new knitting channels. I have been hesitating to open one sometime. Good luck with all your projects !
Thank you! That's a lovely compliment :D
Lovely to discover your podcast- so informative. I recognised your town, as I used to live there many years ago x
Oh wow! That's cool aha :D
Well done Vanissia!
I am trawling through some DK stash, a palette cleanser after completing the Slipstravaganza shawl.
I love Zakami yarns too.
Kind wishes
Lynn Albany Western Australia
Knitting with DK is very enjoyable ! Amazing that you have seen/used Zakami, I'm glad they're reaching worldwide :D
The balloon sleeve sweater is going to be stunning. I just finished an off white sweater, and don't find it boring at all, it's so romantic :)
Yes, I really like the way it feels and looks, just taking longer than I'd want, but so wearable!
I love watching your videos and can't wait to see your finished projects.
I'm so glad!
It's my first ever comment on youtube :) keep going with your well thought through videos, you've got an infectious energy for knitting and I love knitting along with you. At the moment I knit a pair of slippers for myself with a felting wool, love this type of wool*
Thank you so much!! That is an honour. And felting wool is such an interesting concept, would love to try this one day!
Thank you for another lovely podcast! Such inspirational knits!
Glad you like them!
hi, I enjoy watching and sharing your plans with us.
Glad you like them!
Hello from New Zealand 🇳🇿. Really enjoying watching these
Hello there! Thanks a lot!
Congratulations! I like your video’s so much! I’m from the Netherlands so your video’s are everywhere.. 😮
Oh wow! Thanks for watching then ♥
Congratulations! Thank you for your podcasts! I like them.
Glad you like them!
Congratulations on the milestone! You’re doing a great job and I’ve enjoyed watching your videos!
Thank you so much!
You are quickly becoming a favorite podcaster! I’m enjoying your videos and love hearing from young knitters like myself.
I'm so glad! I love watching podcasts as I knit
Thank you so much! And yeah always good to have a couple projects on the go for different moods. Happy knitting!
I love your colour mix for the Lento. I am inspired to try my own marl. Thank-you. Ruth, from Nova Scotia Canada.
Wonderful! Have fun with it Ruth :D
Really love your taste in patterns and colors. If your German short rows are showing, look up Japanese short rows on RUclips, I have much more luck with them and for me they are almost completely invisible
Thank you! Will do! I used them on the sycamore sweater and i quite liked it, so would be interesting to substitute them!
hihi! congratulations on the success of your podcast! you are adorable and the work you've put in to the videos certainly shows. i really appreciate the preparation you put in for us. its so great to have the price for each piece. if i could suggest that you round up to the next ball so for example if you used 8.25, you needed to buy that next ball, it would be good to know the total cost including that whole 9th ball. i mean, you had to buy it if only to use a bit of it. dont let any book or article tell you cant wear a color. you should wear any and all colors!!!! try anything you feel drawn to, anything you like will look great on you. thanks so much for the podcast!
thank you so much for the lovely comment ! Glad you enjoy it. And for the price, it's tricky, because I do plan on using my half ball skins for hats and stripey projects and want to put the price for those too. I will consider rounding up for simplicity, we'll see !
Love to hear from a fellow Belgian. You gave me the final push to order wool for a Lento! :)
Hope you enjoy the process! Hello to Belgium :D
Thank you! And yes that would be a great option !! Definitely keeping that in mind for future lentos
Great job launching your channel! I appreciate the detailed notes.
Glad it was helpful!
Thank you for your podcasts! I like your sweaters! I have made one Lento, but thinking of another one maybe with splitted hem.
Great idea! I think that could go well with the cropped length. Hard to choose all the custom options!
