With a 240-volt outlet, the EQS SUV can charge from 10-100% in 11 hours and 25 minutes and comes with a 9.6 kW onboard charger. The EQS SUV 450 and 580 can tow almost 4,000 pounds and the 450+ RWD model just under 1700 pounds. The interior of the EQS is luxurious, comfortable, spacious and open with excellent visibility. The EQS cabin has some useful storage spaces including a large bin below the floating centre console. It has navigation with electric intelligence to plan the fastest and most convenient route. Available 360-degree Dolby Atmos sound experience, augmented reality and head-up display. Optional 3rd row with two additional individual seats, a warm and cool tone colour scheme. The Premium Package includes features like 10 degree axle steering, climate comfort front seats, enhanced heated front seats, multi-contour front seats with massage feature, head-up display, 4-zone automatic climate control and air balance package. EQS SUV looks good, but the back looks a bit like Mazda CX-9 to me
So...it looks good then?
@@nicholassmith7048 both CX-9 and EQS look good
Great review, also on the GLS. How does this copmare to GLS on comfort and space. Deciding between the 2
Nice but TOO EXPENSIVE!!!
IMO the bezels and gaps in the hyper screen under the glass are really ugly. I’d rather have the standard screen that goes edge to edge.
Another big fat over priced EV..... LOL. The rich will save us from climate change. ;)
Other than the charging infrastructure, why on earth would you get the badly built Tesla's over something like this!?
It’s way overpriced, but might be a good buy in 3-5 years when depreciation hits and unlike ice luxury cars these are probably less likely to breakdown and be money sinks.
Are you both excited about the All-Electric Equinox EV coming later? Finally, a good looking EV with range that isn't out of reach for so many of us.
Yes, very much so, can't wait to drive it!
Great review again! I do think it is looks better than EQS sedan .... Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for watching, glad you enjoyed it!
@@andreaspencer9813 U2 lovely couple!!
@@ilord112 Thank you!
Slightly better but still looks like a fat bloated minivan 🤮🤮
@@tazwarhossain5283 hehe I know …
I am not sure I like the new style of Mercedes’ electronic future…
Mercedes is not as great as we thought…
That's about 8000 Ft up in the mountains where regular engines struggle.
Love the off road part, but....how many owner would take this off road? Haha
The look of the car doesn't matter anymore? It is such an ugly Mercedes.
I wonder if the wheel size option not being available was due to lack of winter tire for it? They're mandatory some provinces so maybe that was why.
2023 Mercedes-Benz EQS SUV looking absolutly beautiful 😍😍😍😍
this is undoubtedly the world's most beautiful SUV.
Love the actually-opening-sunroof shout-out...far too rare in the EV segment!
For a 150 K $. Better be . LOL
@@ryanray6215 Agreed tell that to Tesla
I think the car looks very good!
I used to love it until someone said it looked like a minivan
Lol yeah no .. honestly.. Mercedes improves and drops price over time ...so I'll wait for like 3 years to get this one
That is one big car Andrea with tons of power and and packed with luxury. Very smooth lines and outside design, everything you'd expect from a Mercedes-Benz. Good off road driving too Andrea both you and Zack 👍
Thank you, it was a lot of fun and a great opportunity to see how capable this SUV is.
@@andreaspencer9813 You both looked as if you enjoyed it and it was strange seeing a luxury car going off road to that extent Andrea.
@@timphillips4147 For sure, not sure how many are actually going to take this off road but it's nice to know its capabilities.
@@andreaspencer9813 Very true Andrea, guess for some people at least they'll know it can do this for what it's worth.
As I'm still in love with my 10 year old ML 350, I definitely can see myself moving into the EQS in a few years when that price tag has gone down! Thank you for the review.
Thanks for watching!
Looks like fat bloated minivan 🤮🤮
Im still love my 2006 ml 350 😂 120k miles only
Ive loved Mercedes my whole life
but these EQ models are U-G-L-Y 😢
Blimey every car reviewer is in colorado.
Can’t justify the price
I really like it, but am wary of Mercedes reliability and expensive repairs after the warranty period.
It looks like $30-$35k entry level premium car.
You are right... I was thinking it looked like a fairly nice Kia. No way you can justify the price unless you just want to impress your neighbors
1440p! Woot woot! Amazing car you guys should buy it lol
Looks so ugly outside. The rear wiper really dates it. Way over priced. Next !
Also made in USA
I was next one yesterday on our way to a highway on-ramp. Red light. I didn’t bother to race him as there was no way I’d beat him to the ramp.
I’ll just catch him on the ramp, I thought.
While I did manage to close the gap somewhat, there was no way I’d catch him in my MINI
I was really impressed with how stable and quick the EQS was on the ramp
Ugh...less than 300 miles on a full charge. We are so used to getting around 400 miles on a full tank of gas. My venza hybrid gets 550 miles per fill up. I wish MB made this in a gas hybrid. All that being said...this is a beautiful vehicle.
