Awe man, of all the killer Tone-Talk shows to miss, I screw around and miss this one!! Just watched the whole thing.. Nobody plays like Tom Bukovac or knows more about life in general if I had to guess. Really great episode gents!!
Awesome Guys🎸🎵Wonderful panel of guests with a plethora of knowledge. I love HomeSkoolin. I was disappointed Nobody pulled out any SKYNYRD albums😁🍺I guess I'm just getting old✌🏼🤠☯️
I subscribed after i saw the episode sbout joe walsh....first album i ever bought back in 69sh...anyways sometimes i enjoy like sitten and listening to all the stories kinda like hangin out with a musical friend thst shares allbthese fantastic experiences and enjoys sharing...thanks tom youre one of a kind..
The best RUclips channels are the ones with honest, no BS “hey this is me!” content and that’s why Tom is as popular as he is. Love your stuff Tom...please keep it up!
I've heard Tom can sound like other players exactly. I heard a drummer from a famous band talk about playing with him and if he closed his eyes he would swear the old guitarist, who's parts Tom played, was in the room.

great to see tom blend with everyone at a peer level and talk shop, or naturally move the conversation to a place where everyone is eager to hear what he says and moves the conversation along. he lives it so he knows it. very skillful and naturally gregarious. if he's pissed off you better be ready to debate. 🤟
I like Tom's instrumental pieces, those great chords, and unusual harmonies just speak to me, great stuff. I have also learned a lot from RUclips and the music community.
I watched a video with Tom doing a blindfold comparison of different overdrives including the original Nobles and newer versions. He was able to pick out the original Nobles by ear alone each time. The lesson: the best musicians CAN hear a difference with tone that most of us can't.
Yeah man, been there from almost the start. My older bro left me all the scratched but charming old Genesis albums. That's a lot of what hooked me up...
Thank God for your moodiness, Tom. I have mountains of voice memos of songs I tell myself “I should be working on.” But there are weeks when I’m just going to work and doing my thing-then I jam and it works unprompted. Don’t ever feel you need to do music out of obligation: it’s better when you’re living your life and it comes along the way.
Never watched a Tone-Talk video before, but my 501ChorusEcho subscription brought me here. 👍 I like your vibe and will check out other vids on your channel.
Billy Squier is a legend. Probably the most all around rocker of his time. Songs, playing, singing, and a great live performer. Nowadays he plays with Ringo or spends time in Central Park caring for a plot of the gardens.
Fun show! Thanks guys, good to see Pete drop in as well. Little Tommy is great, have learned so much from him and been entertained a bit with parlor tricks...
Thanks for the great conversation Marc, Dave, and Tom! Always something in every episode. Tom’s description of Nashville players and attitude is spot on. It reminded me of a big recording session I assisted on, in Quebec ‘98. A bus load of gear and Nashville players were brought in for two weeks. To say these guys were serious, is an understatement. On Sunday though, everyone was glued to the TV watching NFL 😅 Have a great weekend guys :) I’ve got my brother here, and his brand new BE OD Deluxe to mess with, this Victoria Day weekend 🔥
Your discussion about creating parts in a couple of takes reminded me of the documentary on the Wrecking Crew. Tom would have been great in that team, too.
Man oh man, You men sure know how to create influential special shows. If you ask me, the longer the better too. I have learned a little something from every single one of your guest, no lie...
Thanks for an amazing discussion gentlemen! Awesome. The one piece of gear I bought and kick myself I sold: a 1 of 100 PRS S2 Mira all korina. Definitely dumb and beyond stupid; but necessary given the economy and situation at the time! It put all Gibson SGs and most Les Pauls to shame! Honorable mention: a circa 2001-2002 Gibson Les Paul Smartwood Elite (the thin one, with replaced Dirty Fingers pickups!). It was also a monster. Felt like an SG thick body without the weight of a typical Les Paul.
Unfortunately I was busy and couldn't watch it live. Just watched it and it was a great episode as usual. Tom was a great guest. Thanks for your efforts Marc & Dave, looking forward to the 100th episode!
Great chat fellas, when I comment on Tom's channel, anything but music cause I don't want him to know how dumb I am, but I can recognise talent. Respect and stay healthy all
Four years younger than you cats, and Animals has been my favorite since high school. I've never heard anyone else proclaim it to be their favorite as well. Crazy that I now see two out of three that agree. Life is strange.
Goodbye Pork Pie Hat - I whistled that tune All Night down in the police cells one night in '83 … don't ask. They told me to shut it … I didn't. By the morning, the whole cop shop was whistling it.
Peter Asher’s productions were amazing with the likes of Jackson Brown, James Taylor, Waddy Wachtel, and Danny Kortchmar, Leland Skylar etc... studio musicians that performed live as well That was a golden age of producing and performance!!
Nashville was (and still is) a center for book publishing and distribution (including sheet music) before recorded music became ubiquitous- so it was only natural to start manufacturing and distributing records using that existing structure, and then an obvious move to start recording them there as well.
He's correct. Road Gigs ARE plentiful with the right talent and management to line them up. I have friends in MULTIPLE bands that tour nationally (Road Gigs) out of Detroit (not Nashville), so yes, it's easy and possible.
It’s nice to know I’m not the only person out there who really doesn’t like the Klon sound. Like Tom I bought one back in the 90’s and hated it. I just wish I’d kept mine a few years so I could have netted more of a profit when I sold it.
Just got the BE 100 deluxe in yesterday and man what a fucking beast!!! Les Paul with a Duncan distortion and this thing is balls to the wall! So much chunk and disgusting filth!
He was known by many names during the long years he wandered: Elves named him Mithrandir, the "Grey Pilgrim", while the men of Arnor named him Gandalf, which became his most common name. He was also known as Incánus (in the south), and Tharkûn to the Dwarves.
Two session guys did that. Back then the rule was never mention you did some ones work for them or the producer would not hire you again, and word would get out and others would stop hiring you.
Awesome show. Love all of you! One thing that most of the best session guys cannot play, though not in demand, is Greek bouzouki style solos. I promise it will make you feel like a beginner. RUclips Zambetas, Chiotis (Hendrix knew him personally), Karantinis, Stergiou, Papadopoulos. Tuned like the bottom 4 of a guitar but in D.
Great show. Was it just me or did Uncle Larry's inner vintage guitar dealer make an appearance when Dave was talking about the hand drilled, hand wired naked amps... ?
if someone doesnt believe tone comes mostly from the hands then think of it this way.. you ever work real hard and your hands get calloused and strong grip, and you play with your thumb and it sounds a lot different than normal? because it plays different, the skin contact is different. we all have different hands. different touches, different everything. period.
Someone mentioned a drink off between Jake E Lee and Reinhold Bogner for the 100th episode. Then bring in Lukather to top it off. You can thank me later!
Awe man, of all the killer Tone-Talk shows to miss, I screw around and miss this one!! Just watched the whole thing..

