I'd NOT ask for a collection from THIS studio. If secondary studio filled with fans of the franchise, like what happened to the Tomb Raider remasters, made a remaster collection then I'd be ok with it.

Midway was the real Mortal Kombat. They need to remaster these games with online play.
A collection would be a day 1 purchase for me. Ive been waiting for so long. I still own my ps1 games - trilogy & 4 and the ps2 era games but i cbf bringing out the ps2 to play half the time.

NRS and especially WB are afraid that the collection of old MK games will not make money. Also, many MK fans does not making petitions or letting them WB or NRS know that we actually want this. Like, if people want MK collection to happen, then let's get to the screaming part about it. We have to let them know that we want it, because WB and NRS can't hear us for some reason. I mean, heck, if they release the collection of 3D era MK games, including Shaolin Monks, for all of the platforms, including PC then I will be 100% ready to pay a money for it. Like, literally, that would be a "shut up and take my money" moment for me. Sadly, NRS nor WB are not that bright to think outside of the box.

I would just put MK9 in 3d collection since no other NRS titles need a remaster anyway. That way we have 2 collections that include everything, plain and simple. But they won't do that because then the only people playing M1K would be SonicF**ks and llke 10 other so-called pros.
Nah dude, you don't want a collection from these current pack of mutants. NRS are incompetent to the point of hilarity. They'll make it bad on purpose so you'll WANT to play MK1. The arcades are gone now and MK is back where it belongs. Underground, in PC lobbies where there is no recognition for winning other than the glory of beating a good player. Got too big for it's britches now it's back to square one.

You'd think they would have made this collection already because of money they would make. But i guess common sense and wanting money is not on the Minds of NRS and WB. Quite unfortunate indeed.

MK is a shell of its former self, so sad to see it in the state it is. hopefully it will recover somhow but i really cannot see it happening. it was good while it lasted.
The only way is for them to return to the original tone and look of the older games.
At this point I'm not sure if I want some type of MK collection cause they will find a way to fuck it up somehow.

I'd love a MK1-MK7 Collection and a MK9 remaster (UNALTERED! No censorship!), but I don't trust them to make it a competant one. They couldn't even find a competant team for the PS3 Arcade Kollection. Companies wonder why millions still emulate games to this day.

This generation we got a couple of "impossible " collections due to licensing nightmare like the TMNT collection or the Jurassica Park and now even Disney is allowing Capcom to release an MvC collection
But for some reason lazy Netherrealm and WB dont want to release a simple Mortal Kombat Collection with the 4 arcade games that cost nothing to make but will sell like hotcakes...bozos!

MK will never do a collection they want too squeeze has much money from you as possible.
Lets hope they take note of what Capcom is doing and will finally do this since its been way to long...Also they should include the WII version of Armageddon aswell cuz that one had way more variety in the Arcade Towers in terms of characters u fight, and there was a glitch in the PS2/Xbox versions where some of the unlocked stages would never appear in Arcade Mode but on the WII version they did.
Its called MK Trilogy on PS1 and its the only MK game you need.
We need a better, more complete version of that. The one we got was terrible.

@@davidagiel8130 They should even do Ultimate Mortal Kombat Trilogy remaster and follow what Super Smash Bros Ultimate did in terms of having everything but they can also learn from Ultra Street Fighter 2 by adding an extra character and a new updated version. They can even add the arcade mode similar to Street Fighter 5: arcade edition.
I would rather see a remaster of the original Mortal Kombat Trilogy. Just my $0.02.
They should do the MK Trilogy and call it Ultimate Mortal Kombat Trilogy remaster. But include an arcade mode like Street Fighter 5: Arcade Edition and add a 1p vs CPU mode for UMK trilogy. UMK trilogy can be what Armageddon, Budokai Tenkaichi 3 and Super Smash Bros Ultimate was but for UMK Trilogy. Classic songs and graphics should be a toggle and like Halo: MCC and recent tomb raider collection. An MK9 remaster should include 1p vs cpu mode as well. I think a MK9-MK11 type trilogy and Armageddon game should have happened happen before MK1.
Aside from 1up, there has never been a true 1:1 arcade port on consoles

There is no reason why I should have to hook up my PS3 to play the mortal kombat collection from 2011. They should have been put those games on PS5/xbox series X/s and switch by now. We should have easy access to the classic 2D and 3D games. WB are bunch of idiots though and blocked them in previous years from doing stuff with the classics. Maybe things will change in the near future as so many classic collections are coming out now. There needs to be more ways to play this game outside of paying $400 -$500 for an arcade 1UP to play classic mortal kombat. I have one but I know not everyone in the world can afford one of those or take the time to build it. It’s a real shame. We need a collection now!
for MK we actually need 2 collections. we need an arcade anthology with MK, MK2 MK3, UMK3, MK4, MK Gold, MK Trilogy. then we need a 3D era collection with Deadly Alliance, Deception, Unchained & Armageddon. throw in Shaolin Monks for good measure... MK vs DC is a licensing nightmare so I don't expect that to come back, but we should at least get those.... also, MK( deserves a full remake with MK11 quality visuals. get rid of the licensed DLC like Freddy, Kratos etc & replace them with Tremor & Khameleon or something. add a create-a-character function & let is mix & match special moves & normals of other characters to create our own, so we can make Hydro, Cyber Scorpion or whoever we want a la Mugen. the MK Kommunity deserves that.
They gotta keep MK1 relevant. They know the collection will make people drop it even more 😂

I'd prefer they got the Tekken 7 route for DA through 11. All endings, story movies, how its made content which was basically from the krypts, and playable Shaolin Monks. I wanted to say a moden SZ Mythologies would be cool but then i just remembered how bad alot of the Invasions Survives are. Lol.