The shape of the car reminds of Lincoln MKT
True
Lets get people on 50k+ debt on an electric gadget that wont have a resale value after its usable life span. And govt can control people using the tech on where they will travel and how they will travel. Nah.. keeping my suzuki where i have the freedom to fill and travel without worry of govt controls.
The script you use is the same can you pass it to me I want to review my son electric bike it will be helpful LOL!!!
Ooohh This vehicle makes me want to buy it but it’s beyond my budget! Poor Andrea sitting in the backseat with uncomfortable back part of middle seat. Great interior design, I love it! Great video Andrea! 👍🏻👍🏻☕️☕️ Next time, let Zack sit in the middle backseat. 😆😉
Yes, beyond our budget as well but for those who can afford it, they'll really enjoy it. Yes, the middle seat isn't as comfortable as it should be.
@@andreaspencer9813 Maybe you should get a pillow for your back as you sit in the middle of backseat.
Whats up with mercedes and audi making all their new SUVs look like wagon?
135k car. man. they r just getting more and more expensive
Great review. This reminds me of the old R Class, especially the 7 seater. I feel that if the R class was still available, this is what it would have looked like.
Super cool but something about it just doesn't scream expensive considering the price and that it's an "S" model Mercedes.
Well the EQS has a cheapish look so therefore this bloated hatchback version does as well.
Design is cheap doesn't scream stylish. NOt impressed with the Germans in the electric field regarding design. This is the one thing Tesla did well is that they made electric cars look like a hot commodity. It's a shame their quality control is a big joke!
This just looks like a fat honda odyssey with a Porsche macan rear end
Is the SUV shorter than the sedan? The SUVs are built in the US and the battery plant is nearby as well.
The sedan and SUV share the same platform and the wheelbase is the exact same but the EQS SUV is 20 cm higher.
Who would buy Tesla Model X now ? for the same price
Remember when electric vehicles can only go as fast as 20 miles per hour and only had a seat for the driver 🤔
EVs came out before ICE cars in late 1800s. How old are you exactly??? 😅
Too much BS, price & range aft half video no clue
That thing is WOW 👏🏻also 💵💵💵😂
Definitely looks better than the sedan. Can it be optioned without the neon?
That's LED, not neon lighting and no, it cannot.
How does it compared with Rivian SUV?
Mercedes interior is luxurious and is a lot nicer than Rivian. Rivian SUV is more sportier.
Suprised it doesn't have a 'Sentry' mode like Tesla. Benz is still way behind
The Mercedes interior is way ahead of Tesla. Mercedes interiors are the best.
The price is ridiculous. The air suspension can raise the vehicle 30mm? That's 1.2 inches. That's for going over a speed bump in a parking lot and nothing more. I know it sounds weird, but I like to watch the road when I drive. I don't want or need 56 inches of screen to distract me. This may be the future, but it's not progress.
My car brand for life. I use 1999 Mercedes Benz C 280. I am coming to buy this Benz Adria. I prefer Merc over Toyota Tacoma,Hilander and all other product of the Mercedes competitors
If I get it right: they want over a 100 k for their product and can’t even get the middle seat at the second row comfortable?? Are you guys kidding? I hope it’s a joke
Mercedes has done it . Model x is done 😊
I would be in constant anxiety over running out of juice and not finding a charging station.
This looks like a van
Why not offering a desired AMG version, which would provide zero-to-60mph slightly below 4.0 seconds (matching my present 2016 Model X) ?
You missed the best regen option. "D Auto" if you hold the right paddel behind the wheel (shifting up), it will go into "auto" this will adjust depending on the street, upcoming tempo change car infronts and so on. Perfect, best in class.
Nice car. Distracting, but nice. Do we really want people more distracted messing with ambient lighting colors when they're driving? Too many menus, not enough hard buttons.... seems like the marketing people took the vehicle safety people and gagged them. Will be interested to see if cars like this cause more accidents due to this.
Nobody is buying this. 😂
I thought it was said that the AMG steering (Flat Bottom) is not available on the EQS SUV. But on this review, It has got one with the Flat Bottom.
I can afford to buy this vehicle cash……but I don’t think any vehicle is worth $100k plus today. Ok, maybe a certain Porsche 😃
Wow look at that hyper screen, how much is it again? $146k only ??? wow total bargain
Hi , Great video ! Between the EQS SUV and BMW IX 50, which car gets the most for your money ? Thanks !
Nice effort on Mercedes part but the front end design not the greatest, and the price is a bit much. Not sure how this is going to compete with the many other options to choose from. To be honest, I’m not sure how EV’s in general will ever really get popular. It was also not a realistic setting for a EV. I would suspect it not be practical to own in the Rockies.
