@@pwiley101Here in Canada, they have reduced the EQ vehicles by 30% and sometimes more, while there is no reduction in cost for the gas vehicles. If economy was a factor, then gas vehicles would also be discounted. The used EQ vehicles have only 5,000-10,000kms on them. Nice vehicles? It appears the majority of buyers don't agree.
The proof is with the dealers, salespeople are saying these are not meeting the moment and that they are not selling well because they are expensive and unbecoming of the Mercedes-Benz ethos. The fact that they are charging this much for a car that is obsolete right off the bat is a tragedy. And for $117,000, I better be able to open my own damn hood my own damn self.
🤔🤔 If there's no reason to open your own damn hood, then why would you care? In the 20 years of driving all my ice cars, I've opened the hood maybe twice. With this, there's literally zero reason to open it so it doesn't matter that you can't.
For the price, the 330 mile range just isn't enough considering how unreliable electrify america is. Have an eqs sedan now and range is great, but will probably go to a GLE450e next. Anyways great review as always!
@jeffs6090 yea, politics aside, I love how smooth and quiet ev's are. I also enjoy not spending 30 minutes every week to get gas. So much so that I'm reluctant to go back to ICEs. Not a huge fan of mercede's i4, it's underpowered in the gle350 in my opinion. But hopefully it's less noticeable when paired with an electric motor. Will probably stick with Benz because my wife prefers the brand and we have a very good friendships with the staff of our local dealer.
Remember real world range isn't real at all. Unless u driving by yourself with nothing carried in it and hitting it 65 mph or less. Pack of 4 to 5 people in it with a few stuffs or luggages than it be under 200 miles guaranteed 😅
Mercedes keeps releasing EVs that are styled after a bar of soap with a strip club looking interior, then they're genuinely puzzled when their EVs have low sales.
That hood thing is bullshit. If you bought the car, you have every right in the world to do whatever you want with it. Restricting access to personal property to technicians should be illegal.
Dealership pricing is fairly delusional these days, won’t be surprised is inventory is primarily higher optioned units above msrp lowering the desirability on an already overpriced model relative to rivals. Germans need to work on their design and pricing for EVs
Don't believe the mileage numbers. I will never buy another EV until they have as many charging stations that work as they have gas stations. Things can get really stressful when you're out of town and finding a station that works and doesn't take 3 hours to get to 90%. Around your town they're great, but that's where it ends. Get used to waiting for a charge at times when stations are 3 deep.
I am big fans of Mercedes but their EV designs are losing the plot compared to the Audi e-tron VW and BMW. Even BMW ev are not selling much. The most sold in our country is Audi. Nice design , very comfortable and reliable
I just spotted one down my street and it’s also a 450 but does have the hyperscreen, is in Portugal and it has a license plate from the Uk which means is RHD.
I’m probably the only one that said this thing looks like a civic and it does. You a weirdo, how the fuck can you steal a comment? I’m not a stalker troll like you going through comments i comment how i feel my opinion.
WTF is with these auto MFG's that choose to market EV's with less than 300 miles of range? I wouldn't even consider anything with less than 350 miles of range. There are at least 8 EV's with more than 320 miles of range, why consider EV's with less than 300 in the USA or Canada - in Europe, 280 miles of range may be okay, but not here in the US.
Mr my Tesla you said your Tesla is missing the AMG in EQS SUV, it’s really none sense to compare cos Tesla don’t have AMG,so it’s none sense to mention or compares
These EQs are really trash. Big battery, short range, weak motors and expensive price. Every time seeing a EQ on road, I keep asking myself what kind of customer would buy this car.
At least you still have Audi since Audis still look good, since they don't take too many risks but their EVs looks like a regular Audi product. And they can still fit in a frunk, unlike BMW and MB
@@normanli7085 yeah but audi is unreliable and plus it never had the impression that a mercedes benz gave or even maybe bmw. Remember audi is a nicer volkswagon. It just sucks, the mercedes have lost it.

These Merc EVs are stacking up on dealer lots. That says it all.
I keep reading about this yet, at least here in Europe, resale models aren't showing noticeable discounts, so far! :-(
The only thing it says is that it's not really affordable for most given the state if the economy...Other than that, it's a great car

Still an opportunity to buy slightly used at an extremely steep discount in the coming years.
You lost me at “only a Mercedes-Benz technician can open the hood” 😳🙄
For this to be a six figure car, he lost me at the range.
There's nothing there to see. Porsche has been doing the same thing with their 911s for years.

I am not a fan of the exterior design language for their EVs. Koreans are doing it way better in my opinion...
I thought so too till I saw one on the road looks freaking incredible
I think Australians are doing it better!
I can't be the only one that think the Germans have gone so wrong with designing cars properly
Germans are designing German cars. They need some American influence. 😅😅😅
Not at all 🫠
Like actually, the RS6 avant is the only actually nice German car I can think of that's come out recently
There is nothing wrong with designing the most aerodynamic exterior shape possible.
This price is ludicrous for that range. EVs have a long way to go.
I love both versions of the EQS, especially the front. Mercedes-Benz and Toyota are the best, and Honda hits the spot like nothing else.
😅what a comment. Nobody discussing toyota and honda here... But from no where this popped up

Same here! Love the EQS!
Problematic touchscreen controls, unreliable door handles, very high price, poor resale (solid state will arrive in a few years). Just buy an i6 GLE.
Given how much people seems to dislike these they should be dirt cheap after 3 or 4 years of depreciation lol

They are getting super charger so by the team your lease is up you won’t need to go back to the gle.
That has a 4 cylinder engine with the plug in. It would be better to get the X5 50e.

295 miles is absolutely unacceptable, any comparable gas powered sedan can beat that

you actually believe they’re puzzled eh?
I have one, I love it and what you said is hilarious 😂😂 I can totally relate 😉
Massive battery pack and 280 range in the same sentence???🤔🤔
In the same sentence he said 330-340 miles of range, which is great.
I hope nobody buy these so they can depreciate

Mercedes standing right at the same spot where bmw was standing couple of years ago in their design of 3 series and 4 series.
I'm sure the 23k brings more than an increase in power. I'm sure there would be additional kit as well.
I pay 100k plus but I can’t open my hood. Next thing we know we can’t open up the doors without the dealer
