That cop in the first incident was so caring and very professional..
I saw a homeless guy get arrested for peeing behind a dumpster while waiting outside of a church waiting for a free dinner he had to go & the church wouldn't let him in because it wasn't time to open the door

The church could have certainly let him in, but having volunteered at a soup kitchen for years, I fully understand why the doors are locked until meal service.

What's sad is alcohol withdrawals can kill someone fairly quickly. Jails and prisons should have something they give ppl if they are staying a while so they don't go thru withdrawals. They can cause heart attacks and bad seizures depending on how bad they are on whatever they are on. Withdrawals are not something to be played around with or taken lightly.
Glad you commented, all those nurses in the jail probably wouldn’t have any idea how alcohol withdraw works otherwise
@Dylan Coulson I'm glad I commented too because I've been witness to it 3 times in my life, my mother, brother then my father all which passed away so my comment wasn't meant to teach anyone anything, it's just a comment because I've lived thru the horror and pain of watching someone die from alcohol withdrawals. Thank you for your reply, I dont think I myself would've survived without it tbh...

I wouldn't work in law enforcement for any amount of money. I'm amazed at how they can remain calm and respectful - like Judge Dorrow was to The Waukesha Christmas Parade Murderer. They deserve a lot of credit for being able to keep their emotions in check and do their job with integrity. And I sympathize with those who deal with this sort of thing daily for years and then finally just can't take it anymore and their frustration - or maybe disgust - explodes.
Cops are trained just like any other profession and the employees that work in it. I am a teacher which requires a lot of patience and I will tell you it is not the easiest job. But I love it!!

Yearly, more people die from alcohol then ALL other substances combined; yet, we don’t call it an “epidemic” like we do opioids. That man is killing a clearly witty brain. Many alcoholics are/were wonderful people with demonic levels of addiction issues. My Ma died at 48 from alcoholism. Multiple rehabs, multiple therapies, nothing worked. Not even having four kids. Alcohol addiction is horrific
Nothing is done about opioids either. The companies making them and alcohol pay millions in legal bribes to the congressperson of choice. They would give us a federal medical cannabis law to substitute for alcohol and opioids if they cared.

Reminds me of some of the drunk homeless back in the big city I lived in. They where honestly some of the nicer homeless compared to straight junk heads, but both will still get you tangled with the law. Not casting judgement as I was one of those hobos there too.
