The lack of owner reaction makes these vids much less enjoyable
@@kirdot2011 Pl ok my
I been looking for 1 for a long time. No luck.
Polishing and cleaning the broken, rusty car makes absolutely no sense. Also, you clean first from the inside and then to the outside 🫵😩
My father and I fully restored a old 65' beetle about 25 years ago that was found in a barn. Was a great winter project, still have fond memories of those weekends
This is literally my DREAM ! I’m 18 years old and I currently drive a 2019 final edition Volkswagen beetle it is my first car and I absolutely love and adore it to death. I am part of a huge car family my brother has a 2021 Toyota supra and my dad has a I believe 2019 or 2018 golf R both of them having A whole bunch of mods. Personally this is literally my dream car to have an old 1965 Volkswagen beetle and especially even restoring one I can’t even imagine how fun that was 😩🥹💗
Fantastic year model. I had a ‘65 about 20 years ago. My dad would help me work of them as well. You’re right about those memories and there ain’t nothing like working on an old beetle. You remember it forever

If the owner has the means I would totally restore it. There is only one like it in the world. To have a car that every time you look at it reminds you of your dad is pretty awesome. It’s not that far gone. Parts are readily available so it won’t be bad at all to restore.
Hope the owner reads this🥺
I totally agree!
The floor seems very rusty. Dont you think that the chassis is too rusty to be repaired?
@@GL43DR I would really have to see it, it’s a big job but you could replace parts of the pan. Would need a really good inspection. I wish the owner the best of luck with it.
@@GL43DR Pans ate cheap. Besides, these pans are in great shape. They can be saved.
I would restore it, can’t replace memories with changing it to something else. There are enough dune buggies out there for sale if she really wants one.
i agree!
Same here. We need to keep these beauties around not butcher them
Agreed I don't mind the modified ones in the sense of upgraded engines and additional electronics like power steering, subtle bits where the outershell is basically untouched.
The VW beetle and mini cooper are the two cars I'd love that arent supers or screen cars like the delorean, 82/83 Trans-am
RT!
Not just what you said but there isn't much wrong with it. The floors looked really great. It's a great start to a restore. I love dune buggies and rail buggies but she has one great looking VW to restore.
I would definitely restore. I'm doing that with my '70 beetle, and after watching this I now have a major motivation itch to get some polish and steel wool, thanks guys!
Good luck 👍
Agreed
Bumblebee looking neat with that fresh new detailing job.
The clay buffer on the iron remover in the back was awesome. I have never seen another detailer do that. Great job on that dent and love the new studio/shop!
That´s got to be a good candidate for a full restoration. From what I could see, there was not too much rust, and the dented body parts should come out just fine. Great job! And good luck to the new owner..
I would definitely restore it. Something about a yellow beetle is just awesome!
OMG, congratulations 🎉 on the new shop! I'm so happy for you guys! It looks great, and the lighting is so much better! I can't wait to see the full tour when it's ready! Also this bug turned out super cute, that yellow really glows!
That car rocks! Y’all do an amazing job. Definitely would restore it!
nice nickname !! sir my favourite thing to cook is barbecue ribs ! i use Rib rub mesquit wood chiips i soak 20minutes in a cup i put on the wood chips immidatly before i cook ! yumyum
I had a car just like this in college. Brings back memories.
I love watching you're videos! Some of the cars that come in look like that's the end for them but then you begin to see the life and potential left in them throughout the process! Thank you. I would love to see a where are they now series.
I would definitely keep it the way it is.
It’s amazing what PDR guys can do these days with glue tabs.
I’m pretty sure an entire interior can be replaced with reproduction parts for beatles
Except in the interior, you can see that it's original color is "Diamond Blue", which is a *_stunning_* color on a Beetle.
And the respray is horrible. So what would you be trying to save?
@@bellwethertrucking3650 the yellow beetle that her dad brought for her twice is what would be worth saving
Great work, what an impressive transformation! If it were mine I'd probably get it sorted mechanically, sort out the worst of the dents, replace the missing parts (eg running boards) and run it as-is!
If my Dad got it for me, I would 100% restore it to showroom condition. Love your videos Brent 👍🇬🇧
My dad is a life long VW tech. He built me this extract car and gave it to me at 16 years old. My husband, when I was 19 asked me to sell it in 1995. Two years ago 2022 (27 years later)I bought it back from the guy I sold it to. It was still titled in my name. I am currently restoring it myself and hope to have it ready this august. My dad is dying of ALS and he wants me to bring my car from Tennessee(where I live) to North west Arkansas this coming August for a VW show that he attends every year with his 1971 type 3 fast back. I’m trying to hard to get it done. I’ve sold stuff on eBay to buy and replace everything needed. I really got to learn to paint now. lol.
Love your work, boys! Fascinating how you bring cars back to life!
What would I do with it? Hmmm.
Being a classic car lover, I would invest $ to complete the reno and sell it to a collector. But I would want to show your video as part of the sale / car history.
apesar do abandono está bem inteiro o velho fusca, adorei o volante dele, adoraria ter um volante desses pra por no fusca 1977 aqui no Brasil.
