Thank you for describing the construction of your makes in such detail! It really helps me understand which patterns I want to knit!
I'll echo what a lot of commentors say in just pick the yarn combo that you're most excited to work with. If you're not excited about it you won't be excited to work on it, and there will always be more yarn!

I especially enjoyed this episode, Vanissia. The sweater you are wearing is so pretty on you. On camera, you look like a spring to me and this sweater is quite flattering. I thought the Yell looked way too big and would not have known how to fix it as you seem to have. It is so incredibly beautiful. It seems like you are reluctant to use any of your stash for the Sari scarf. I feel that way sometimes. I'm all for using up stash but if I try too hard, I am usually disappointed. For me, I try to use each yarn for the "perfect" project", which may be why I have so much stash!!! Thanks for your podcast.

Your Yell cardigan project is so inspiring! I appreciate how collaborative you’ve made the problem solving process. So so glad you got your Yell Cardigan on the right track!! I love watching your podcast, I always learn so much. I thought the only way for you to go was frog. Love the online knitting community for always knowledge sharing. Also, the purple Cardiff for your Maggie is such a beautiful color on you. In regards to the rowing out, I feel you. I spent like a month trying to figure out how to correct my rowing out and came up blank. Using different needle sizes didn’t work out somehow. I think for me, 2 ply yarn exacerbates the issue, so going forward I won’t use that that yarn, hold it with a lace weight, or only knit it on smaller needles. Using bamboo needles (Seeknits) and following a random tutorial I found on RUclips (essentially how to change your knits and purls to be more consistent) made the biggest difference in my fixing my tension.
For the shawl color conundrum, I’m no help. I feel you on not wanting to use your favorite color combination without knowing the other patterns. Though I do think that suri and Alpaca 2 will look beautiful in the Poet motif. But for some reason, I’m really seeing the poet in some sort of sage or minty green on you. I agree the purple yarn you have would be better for cables and that the last yarn may be too variegated.

Hello it is nice to hear your issues with gauging that I am having, is great to have a different perspective. I have been doing exactly what you are doing going up and down a size depending on how my gauge is turning out once I blocked or get to a certain point or tried it on, lol! I have undone many projects because they end up too big or got too long specially in the under arms. so now I make it a bit snug to the under arm and once I block it is a snug/loose fit but not an oversize fit. I love to hear about what other people are doing with the struggle of gauge. I am a loose knitter and I always have to go down a few needle sizes. I wanted to start the Mayflower blouse with DK yarn but my gauge was so off and I went three needle size down but then I did not like the stiffness of the fabric I was making so I looked for an Aran weight pattern that meet my gauge in the prefer gauge/Fabric swatch/sample.
Thank you for sharing your struggles in gives me courage to just continue chugging along with my own struggles.

Hi, Vanissia! Another great video…! You’re certainly rising to the challenge with your Yell Cardigan. I’m impressed, and looking forward to seeing how it turns out. Regarding your “rowing out” issue, I would suggest that you knit some “sample” swatches with some old yarn in your stash and play around with how many needle sizes you need to go down on your purl side in order to eliminate the rowing out effect. That way, in future projects, you’ll know that you need to go down 2 needle sizes, or 3, etc. You might want to do this with different weights of yarns, too. (Keep the swatches and document how you knit them!). Finally, regarding your scarf project, my personal preference would be the multi -colored brown skein with the light brown lace yarn! Have fun with all of your knitting! P.S. Your summer top turned out fabulous!

Ooh, the second option for the Poet Scarf is my absolute favorite. It's so soft and romantic I think it goes perfectly with the lace motif. I totally get the caveat of "but what if I want to use the yarn for something else?", it happens to me all the time. But I say go for it! You could always get more yarn later that looks similar (-: Thank you for the great video! I really enjoy your attention to detail and the projects you choose.
