As usual, great work! What a fun vid. My sister worked at Pacific U for 20+ years and my nieces worked at telvet coffee so this ignited some fond memories. Thanks!
Absolutely nothing sounds quite like a stock aircooled beetle! This really make me miss the '73 SuperBeetle I drove (more like limped and patched back together) through high school and college (when I "built" it with a new paint job and a hot 1776cc), and then enjoyed for a few years after moving to Atlanta. And believe me, you haven't known hot until you've sat in Atlanta stop and go traffic in the summer in a red beetle with black vinyl interior! haha Sadly though, I had to leave it behind at my dad's place when I moved to the other side of the continent. Maybe one day I'll be able to get it back on the road and hear the 40 IDFs bark again. :)
Man that does sound hot! It’s not that “southern heat” here in Oregon but man sitting on traffic with no airflow is rough! Love that air cooled muffler sound! Thanks for watching! Nate
What a fun video. My son is a recent transplant to Portland, I've visited several times in the last two years. Now I've got another destination for us to check out. 😎
Nancy sure gets some "attitude" driving the beetle. LOL. Old VWs are always an "adventure". So what else is in your car collection? Do I see a Jetta and a Golf? Take care and best wishes!! Chuck in Kentucky 1973 Westy 1983 Westy
Somehow this comment went to my "Hold for review" folder, not sure why? She loves driving ole Bugster around and definitely has some well deserved attitude while doing so! :) We have a very clean 2002 Jetta and our oldest daughter has a 2003 TDI Beetle and we have another 2004 Jetta one of our twins drives. nate
We too have a blue Beetle, but it's not a cool 67 it's the new Beetle 07. Our vanagon is named the Star Ship Galaxy, so the Beetle is our "Shuttle Craft". With a name like MARRS, pronounced Mars, you just go with it......
Always smokes when you drive it like you stole it, Go Nancy!
Go big or go home!
Right! Like she was the Stig from Top Gear 😆

Wow that’s awesome! Glad we could bring you down memory lane 😁

Awesome to finally see a video on the bug, always seen it in the background. Nothing like the sound of an aircooled ❤️
Yeah we thought it was time as well! It was a fun day.
thanks for watching!

@@ThatBaldwinLife thanks for the great videos, always enjoy watching them 🥳
Great story! Love the bug.
Thanks Riley! It was a fun day trip

Nice. I learned to drive in a '65 bug! My first vehicle was a bajan bug - no heat & living in Oregon by then. 😂
Cheryl Nathan had a yellow Baja bug when we met!
Nice Cheryl! I had a Baja bug as well with no heat. Good times!

Nice. I had a '63 sunroof sedan for a short time while living in Chicago, I miss Gretchen.
That's a good year. We actually looked at '63-'65's first before finding this '67.
thanks for watching!

I bought my orange bug in 97. You haven't changed much ! : )
I too like to take a little adventure in my bug or my Ghia. My Westy does get jealous.
The Bug is a fun day trip for sure!
