This is why I admire Uncle Larry and his playing so much; we all know that you have absolutely monster chops, but EVERYTHING that you do is musical and serves the song you’re playing on, which is the biggest compliment you can give someone’s playing in my opinion.
You know, it's just cool to be able to log in and hear amazingly in tune playing, perfect bends, and flowing, emotional, smack-on time-keeping. It is rare to find it at your level, and to get to hear it multiple times a week is priceless and helps to establish in our ears the North Star we are all aiming at.

Hi Tom! These days I do all my bending on a pedal steel. But I think one of the coolest string benders ever was Amos Garrett. Listen to his solo/backup on "Midnight at the Oasis". Love your videos... learn so much!

A guy like this with all the talent in the world, works hard to give people like us, information and entertainment and then we got Facebook warriors that speak negative things to and about him. This guy is obviously a huge talent and seems to be an amazing fella.nothing but respect for Tom !

Really cannot express my gratitude for this channel properly. When the pandemic hit this was the spot. It got me playing and recording myself on a regular basis so I could get over the jitters of that. I would make up songs on the spot and put out there for heaven or hell. Appreciate you taking this time and giving us a glimpse into this world of music.
Hey Tom. Just had surgery on my shattered left wrist this morning (plate + screws to stabilize and straighten). Before the op, I asked the doc how it would affect my guitar playing afterwards. "Depends how good it was before," he says. Wise man. Made me think of you overcoming your hand injury. For all the great skills and riffs you teach us, one of the greatest things you give us is HOPE. Uncle Larry, the more your tunes are stuck in my brain, the happier I am. And watching/hearing you play reminds me, among other things, to try harder to clean up my own playing.
Man Tom, ...bending, timing, perspective, etc. - thank you for taking the time to share your insights. I appreciate every video you've made. I always look forward to them.
You bring back fond memories to me of the first time I heard B.B. King play and sing on radio in 1949 or 50. Still a kid with a paper route, it hit me -- The Blues. Still with me.
Uncle Larry, your note selection over the chord changes is so impeccable, for someone who can literally smoke on the guitar, you always play for the song itself. As always, you are the teacher and we are the students who keep mopping up all the information you give us. You are thee Best!!!! Always entertaining, never boring....CMT should give you your own show.
This was very entertaining. Makes me feel like going home and picking up a guitar when I get home from work. It’s hard for me to feel like playing when I’m whooped but your videos give me a second wind and some motivation.
Love the tone and vibe of that Senn Fullerton. Jeff built me a Pomona Blackguard back 10-12 years ago and then I had him build me a Fullterton back during the pandemic. He's such a great builder. I also have a Bluetron Blueverb that Smitty built me back in 2008. He said you had input on that amp build. Totally appreciate the time and commitment you give to this channel. Thanks for the inspiration!
