“everyone needs to speak out” is a hard arguement bc for all we know, they HAVE. when you have that power, you have a way of silencing those without power
After what I've been through and seen how court and police handle abuse, I would NEVER come forward again and I can't blame any victim for not speaking up. It only made things worse and no one helped me.
And tbh because of how abusers with power act it's not even worth speaking out, you get punished for your truth, when your abuser can just take your medical records no questions asked there's very little hope for anything other than a messy exit strategy where there's no justice served & your life is essentially ruined but you at least remain alive away from the abuser, or "ending things amicably" as the P Diddy lawsuit put it.

With his ego, he probably also wanted a diddy biography made. He was proud of the horrible things he did. Diddy deserves to have the book thrown at him.
Yeah 100%. If you do it no one will know. If you film it you can control the person for the rest of their lives unless they willingly admit it and live with the shame.
The situation with Cassie terrifies me. What do you do? Sure you can leave but he could target your family to get you back. Stay and be tortured for the rest of your life. Tell and same result. Just stuck. The only thing I can think of is to completely go off the grid so goons won’t find you or your family. Change name and face living in fear of when. Sadly a lot of ppl in Cassie's situation will just kill themselves or their abuser if they have enough courage/snap, or the abuser will kill them. Cassie is incredibly strong but also extremely lucky that she was able to escape. I wouldn't be surprised if Cassie has some kind of government protection and was propositioned by them to start this lawsuit.

41:58 My sister spoke up after being groped at a party, mainly because the guy went on to r*pe a freshman that very same night and she knew he was going into a field where he’d have access to vulnerable people. She was treated horribly by pretty much everyone involved including the r*pe victim, who feared receiving the same social exclusion. Luckily my sister was going to transfer anyway (was a major upgrade; way better campus culture where she went) and is tough enough to take it. There were consequences for the assaulter too. He lost his place at a prestigious professional school (being vague for privacy) and will therefore no longer be exposed to vulnerable people as an authority figure in the future. Had she not spoken up, bad things likely would have happened to others. But that’s why folks don’t speak up. She had an absolutely amazing amount of evidence, yet it made her a near pariah.
I saw someone refer to her as “the b*tch who ruined so-and-so’s life” like he wasn’t a r*pist. It’s utterly disgusting. (Idk if she saw that comment as I saw it on social media, but I know she heard others saying the same.)
People are weak AF and your sister is better for not having those weak two faced people in her life. Better to have 3 real people in your life than 100 fakes.

I’m old enough to remember that Cassie was a rising star with so much talent and appeal, and then she disappeared from music after she got with Diddy. I always felt like that undermined her, for some reason, but never imagined all of this smh.
I was 11 when 'Me & U' was released (2006). I admired her so much for so many years. I did wonder from time to time what happened to her, but there was a huge revolving door of talent back then and I was too young to ever think far enough to question anything. Cassie deserved so much better.
Wdym, back then? Still happens, what do you call Drill Rap, when they rap about killing specific individuals in specific gangs, and using exact dates and times. That's only one example of it.

