- Larry gets a little deeper here than he does on most Thursdays after a busy week of sessions.
a LOT of new viewers have recently asked "where is the tip jar?" when they felt led to contribute something after 218 free guitar lessons...despite Dominic Hudson's best efforts to deter them.

A lot of these very same new viewers don't seem to know that Uncle Larry made a couple records that they could potentially listen to...
one is an instrumental solo record called "Plexi Soul" that is available here:
tombukovac.bandcamp.com/album...
another is an instrumental collaboration with his dear friend Dean Deleo (originally from the Stone Temple Pilots organization) that is available here:
tripthewitch.bandcamp.com/alb...
and a LOT of people don't seem to know that they can go here to purchase a myriad of Homeskoolin' related merchandise..including several different T-shirts and some beautifully constructed coffee mugs for those afflicted with thin lips...

Tom, you're not alone in the realm of six strings, where legends reside, Guitar players arise with passion deep inside. From Stevie Ray Vaughan with his Texas blues, To Gary Moore, emotions pouring through. Their fingers dance upon the frets, Creating magic, no one forgets. But there's something more, a sight to behold, Involuntary faces, stories untold. Guitar players, faces ablaze, Lost in the music, in a mesmerizing haze. Their expressions reveal the depths of their soul, As they play their guitars, letting it all unfold. Satriani's fingers, swift and precise, Hendrix's fire, setting the stage alight. John Mayer's soulful strums, a heartfelt cry, And Slash, his riffs, they reach for the sky. BB King, bending notes with grace, Steve Vai's virtuosity, a cosmic embrace. Eddie Van Halen, a whirlwind of sound, Gilmore's solos, floating all around. Brian May's melodies, soaring with pride, Angus Young, thunderstruck, electrified. Carlos Santana, channeling spirits unseen, Their faces tell tales, as if in a dream. From blues to rock, from jazz to metal, Guitar players unite, their passion settle. Involuntary faces, a language of their own, Through the strings, their stories are known.
can i hit that curt?
This is one of the most intelligent things I've read lately.
@@501chorusecho this could be a song my man. I'd listen to it lol.)
Didn’t know his beers are Kosher 😂
I think a Moody Blues approach would be appropriate @@fodiddlediddle5015
We are lucky to be here god bless Tom great player amazing player very creative thank you for all the music
Old video but I had to chime in on "The bad news vent". Amen!!! If it were up to me, I wouldn't have a phone.
This recent release of videos has been pure gold.
Man, I just have to say thank you! You make me laugh nearly everyday. Moved to Nashville in ‘93 as a musician. Worked with many artists in development and did some hired-gun roadwork. Had two children and couldn’t stomach being away from them and stumbled into a career in web development. Got divorced in 05 and about drank myself to death from being away from my kids a lot of the time. You’re so right; these are the good old days! I still play everyday and play out sometimes. Your channel has been an inspiration since the pandemic. To me you’re like a great friend. Sorry for the novella but wanted to share.
Keep up the great work amigo! ❤
Right on my man
a man's fuzz is a man's fuzz.....not the sort of thing you be telling' everyone about....great playing, great conversation, thank you
lol
You guys putting Tom down have zero clue what kind of a friend he is. He’s got lots of love and showers it amongst his friends. I can’t wait for a session that Tom is playing on!! Lighten up people!!!
Oh, btw, he’s an incredible dad!!!
awwwwwww....love you Stevie boy
Guitar faces are awesome! Santana said; “it’s like your body is trying to leave this planet while gravity is holding you back.”
Love this jam!
"We're all just lucky to be here!"
Well said Uncle Larry!
F n A!
For sure...the boatload of contest entries show how much talent is really on the planet and few reach levels that Tom does professionally with his music. He knows it and is greatfull for that. Playing music to many looks like fun and games all day long. I worked as an engineer back in the tape days...and believe me...some days were'nt so fun. It was more like babysitting. Now we can share some stories with crazy Uncle and let him "babysit". We can just click something else, but enjoy what we want. Life is good, Tom plays good, his musicians friends are good...he has good guitars.... ah...need I say more?
I remember watching a zz top documentary and hearing gibbons put it that way. Definitely a humbling perspective to have considering how the universe works.
Glad I bumped into this channel. ✌️
Love it man.
Tom, contest aside, I’m just honoured that you might have spent one minute listening to me play after everything you’ve done for us all. Respect as always.