Obviously, I'd play MK1 - UMK3 as well, but I loved MK Trilogy! Street Fighter & other fighters got HD remasters & collections, so why can't MK!?
I just dont get why they cant just port the PS3 Arcade Kollection. It was by far the best way to play old MK on consoles, had great filters to make it very arcade-like. GOG version looks like shit, blurry and pixelated. Only heavy emulation tweaking can give us an OK result.
I would love to see some remakes happen. MK4, the worst of the lot to me, remade with better controls, animations, cutscenes, and MK11 quality graphics all running at 60 fps would get my money mere seconds after being announced. 😂

I love how the speculation on the comments is way off like the first comment. I see it couldn’t be more wrong. Bottom line is nether wants to make a collection. Ed Boone Netherland have tried to make a couple of collections over the last couple of years. Warner Brothers doesn’t see how it would be profitable even though people continue to ask for it. Ed Boone has stated going google it, there’s a whole video about it on Matt mcmucels channel about the last few times that they tried to make a classic MK collection, but the bottom line is Warner Brothers are afraid Nother Rome isn’t afraid Warner Brothers doesn’t see how it would be profitable even though there are people constantly four years that have been asking for another classic original trilogy port or an HD port or a 3-D port for the 3-D games or an HD port of Mortal Kombat Shaolin monks or Shaolin monks two for that matter anything like that to make it not allowed to because of Warner Bros. not seeing the value in allowing them to make that even though this whole MK1 situation and the reason the game is fucked is because they treat MK as a breadwinning game because it makes the most for a long time it sells the best so they fucking pushed it forward and we got this unfinished mess because they know Mortal Kombat sells, and their other games didn’t and they were in a decline so they pushed it out early even though they fucked up the development cycle of it and we got what we got but they don’t see MK profitable but they do shit like that and push out something that’s half cooked but at the same time they didn’t do Jack shit but make a bunch of fucking merch for the 30th anniversary last year port nothing like that no collections and it’s bottom line because Warner Bros. doesn’t see it to be profitable

Now that Marvel vs Capcom Collection will release, hopefully MK decides to copy like they usually do. Going to be difficult to get the Midway games, because they are a different era. A better era, which is what Boon is scared of. Why would he release something better than himself where he is now. First 4 MK games including Trilogy are the best ever along with MK 9 with Shaolin Monks. Should be a seven in one game identical to the one Capcom is pushing out. Only a PS3 collection has been made, but they are long forgotten and need to be revived. People are always emulating older games, because they don’t exist anymore. Online enabled each individual game with lobbies and view other fighters and replay modes, with ranking. Free is not a word NRS understands. But this can be done easily with their resources. Obviously they have to compete with their competitors. Promote MK 9 like how MvsC2 is promoted as the core game. GOG is a path that can lead NRS to victory. MK 9 can be easily improved and restored by the company. Wish there was a way to send this message, maybe through the pros if possible. Since he doesn’t listen to casual gamers. Huge amount of Mugen games, and I play a few of those, because they are fun and made by fans for fans.

Haven't watched the video yet. But I have a PS3 I love it but I hate that I can't get the Mk arcade kollection. I really wanted to play the original Mk. But since it's not on there I thought " why not buy the Sega Genesis version?" Then I realized that my Sega Genesis has the jail bar's on screen. So I may have to get the model 1 or get the Retron 5. Which both are expensive.
I love and thankful mvc fighting collection is coming. But damn I've been crying about a MK collection since probably mortal kombat 10. Do they not see the money they could have? As long as it's literally all the mk games except subzero mythologies that sucked balls. I'm serious when I say I would pay at least $120 dollars for a mk collection original mk 1 to mk 10 or 11.

I have to say after playing Injustice 2 that game is so bare with ifs extra conebt , had me thinking about Replying thr Capcom Marvel Games because i got more for my Money 💰 & even Capvom Arcade Stadium mostly to play Darkstalkers and Cyberbots

But on the Mortal Kombat side of things is just Lacking i hate all the Loot Boxesb& gear in injustice 2, i barely play MKX & 11

To me the best Collection is the TMNT Cowabonga collection, that has not only ever arcade game released but also every arcade home console port and portable games plus an insane gallery with not only music and art but design documents,the boxes,promotional, comic book covers theres even an instruction to instal the arcade machine
Thats what Mortal Kombat deserves all the 4 arcade games + every major port from those games like MK2 snes or MK3 for the GB or MK4 for PS1 and GIGANT gallery