You know, there's a lot of talk in hip hop right now about J Cole ruining his legacy, but one thing he can never be shamed for is swinging on Diddy. Forever a legend for that shit.
And now he is responsible for Tupac's death, which is even crazier to put into perspective on the complexity on how genuinely of an awful human being this man is.
It’s so true that speaking up about things like this back in the early 90s would have led to u being shunned. Dee Barnes spoke up about Dr Dre assaulting her and was ostracised by the media because of it. Nobody wanted to work with her for fear they’d loose connections; SHE was blacklisted because the man who viciously beat her was a hot commodity in the industry at the time
People who don't understand why people wouldn't tell in these situations haven't been around people like this and it shows. The "snitching" rule isn't really about telling on people, it's about the fact that the people you are telling on are often involved or connected with people who commit heinous crimes. If you don't want to be involved in criminal activity, you typically avoid criminals and that includes telling on people who commit crimes. If I witnessed someone commit murder, what would make me think I wouldn't be next? The cops can't really keep people safe in situations where people hold that kind of power, historically speaking. Not everyone is in a position where they can afford to risk their lives, including victims.
This is true, but you can't be a victim your whole life. People need to have strength and backbone at some point in their lives in order to self-actualize. And if something you disagree with is happening right in front of you, and you do nothing to prevent it, then you're letting yourself down. If some a-hole thinks they can get away with crimes, for example, by intimidating you, then my suggestion wouldn't be to roll over, because then they know they've got you and can keep taking advantage of you. Instead, I'd say you should stand up to them even when there is danger because not only is that actual bravery but how you become a confident, strong person and show them you aren't so easily intimidated imo. Also, probably be armed when you do that... you know, obviously be smart when confronting known criminals. Picking your battles is important as well, since if it's a life-threatening scenario, and real life isn't a movie, you do have to consider your own safety first, but where we differ, is that I don't think that means you can't stand up to people doing bad things, just like I said, do it smartly.
@@thekamotodragon I agree with most of what you said, self-actualization is a very important part of developing into a confident and self-sufficient person. The part I disagree on is whether most people can actually stand up to life-threatening circumstances. I think it gets played out in movies a lot, but having "one life to live" sticks in a lot of people's minds. There's a certain level of bravery that goes into that, but standing up to people who will or can end your life is beyond most individuals. I believe that humans are the bravest when we think we have other things to live for. Like people standing up to bears or surviving in the wilderness for longer than expected during accidents, etc. The will to live is so strong that it helps people persevere through some pretty dark stuff. So I think that works against a lot of people when their life is being threatened. Do you think there's a line we can all walk where the average person can stand up for others at risk for their own safety? Does martyrdom work when no one knows who you are?

Word on the street is, Diddy was abused himself by the ceo of his company when he was young. He had 2 bosses and one of them was VERY old. Even the other one was way older than him. Based on how soon Diddy became successful and the amount of resources he got from his company (given diddy's normal background), people claim that he was definitely giving out s@xual favors to both his bosses. Victim turning into abusers themselves is pretty common. Most of the time these victims become even worse than their abusers. But these are just allegations. Personally i think there's some truth to it.
Another good quote for this would be, "Evil, I think, is the absence of empathy." We're seeing the horrors that happened behind the scenes, years ago, now due to evidence. But what is happening right now? To your favorite musicians, actors, and online personalities? Or worse--what are they doing to others that destroys the image you have of them? GHB is what people call "Date R@pe Drug" as if you take enough it's paralytic. Its also used recreationally and called "Liquid Ecstasy" but Diddy already had molly and blow i doubt that's why he had it. It also can be used as a PED for bodybuilders. Yep, it's insane, but many individuals, like 50 cent, openly talked about "allegations" and his weird behaviour! But I guess P always managed to silence or bribe those directly involved, so only rumours stayed
So, i think an important piece of context that they were missing is that Diddy was a scary person to people before he was big in the industry. Diddy's dad was a real gangster, like a character in American Gangster is him. Diddy came from serious powerful crime family, it's not just the people's careers that they are afraid of losing.
Some rappers are all talk. They might have dabbled in petty crimes, but nothing too serious, but when they are famous they are law abiding. People like Jay Z, Diddy are low life scumbags. I can't wait until they dish on Jay Z. He is probably worse.

I believe GHB is the acronym for the "date rape" drug. Gamma-Hydroxybutyric acid. It's a nervous system depressant - you know how people say they felt like the couldn't move while being moderately aware (depending on level of intoxication). Was originally meant to be used as an anaesthetic.
@@ismailasaine5454 I suppose in a terrifying way it's a very real world sleep paralysis but my explanation isn't completely flawless... I say "moderately aware" but it depends on the amount the person had in their system/level of intox, and I'm basing that on cases with GHB where the victim remembers some of the events leading up to the assault but not everyone remembers - it does have side effects; amnesia, drowsiness if not deep sleep, slows heart rate and breathing with high risks of choking, convulsions.