Loving the frequent uploads to the channel.
Dearest Uncle Larry, thanks for everything!
Hey Tom.. I love your show… PayPal…. I’m SO freakin broke these days that I can’t even pay attention…Seriously.. not your fault.. I’m an old bass playin carpenter trying to learn electric guitar who hasn’t planned well for retirement… and there’s probably quite a few like me out here… If I had $$ I’d probably take actual lessons.. but anyway I’m gonna keep watching and listening to you.. until you say otherwise .. God bless ya man…👍🏼❤️
I love this channel. Could listen to you all day. Talk or play, always makes ma day.
Just thank you for everything you do Tom, can’t say enough how refreshing, fascinating and just amazing it is to see a player like you show what you do to the rest of us, and give us a look into all of these incredible sessions and gigs. Thank you Uncle Larry 🙏🏻
Love the soulful playing!!! Cheers Brother
Preach it Pastor Tommy
Thank you for being such a cool Homeskoole teacher dude! Glad I get to watch these videos you’re putting out. The CTS String Bending contest has been too much fun to watch!
im just now watching and listening to this video - I gotta say Tom, Your channel's mixture of knowledge, and stories/experiences , honesty, and just funny stuff in general is like no other music channel. I just dig the hell out of it. Dude, You'll have a few hundred thousand subscribers soon enough.
Happy to be eating my words after a week of watching everybody else’s kick-ass videos.
100%, totally agree with you on the cell phone thing. First thing I do when I get a phone is turn the ringer off and the volume/vibrate almost off. I want to consult the phone when I need it, not be summoned by a metal slab...
Lucky to here... Damn Right!!!
Man these videos make my day! The best things in life are free they say. We thank you Tom for everything you do to help us all out. 👌 🙏
✌️
Tom , your voice is a balm in a world gone mad .
I'm glad you are able to spend time with your boys. Thanks for the guitariszmo stuff. I always get some great take away from the improve.
Thanks, Uncle Larry. The show was great when it started. It's great now. I look forward to new episodes. Keep it up, please.
Hey uncle Larry awesome opening jam. Just made my day.
Words of wisdom,,,,enjoy the little moments in life,,,,stay to the end,,,,
The world according to uncle Larry! What a gem you are. Thank you for sharing your brilliance!
Great observation about society, music and today life.
Tom you are a treasure. I feel like I just spent a great half hour with a good old friend. Laughed out loud several times and nodded in agreement too. Thanks
What you said about collaboration, was absolute truth!
"collaboration makes things more powerful" . . . yep, strength in numbers is what it's all about. Thanks for putting that out there Tom. More need to be aware.
yur gettin deep there at the end, but you are definitely onto something. Thanks for all the lessons - we are all lifelong learners.
Legend.
I been watching all the contestants for the contest on here. A lot of really talented guys on there. Good luck to the people who participated.
TB bringing back the bend and showing how it's done!
@501chorusecho We are lucky to be here and also lucky to have you.. thank you Tom for sharing your knowledge as always!
Best ever !
I love nothing more than these ones where you really mine through what makes you tick as a creative person and how you apply those aspects to things like the "production ball." As a recovering control freak myself I have thought a lot about the things you have said about being happy to let someone else drive but having to take over if you feel the drift and where the lines are to not cross etc. I don't have shit in the way of answers but I always think a good question is better than any answer. Thanks for sparking some real head scratchers. And for those melodic pickups and whatnot.
A true leader knows when to follow, and when to take the wheel-TB do!
Tom- I worked in live TV for 15 years, traveling all over the world for major sporting events. I completely understand the anxiety about not wanting to go back out on the road. People who aren’t in the biz of traveling don’t understand how we could pass on what everyone assumes is such a glamorous job. I get it man! I took a University job a few miles from my house and it was a great decision for me. Your boys will be glad your home to rock out with them this summer.
Man! Mr TONE BUKOVAC !!!
Thank you for all your honesty, open heart and all the wisdom learned through the trials and errors...
Huge respect not for just being amazing , complete musician but equally a great human being!
You Rock uncle Larry!
Respect 🙏 🤙👏🎶💪
Tom you really seem like a great Team player in the studio videos, and you never seem ungrateful, more just glad to be creating. Plus you freely share a lot of real-world wisdom! Thanks
That tuning was Pissin me off.
Thanks for fixin it. 😂❤
If you can really appreciate what you have, while you have it, you're ahead of the curve.
That intro channeling Leslie West… Tom you’re the best.
What a great hang… like I was right there in your kitchen just shooting the bull… I laughed out loud and couple times… good stuff
! thanks for all the time you take creating and posting… it’s much appreciated and enjoyed. Hope you have a great rest of the week and upcoming weekend! 😎👍
I've watched a bunch of the videos for the contest and I haven't seen one bad one. Great playing and some really good tones.
I'll just pick up your instrument and show you... lol that killed me

The undeniable vibe that is Trip The Witch
Brother I can always learn more from you. You always got a phenomenal sound no matter what you play you put efforthat makes me want to learn more more every day from you. I may be flunking in the class but I'll be still there llearning
I played guitar for many years, and because of life I given up for several times, but because of your videos I get motivation to play again and have fun, thank you Tom!! Love from Portugal!
Could listen to you play for hours
You can play what I hear in my head. Ultimately, I think that's what we would all like to be able to do. Cheers!!!
i've watched most of the string bending videos . some good ones!
Thanks for paying it forward with all the knowledge you give out without expectations of any kind of returns. Better deal than most colleges.
Art - “good” or “bad” or rather if you dig or dont dig - will always be a mirror of the times. I always check into whatever is happening in the moment to get a feel for the vibe of our times, for better or worse
Starship trooper out here taking us to school as always
Hey “Tommy Two Phones “ lol enjoy your videos man keep it up man !!
This brilliant playing reminds me of an animated film I watched as a kid called “Heavy Metal”. So great Tom.