Such a great dude. Thanks for posting this, guys.
This awsome... Uncle larry talks to us for 12 to 30 minutes, And you get 2 hours, who the hell are you?? 😂😂😂😂God damnit Tom love your follwers🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Tom Bukovac is the man. The definition of cool.
Toms great ... fantastic , melodic player ...but humble ...

Tom’s sense of humor is priceless…And the look on his face as he hugged his little boy. He’s definitely one of the good ones.
Oh my gods, I love Tom Bukovac. I am so happy that he is still doing his YT thing. It's extra, and I love it.
11 March 1968 here also! lol Great show as usual guys...Tom is awesome!

GREETINGS FROM SPAIN..
I loved it when Tom mentioned Robbie Krieger , that was sweet. He also is personable like Lukather.

Kudos for bringing on Tom. He’s the real deal and his subscribers are passionate and dedicated. Always love to hear from Uncle Larry. 😎

Hurray for The Starship Trooper! Always great to see Tom.
I like Tom's instrumental pieces, those great chords, and unusual harmonies just speak to me, great stuff. I have also learned a lot from RUclips and the music community.
Tom has a no bullshit approach that you have to admire.
I love the idea of weeding out the straights and jerks by means of 'Trial by Prog' ... golden
This is pure gold. Thank you so much guys.

Impressive indeed. It's also a question of how each pedal responds and in turn how it feels when you play through it.
He ended up picking the new ODR mini at the end of that show.
Excellent episode, gents! A part 2 would be great sometime in the future. 😎🤘
❤ finding Tom’s channel was like finding my own kind and the super bonus is all that talent he has that I enjoy. Wonderful interview.
No changes in my musical Tom Bukovac LOVE
Yeah man, been there from almost the start. My older bro left me all the scratched but charming old Genesis albums. That's a lot of what hooked me up...
This is one of the coolest shows I’ve seen in a while.!👍🏼
Better Off Dead - Best '80's movie. I want my $2.
Yes!!!!!