Jodeci (pronounced Jo-de-see) might be more popular with kids who grew up with hiphop fans in the 90s. My mom loved her come Jodeci. It's just so wild to hear that members of one of my mom's favorite singers was complicit in sexual assault and abuse. And that's all the way back in the 90s. How many more popular R&B singers turned a blind eye to Diddy's crimes and shenanigans? How many really great singers have we been robbed of because this man assaulted and threatened them? I had loved Cassis on debut, but I can’t name another song of her's after "Me and You."
I've said it before and I'll say it again, celebrities and CEO are more likely to get away with ANY crime just because they're public figures. This is to singers, youtubers, streamer, musicians etc...

Most CEO's dont have near as much power and influence compared to many celebreties that have been on a high horse for decades! Truth be told, alot of this shit seems to be Hollywood related where extreme sums of money change hands on daily basis! Slowly but steadily it starts to appear that, all of these conspiracy theories about serious perverce activities amongst celebrety elites is not a theory at all but plain truth. Thing is, if most of the celebreties knew about these activities they are complicit in them if they didnt report it and whats worce, it looks like many of them actively took part in these activities. What we got now, Weinstein, Epstein and now Diddy! Influencial characters known by every damn celebrety out there for a loooong time and all you hear is silence? Sometimes a story is just so absurdly fucked up I just have to laugh, because the only other option is to curl up in the fetal position. For me it’s an automatic defense mechanism. Don’t tell me you’ve never heard of someone laughing at a loved ones funeral? Maybe Wendigoon is a sadistic fuck idk but it’s not unheard of for people to laugh in response to traumatic news or events. Hey @penguinz0 , really liked the video, just want to point out that members of Jodeci at the time in 1990 were 17, 19, and 20 years old. So, it's understandable why one of them, especially the 17 year old, may have felt threatened by Diddy at the time and this influenced their failure to report. The old quote, “The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing” has a modern counterpoint that is likely the full mentality of the people who could have stood up and reported these things but didn't: "Snitches get stitches." It's super-prevalent in the US. Nobody cares enough about preventing abuse, only about not being seen as a snitch.
Nobody says "snitches get stitches" outside of middle school. It's far more likely "I could lose my job." He might have someone blow up my car, burn my house down, poison my dog, etc. And he might have me blacklisted. And that applies to the "good" people who wanted to speak up, but convinced themselves not to. For everyone else, including the other celebs that knew about it, they probably told themselves it's just how it is.
bro snitching is if someone steals a watch and says something. the fact that "don't tell anyone i sexually assaulted 4 girls, 10 minors, and a few dudes!" is an okay secret to keep in the entertainment industry is wild. i know power and greed is a corruptive mistress, it just sucks so much how paralyzed these victims are, and how rampant stockholm syndrome is and personality disorders developed. even after whatever justice happens, there's still gonna be apologists and idiots keeping the trauma alive for the victims.
@necrocertiit really depends on the context. With domestic abuse, it's not "snitches get stitches" it's, if the abused refuses to press charges, all you've done is ruffle feathers. With a scenario like this, it's losing out on your life's goal. It has nothing to do with snitches get stitches. Believe it or not, every situation is unique. I wouldn't snitch on a person shoplifting diapers or food. Not because "snitches get stitches" but because I'm not a monster.
The sad thing is, is that almost every old school artist-actor-director etc have done some scummy shit and became/stayed famous none the less. The whole industry is just so goddamn corrupt its actual insanity
Nah, you can't say that. Most, the actual majority, fucked off and ended up with normal lives. Some worked it into a good thing after the spotlight, some stayed in the spotlight, and in those groups there are good and bad people. saying 'almost every' is a blanket that you shouldn't throw.
@nesamdoom all of these actors/celebrities know each other. How many of them were well aware of the actions of these people and could have done something about it, but chose not to because they wanted to keep their fame and money? Like Meryl Streep pretending she had no idea what Harvey Weinstein was up to despite being his closest friend and everyone else in the industry knowing. These are all morally bankrupt people if they chose to stay in the industry.
Back in the 90s theres no way anyone was going to tell on Diddy. Diddy was one of several gatekeeper behind closed doors. He had already been in industry for a long time back then in the 90s and he has always been tied up in either money and power or gangs, drugs and violence. Think about who his dad was. He was untouchable for a long time because his money bought all yes men which is why he got away with everything for so long.
They should make an indie game about being a hot young rapper trapped in Diddy's house and the only way to get out is going deeper into his house, meanwhile ghosts of dead artists try to help you out. You can only use pepper spray and crucifixes to get away from Diddy and his cult members.
This bugged me so much. Like I get that it's important to get this information out there especially to people who may not be aware of the entire situation but it felt disrespectful towards Cassie, especially when her name is said right other times in the video.
When I found out his properties were getting raided I looked him up and found a list of public accusations and charges dating back to the beginning of his career. It was abhorrent.
19:36 Can we please not do victim blaming. There are good reasons to not go against a multi billionaire besides wanting to push the own career. Most victims were obviously too traumatized to speak up, and it's not like they had a chance against a celeb with the best lawyers in court. Worst case his fanbase will lynch mob them.
And he out here blowing up peoples cars and supposedly killed pac and they said sumn abt him assassinating rivals. This a guy that’s hard to f with even if u want to
I try to see both sides sure he could car bomb you and assassinate tons of people. But he could also continue to sexually assault people and do all these things, i wouldn’t even call it victim blaming, just something needs to be done and someone has to do it if they have proof. And obviously the victims would have proof or at least something to get them investigated. I get what you’re saying totally, but you gotta start somewhere and not telling anyone isn’t doing anything. I see both sides, it’s either death possibly, not being famous like that matters (I’m not famous), or this continues to happen to more and more people, men, woman, and underaged people, possibly children. What would you do? I hope I’d say something. Retrospect is insane.