*I'm Brazilian, and I signed up right away! wonderful to see you bringing these iconic cars to life! Happy birthday ! Big hug 🙋🏻♂️🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷*
I'm really happy to see beetle getting love it deserve. :)
I’d get the dents dealt with , leave the beautiful patina !!! And get it running and driving
I’ve been wanting to get a beetle for a while but I already daily an 85 vette for two years so getting something even older to take the load off probably isn’t a smart decision 😂
Yes, I would restore it! It was a gift from her father, losing a close loved one doesn't measure if it's worth it or not. Or change it to something different, just my opinion.
Amazing result already. Would keep it like this, too many perfect cars on the road already in addition to the memories. Great job guys😎. Greatings from the Netherlands
Brought me back...
I worked on bugs and vans for 20+ years...
Nice 70!
Must have been parked in an amazing location to stay so rust free!
I figured it was a 70. I had one this same year and color and recognized it. Love the old air cooled stuff 👍
Malaysians: 💀
Volkswagen Kuning! Karak 💀💀💀
Great vid. The car looks amazing, great job cleaning it up! Would 100 percent restore it to its original glory hands down.
She looks absolutely stunning! What a beautiful car. Incredible job, guys.
I definitely have it restored full. I am a big fan of VW Wish they still build them. You cleaned the car inside and out perfectly. Great Job!!@
❤memories of his father are priceless.. That's why salute to the hardwork you put in to restore this bettle vw.. ❤
I loved watch this kinds of detailing videos in old cars keep good work guys thanks for share.
I'm a partial paraplegic veteran from Hardin County Ohio. I love watching your channel. I've watched every single one of your videos. (What else am I going to do all day?) There is something so satisfying about what you do. Thank you for sharing. And if your ever in the area, I have a 67 Mustang that could use a good buffing.....😉
hey guys, loving your videos!. I would defiantly love to see a tour of your new shop when your ready/done!. Keep up the great work!.
Cute little ‘72. What a great find, the floors look amazing.
Great job man !
Great video, guys. I would honor my father by restoring it to the condition as originally purchased.
Bro full restoration, that thing is epic for just sittin in the woods for years. You guys are freakin magicians.
This is the beetle from Once upon a Time!!!🤩🤩
I love this car❤❤❤
Def restore it. It looks pretty solid overall. Great job as always guys!
Love this detail, keep up the amazing work guys
Thank you Jessica!
Definitely restore it, even the floor pans look pretty decent and those are always the first to get rust holes.
I like it when you also work on the interior of cars!👍🏿
Great job WD detailing 👍enjoyed the whole video
My first car was a 1973 Beetle in yellow, it took me 3 weeks after passing my driving test some 40 years ago to find one within my then low budget and I loved that car. Easy to work on, quirky and a great community. I had plans to either re-chrome or de-chrome and lower it when I had the money. 2 years later a series of circumstances meant I took the bag of sand from under the hood and was on my way to get some fuel when there was a sudden storm and a combination of surface water and no weight in the front meant a long aquaplane, gathering speed and a freak impact between a rear wheel and the corner of a concrete crash barrier snapped the chassis at a point where it could not be sleeved. I couldn't afford another so I had to sell it as a parts car. Strangely enough I got more than I paid. I would so be wanting to restore the one in the video and go on another bug run.
Yes! I want to see it when its completely done! This is the same car I bought as my first car too! 74 super beetle. Loved it. I cried when I sold it.
I definitely would restore it. Love the dent removal!
A shop tour would be great ti see.
As from what I know these engines are almost undisctructable! Restore, for sure! Good video!
RESTORE AS IT IS!! My mom had a yellow one when I was about 8 years old in the 70’s. She also had had a blue one. I just recently got one to restore, which has it is drivable, but will need painted. Great memories riding behind the back seat.
I would do a full restoration. The first car I owned was a 1969 VW. The color was British Racing Green. I fully optioned it out including a manual Sun roof, wood sport steering wheel, sport shifter, Blaupunkt AM, FM, SW radio, mud flaps, chrome rear quarter panel protectors, flared exhaust tips, bumper guards, door edge guards and shoulder harnesses. I’ll never forget the price, $1,940.00 delivered. It’s the only car I ever really loved. Over 180,000 miles in almost 11 years of ownership and with the exception of, I think three or four valve repairs no other issues. 53 horsepower with a maximum cruising speed of 78 MPH. I’ve regretted selling it since that day in the spring of 1980.
Keep and restore. Your hard work is impressive. Greetings from Australia.
Great Job ! Definitely restore this Beetle !!
Not a huge fan of detailing but y’all seem like such great dudes, you definitely got my sub💗👍
Oh wow I'm here early for one of your videos! I'd get it cleaned up good and running. Then just make it a daily driver. I've only been subscribed to your channel about a week and I'm totally hooked. You guys do amazing work!
I would also restore it. It's a great project. You can still find good spare parts (new and used).
