I kinda wonder if Double D could trick Ed and Eddy into selling something legit like brownies, making them think it’s a scam.
Probably, I mean they did try and sell fake ice cream. Why not brownies?
Well there was an episode where they tried selling sandwiches, But even that went wrong.
Eddy would think that's too much work, keep in mind eddys scams are just there to make money
Didn’t that happen with Jimmy? They all made popsicles which legitimately sold, but Eddy thought it was stupid and walked away.
Knowing Eddy he'll probably use mud and dog poop instead of brownie mix.
Did anybody ever notice that all of the girls in the cul-de-sac were really into double d like Sarah,nazz,and even all of the kankers sisters.I remembered so many moments in the shows where these girls were constantly either crushing on him,trying to getting his attention,and they even call him cute on some occasions as well.
Education and intelligence are very attractive
As the person who submitted Double D as mostly taking a chance (and was shocked that he won, thanks guys!) I might as well share my thoughts on Double D.
I think Double D has probably the healthiest home life of the three Ed’s (Compared to Ed and Eddy’s it’s not saying much) but his parents do really seem to care about his well being (3:45 his parents don’t seem to care that he lost the spelling Bee and his mother packed his favorite lunch to make him feel better) however Double D’s biggest issue his Toxic friendship, let’s be real as much as Eddy and Ed are good friends it’s only Double D who knows that they can good friends.
Not just the Cul De Sac kids but Double D’s parents’s don’t seem to like Ed and Eddy’s destructive nature, heck when the Ed’s were grounded in one episode Double D was given a much more lenient punishment than his peers, I think it was Double D’s Parents trying to wean him off of Ed and Eddy, and I honestly don’t blame them considering the chaos they cause.
I think Double D’s equal share of punishment makes a lot of sense when you take one line from the movie when Eddy and him are arguing in mind. “Like you were sniffing Daisies, YOU BUILT THE STUPID THING!” Double D is equally as responsible as Ed and Eddy whenever a scam goes wrong no matter how you look at it.
That being said I really enjoyed this analysis of Double D, and I’m glad it won the gift vote!

While yes, Edd is just as responsible for the Eds' scams, he points out none of them would end in failure had Eddy just listened to Edd's warnings, showing while Edd is not at all above the scams, he still makes sure they're legit and safe for the kids, as he knows that it takes careful planning to pull off a successful business scheme, and as we all know, Eddy isn't known for planning or caring for others' safety.
I like those moment where Double D has a conniving and petty side, like when he took point in spying on Kevin, suggested they come up with an idea to scam Kevin out of all his jawbreaker money, this Season 2 moment I believe where he builds and pulls out the magnet meant to steal everyone’s money from their hiding spot, mocking Eddy for believing in the supernatural phone, the whole reverse psychology on the Kankers bit, etc.
There isn’t that much but it’s good to see that he’s an Ed at heart and that he’s not completely innocent
Honestly, writing characters like Double-D and Rolf seem very complicated. I can’t imagine the brain power it took to write their dialog. 😱
I have an EEnE AU fanseries and I can confirm 100%, it is hard to write characters that complicated and nuanced, even if I've been obsessed with the show these past few years. On top of the fact that it's an AU, so I have to keep the deliberate lore and character differences I set up for it intact.
I often find myself scrapping entire sections altogether because of pacing or mischaracterization, or even both, recently had to scrap Episode 2 in its entirety because it was wrong from the start, and so the whole thing over from scratch with an entirely new premise.
But hey, at least EEnE Rétro Future(that's the name fyi) has gotten more success from dozens of other fanprojects I've attempted to do and cancelled in the past, because I have a lot of interest in it that overpowers the defeat in failed attempts.
Don't know about how the people working on the original show made those two characters so awesome. Seriously.
To think the guy who played Double D was also Sonic’s singing voice in Sonic Underground. Glad his career was able to recover.
Oh, come on. Sonic Underground is nowhere near as bad as people talk it up to be.

It's true, Double D needs Ed and Eddy and vice versa. Because without them Double D would have no real social life and would never know how to act like a real kid, And the other Ed boys would be nothing without Double D because like you said without Double D's brains and technological expertise Eddy's scams would never get off the ground.
And Ed would most likely just be wasting his simple time metaphorically hitting himself in the head with a hammer without Double D's encouragement to motivate him to be better. But Double D is more than just the glue that holds the Ed trio together, Because throughout the series he's also tried to play the voice of reason which is amazing because given that nobody ever listened to him he shouldn't have bothered trying.
As for Double D being punished when he did nothing wrong, I believe the reason why is simply because the Cul-De-Sac kids think that just because he's friends with the other two Ed's Double D should be considered guilty by association, Which is still unfair.
At last… the holy trilogy is complete.
Ed Edd n Eddy is one of those shows where all of the characters are despicable. Seinfeld being another example.

Double D is the brains of the Ed group, whereas Ed is the comic relief and Eddy is the frontman. What a perfect Character Quest to complete the Ed group!

Hearing both Cuphead and Pizza Tower music in this video is quite a treat.
I remember double d being one of the earliest crushes I had as a kid. Also I always thought he had crazy long hair under his hat. I also headcanon him as being blond since Ed had redhead and eddy looked good with blue hair/rolf's hair.
Personally DoubleD is my second favorite character (the first remains Jonny with Plank). I love his intellectual rants, not to mention he's a young MacGyver. And he was the only one of the gang that really bothered me if he ended up being punished. He was the only one who was 100% good. Beautiful when he then takes Eddy's defense when his pimple grows or when he scolds Eddy and he finally admits his faults. For me, DoubleD remains the best.

In the Episode "My Fairy Ed" Double Dee gets blamed by the other kids when it was Ed and Eddy doing causing trouble. So what, people see him as their guardian?

My favorite Double D moment is when he stook up for Ed when the KANKERS capture him in “Ed Overboard” and I think that Under Double D’s hat is hair that is thinning cause Ed and Eddy are a little bald so it just made sense and also has scars under said hat when in “Ed in a Half Shell” Double D said “Its gym class all over again!!!” And started screaming then Ed and Jimmy started screaming too. Which meant something happened in gym class with Double D when he was young.