I’ll give you $50K for it
You're very generous .
Pricing is insane.
Canadian don’t even have to tell you they are in the US; they just tell you the city and state like it’s the same country.
You are not allowed to open the hood of this thing? Just don't think the suv is designed for an EV.
So much better n elegant looking than the EQS what was mercedes even thinking while designing EQS
Great review, thanks. I am looking at getting one and your review helped me a lot. Cheers!
First time look at this....What do i have to say?? " fall in love"?
This vehicle will crush any urban mall parking lot thrown at it.
$136,000!!! Ridiculous....no thanks. Mercedes are regularly at the BOTTOM of Consumer Reports quality ratings, and we're supposed to make electrified vehicles attractive AND affordable if we're ever going to get our climate change responsibilities in line. Sorry, but this vehicle is not ringing any bells with me. I can get better quality and value from a PHEV Hyundai or KIA at a third of the price.
If you are shopping for Kia and Hyundai then a Mercedes probably isn't for you....
Best EV
Really happy with the opportunity you guys had with Mercedes. The review was both informative and entertaining at the same time. Keep up with the great work!
Thank you so much, we appreciate the positive feedback.
A great car for people who have too much money and not enough sense.
I like your work guys!
Thank you!
Are the Mercedes squeaky interior plastics standard?
I love you 😍😍😍
nice ride
what happened to the front bumper? doesn't this car need one?
I guess if you can afford this you can afford to wreck it going off road!
benz for lifee
It definitely looks better as an SUV. Probably the best looking electric one… that is until Range Rover enters the fully electric game. I think that it has too much flash though. It looks too ‘New Money-ish’… especially at $150 grand! I’m not a huge G-wagon fan, but I’d gladly pay more (even over retail) and even pay the ridiculously high fuel (and maintenance costs) over this EQS. Personally though, I’d wait until the release of the 2024(?) ‘electric’ Range Rover. Thanks for the video.
Btw. That looked like the perfect weekend away… testing a Brand new luxurious vehicle in the majestic mountains of Colorado with the woman I love, a romantic getaway… all whilst someone else is picking up the bill. Well done you guys.
@@kellingtonlink956 Looks like a fat bloated minivan/ jacked up station wagon 🤮🤮
This car just came out & already looks dated.
What's wrong with these automakers. When will they start making electric cars for the masses, everyday working people? Who can afford ths thing! Just ridiculous!
When they decide they don't want to maximise profits and ROE for the owners.
A bit of blue leather in a nod to Genesis?? Thx!
Again reviewing this out of touch cars! You harp about getting cars available to the rest of us yet you fly down to review this opulent car. Boo.
We drive em all..
A marvel of technology with an absurd price.
ฉันต้องการชื้อ
You better tell us how high is the EMF in those EV's .
Hey where's the frunk, Mercedes?
Matt from CarWow got to see a “secret AMG” model, did y’all get to see it as well?
Maybe.....
That’s not a screen, it’s a stage!
$140K starting price.... car companies and the government want people to switch to EV and Plugin EV in the not to distant future. How about producing an EV or Plugin EV that average working class people can purchase. A majority of EV's and Plugin EV are north of $45K, it's no wonder the public is shying away from them at the current time. Electricity may be more efficient and cheaper to power a vehicle than gas or diesel but the initial cost is too high for people to enjoy the savings when they have to pay a premium for the EV over the similar gas driven vehicle. Also, the charging infrastructure is terrible in Canada at the current time.
That's what the non luxury brands are for.
This is a high-end Mercedes. When have high-end Mercedes been affordable. There is the EQB if you want to spend less. But it is still not going to be the least expensive option. And people keep complaining about the price of EVs yet the more affordable ones don't sell and the more expensive Tesla Model 3 and Y sell like hot cakes.
Beautiful but 136k….eeeek
The proportions are strange. It's too long and low, like a van.
I like long and low. But I prefer wagons over SUVs and I guess I'm in a minority now.
16:38 gas, Andrea? 😀
Tesla is better especially at half the price.
Not true, the Tesla Model X is more expensive...
Disappointing that Mercedes hasn't figured out how to blend the regerative with the mechanical brakes. That's definitely exposing their inexperience with electric vehicles.
🆒️💯✔🔝🚘
M-B moving us farther away from transportation to entertainment on wheels. All we need now is fully automated driving and Zager & Evans singing "In The Year 2525".
$158 thousand dollars 😂 I wouldn’t spend that much in gas for my entire life 🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️ where the hell is all this electric coming from 🤷♂️🤷♂️ so the oil companies have had our wallets for ever, now the electric companies will have our wallets….
I love this ,
Great review
Thank you, glad you liked it!