Tone Talk one of the best channels on RUclips in my opinion.
Thank so much!!
Ty Tom for the Education on the Strymon Brigadier I now own one and it’s IS the best Analog Delay!!
Great show guys👍many thanks from the UK.
Never heard of Tom before the show. Definitely check out some more stuff! Cool guy and down to earth
Awesome podcast fellas! Tommy is the man. One of my favourite players / human beings on the planet.
Fun show! Thanks guys, good to see Pete drop in as well. Little Tommy is great, have learned so much from him and been entertained a bit with parlor tricks...
This is just so awesome to get to listen to a conversation between these guys talking about one of my favorite things
Again another brilliant show loved ever minute.
Really looking forward to this one guys! Greetings from Ireland ☘️
Love the show!!

Yes, Love the Ken Burns 'Country', 'Jazz', National Parks, The West, all of it pretty much...
Epic. Tom really rocks.
ha, 5 Rolling Rocks in, Bukovac's on the edge of breakup ...
wish I could like this more than once~ !
Your discussion about creating parts in a couple of takes reminded me of the documentary on the Wrecking Crew. Tom would have been great in that team, too.
Awesome show
Man oh man, You men sure know how to create influential special shows. If you ask me, the longer the better too. I have learned a little something from every single one of your guest, no lie...
You guys are Tom’s equivalent of pedals that don’t sound like pedals, the real deal. Thanks for a great episode.
Excellent show 👍👏👏
Saving up for my first Friedman amp :-). Great builder and really nice guy.
Yeah, "Rocks" was my favorite back in the day as well :0)
yeah, yeah . right, cool man. Loved it
It’s 2 a.m. In Wyoming. I’m going to be late for work in the morning. It’s Fun to watch you guys. G’nite!
great interview
Like the pay phone on Little Tommy’s wall

I’m feeling a little to buzzed to answer that question hahah
Great Show - again. Dave's hair is looking the business. Makes me wish I still had some 👴
Oh wow I have ALL of the issues of Chrystal Planet although I haven’t read them yet. I needed to support this/that idea/guys.
New favorite channel, good stuff gents.
Much appreciated!
Unfortunately I was busy and couldn't watch it live. Just watched it and it was a great episode as usual. Tom was a great guest. Thanks for your efforts Marc & Dave, looking forward to the 100th episode!

Very cool interview! So glad i subscribed to this channel!
Tom's RUclips channel is the greatest thing EVA. You MUST sub.
Best EVER!
The question "what do you like?" when you didn't have a prepared answer....😂
"Oh, shit..."
Great show this!

Next purchase is a dirty Shirley unloading a bunch of gear I don’t use anymore and getting one. Very excited
Totally agree. There’s the Beatles and everyone else.
Why this channel has just 20k subs after 5 yrs is criminal. These guys should have a few hundred thousand. They should be making some money off this.
Thanks and we agree! But we really enjoy doing it for you guys.
Uncle tommy!
Haha Tom, just saw one of you old Nobles pedal for sale, $1050.00!
He's correct. Road Gigs ARE plentiful with the right talent and management to line them up. I have friends in MULTIPLE bands that tour nationally (Road Gigs) out of Detroit (not Nashville), so yes, it's easy and possible.

Great meeting, love you guys, but I couldn't listen longer then 10 min because of Uncle Larry laptop mic ambience sound, sorry 😂
Great show as always. Please get Jerry Cantrell on your show. He's a legend and so entertaining, as you well know
❤seeing him on his last tour date on April 1 in our mutual home town of Tacoma Washington, my son got us tickets
Just got the BE 100 deluxe in yesterday and man what a fucking beast!!! Les Paul with a Duncan distortion and this thing is balls to the wall! So much chunk and disgusting filth!

Wow I’m late to the comments but man.
There’s some talent on this show. Small box combo is my next amplifier.
Dave time to build an amp for Tommy Boy.
Dustin is my sales engineer, great guy.
Great show. Was it just me or did Uncle Larry's inner vintage guitar dealer make an appearance when Dave was talking about the hand drilled, hand wired naked amps... ?

I sold my ODR-S not long ago. They often go for $700 or more on Reverb when you can find one.
Someone mentioned a drink off between Jake E Lee and Reinhold Bogner for the 100th episode. Then bring in Lukather to top it off. You can thank me later!
Lukather is on the non alcohol beer so it would be no competition. Lol, Jake would win no hands down.
@@philipbowley8374 Luke would be there for the comedic side of things.
LMAO
Epic!!!
Dean DeLeo would be a great guest.
Damn! Just looked and found out Tom and I have the same birthday, but a decade apart.
I feel so old now ...... Marc, Tom, and Dave you guys all ROCK!
Take a drink every time Tom says Man.
Gotta feel it