"Roofies" used to refer to rohypnol, an ultra potent, rapid onset benzodiazepine that was pulled from the market decades ago. "Being roofied" is now a sort of umbrella term for a drink adulterated with a substance meant to induce extreme intoxication, disorientation, amnesia, loss of consciousness, etc. As real rohypnol is extremely difficult to procure, often GHB or grey/black market benzo analogs are used. With GHB (and many illicit benzos)being a liquid, a pervert can spike a drink quickly, as there are no pills or powders to dissolve. If the victim is already intoxicated, it's possible they can't tell if their drink has been spiked. GHB/it's metabolites have an extremely short half life, and can't be detected in a tox screen after 6 hours. Insidious stuff. Never leave a drink unattended, keep an eye on your bartender, situational awareness, all of that.
@@cigareteking1882In very small, extremely controlled doses, its like having drank 10+ beers with no negatives. No hang over, no sickness, none of it. Just the fun tipsy part of being drunk. My sister spoke up after being groped at a party, mainly because the guy went on to r*pe a freshman that very same night and she knew he was going into a field where he’d have access to vulnerable people.

How many more popular R&B singers turned a blind eye to Diddy's crimes and shenanigans? How many really great singers have we been robbed of because this man assaulted and threatened them? I dont know about CEO's. It all depends of what kind of company you are talking about.
Some have come out and ''said'' something about this with very limited wording and by doing that they have literally been crucified or... excommunicated. Then there are some that choose to not stay in Hollywood bringing up some lame ass excuses why they chose to do so. I think that they actually know whats going on and thats why they dont stay there for too long but, their careers are more important to them and they cant be bothered with risking it by sheding some light on this hellhole!
Public figures? Nah they are part of THE CLUB. It's gonna be a nice wake up for alot of people seeing how many other high ranked "people" are doing these demonic things

The old quote, “The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing” has a modern counterpoint that is likely the full mentality of the people who could have stood up and reported these things but didn't: "Snitches get stitches."
It's super-prevalent in the US. Nobody cares enough about preventing abuse, only about not being seen as a snitch.
your mixing up things only a really confused man would mix up. That was the most du mb comment i saw this year.
If they were good men they would have stood up? Therefore the quote doesn't make sense imo.

Yeah, it's really insensitive. One of the main reasons I stopped watching their videos
They are making light of the situation, sitting down and talking about these situations extremely seriously isn't something that is enjoyable for anybody. Yes they are serious situations, yes they do believe that they are NOT good situations or justified. But in no way do they need to be 100% serious all the time, they are allowed to make jokes at the persons expense for the reason of lightening the mood.
@@someguynamedmax6849 there's a way to tastefully lift the mood, and they didn't do that. Not every situation should be made light of, actually.