I'm impressed that the dash had no scratch on it or damage from the sun, and the bumpers were in such a great shape. It's worth it.
Nice work guys
as always a great video. I believe that washing and cleaning the beetle is the first step in resuscitation. And it doesn't even look that bad. So I would definitely restore it again !!! It is definitely a good investment! My first car was a VW Beetle 1965 !!!
hello, i'm david from germany. I think it's great that you're giving old cars a new chance. I would leave the body in its optical condition and conserve it. I would fix the tescchnik and keep it as it was.
"The engine is probably seized."
Mustie1: "Hold my beer."
Definitely restore it. I love beetles, especially yellow ones because there’s one in my town that I’ve been wanting to buy and restore
Still got my Renault R19 16v from 92...fine to See this Car in my Life..Till today and many years to come.😊 ❤❤.😊😊😊
I resrore classic VW's for a living and this video was very impressive! I would love to get ahold of some of those cleaning products you guys have. Very good job! This beetle looks to actually be in not that bad of a shape and can easily be restored. Or just rock it the way it is with new interior! But it is definitely worth saving.
You popping the roof dent out was definitely reminiscent of fonzie and the jukebox 😂
I would definitely restore and drive it. Love the old Beetles in yellow
The clean alone is entertaining 👍
First, nice clean up! My Father owned a 1973 super beetle some 40+ years ago. It was even yellow. I have never owned a beetle and frankly it is literally my dream car. All of this said, I would resto mod it. Street stance, with chrome wheels and caps, an 1835cc engine and yellow just like my Father's.
A full car tour I would love to see. This car reminds me of one of the cars my father owned. His was a 1965 model, and it was the 1300 which was what he had. This car takes me back to the days when he was your age. He drove it to Sandy's fast food and in those days, a large hamburger was only 15 cents! His did have the black steering wheel. His was one of the first cars to come with seatbelts standard.
Very good job!
I had a Sunflower Yellow Bug in high school back in the late 70's.
So cool!
@@WDDetailing Stauffer has a 500 hp wrx that hasnt been cleaned in 10 yrs.
It deserves to be fully and properly restored, VWs have a rich and long history around the world.
There is just something eternally lovable about a bug! I vote to restore it.
I would probably sand off the exterior paint, and then paint it to the color seen in the door jams, which I assume is likely the original color. Then, I would have to assume that the engine is completely shot, so I would find an engine to swap in to it, and continue to restore the rest of the vehicle. This vehicle definitely needs to see the road again, whether on its original powertrain, or a donor. Great satisfying detail, keep up the great content!
I'm restoring my 1972 of similar color. IMHO go stock. They are wonderful to drive as intended. ✌️😃 Yes! Please show the results!
Great Transformation!!! I would restore to original condition and color.
Awesome work, aside from the dent in the roof (I would get that sorted) I love the patina on it. Personally I'd keep it like that, it is more unique and would be a wonderful reminder of your late father. There are plenty of buggys out there if that's what you want want, this one has character.
Simply renovating.
Hi WD Detailing I love your channel and and I love your music and I love all of your car detailing videos
Vintage bugs are worth money restored but this is a sentimental project and that goes farther. This restoration will take time and a considerable amount of money. It’s worth it in my opinion, my first car was a 1974 Beatle. My neighbor at the time was a VW mechanic.
Restore it !! They are like gold now!! Holding their value !!
I’ve been looking for one forever! I’m jealous!
wow great job cleaning up this nice car !
Wow, great to see bumblebee having a bath
always enjoy your content over other youtubers with fancy garages and lighting!
Thank you so much! We do what we can :)
I'd love to see a video of your new shop!
Nice clean car man. Great Job
I would definitely restore it . Nice work on the beetle , by the way
That bug is good enough to be restored. Inside and outside, all it needs is some body work , a paint job, and some interior work, and it's good to go. I wish I still had mine
Definitely worthy of a restore!
well done guys washed the car well) my eyes are happy 😁 waiting for more videos like this you literally restored the car
Thank you! We have plenty more to come
Schön das ihr euch so viel Mühe gemacht habt
Dang what a find!! 😳👏🏼
Waiting on another SICK Mario Porsche Barn Find 👀
I loved my little bug. Baby blue and white interior......what I wouldn't give to have her back!
14:13 you killed spiderman
Wow! So impressed. please do more older vehicle videos.
I would get it mechanically sound and running. But I wouldn't change a thing. Love the patina and all the dents. Be a fun little commuter
my grandmother recently bought a 2013 volkswagen beetle convertible in baby blue with a black top.
Restore! Definitely has a lot of great potential
She looks so beautiful you guys did awesome job! I would restored it again VW bugs are the best cars ever made.
I would restore it. I had a 1967 the same colour as the inside of this one. It was a great little car! I never drove it enough, and sold it to a student who used it for college.
67 is a good year. Very strange one-off design decisions that year 🤔
Very satisfying
Hi Guys - Can you list the steps for cleaning. I've got a similar bay window and I like the results you got.
