My brother took going to jail really bad. He refused all offers of food and drink. He spat and swore at anyone that came near him, smeared the wall with his own feces. After that, we never played monopoly with him again.

It would save time but they have to just incase your story changes from when they were drunk to sober.
Because not all of them are completely incapable of answering questions & some of the stuff they ask is actually important - like medical conditions, medications, mental health issues and suicidal thoughts

I think that man had more of an intoxication issue going on. I also, based on the small sample size we had of this guy, wouldn't necessarily say he fixates on religious doctrine or is "religious" - anyone can chant "help me Jesus". He was drunk and calling out to Jesus. I have seen videos of criminals who have committed horrible acts doing the same thing when being arrested. We saw a five and a half minute video which he was only featured in about three and a half minutes of it.

This guy has a lotta patience, I couldn't deal with mentally ill people 40 hours+ a week.
i worked at a hospital doing security and dealt exclusively with mentally ill people after a while you just get numb to it, either they listen to what you ask and do it or you force compliance, i always went with the ask tell make method i ask them then i tell them then i force them either way theyre going to do it

Mr. Oliver demonstrates more kindness and professionalism than most of these people deserve and more than I could maintain after a week of this. What a great officer he is doing a job that must exact a huge price day after day.
The chef is exactly right though. This country DOES go by how much money you make as to who goes to jail or not. Unfortunately for him, $15.00 an hour he brags about gets you a life sentence in the slammer, but it does work perfectly for politicians and corporate C.E.O.'s!
Can you imagine dealing with this 5 days a week for 8 hours a day?
How can you watch this video and not admire that officer? How many people could do his job with his class, his expertise and not come out, angry or bitter or in some negative way changed in how you deal with people. Hats off to police officers of this caliber. Of course you have the arrogant, ignorant, and self righteous academians (who I spent my entire career with as one myself) who have an advanced degree in a tiny little specific area of interest without having a clue what it’s like to do this job night after night after night. May they have little influence over our greater society and may the society they wish upon us only happen to them. Hats off to the great men and women in blue like this officer.
He comes across okay on camera but that's on camera and will know more if he keeps his attitude up to 5 10 20 years cuz you know to burn out right is high in this job and it can cause even the best people to become mean and hostile themselves. He's just a youngster getting started. But so far so good.

They completely misunderstood what he was saying. His attorney was Jesús Martinez and he was calling out for his help. Unfortunately Mr. Martinez was locked up in the adjoining cell, thus unable to render any assistance.
This officer ran through many issues some people may have when being processed for whatever actions caused the arrest such as gang related issues which have recently comne to life when putting the wrong person in with the wrong affiliations in prison I think you were great and wonderful job.

How that guy ran is like how my nephews and nieces run when they raid the freezer before dinner with their parents running in quick pursuit. The way they lifted him off the wall and then lifted him up into the cell was 101% how they do it with their kids. Minus shoving them into their rooms and handcuffing them while three other parents jump in. They don’t do that.
