I am VERY white so I often have the opposite problem with tinted sunscreens where they are too dark, too orange, etc. I bought this sunscreen based on your recommendation. I didn’t have high hopes because the tint seemed too deep on the website, but was pleasantly surprised at how well it worked out. My wife kept giving me complements all day. Thanks for the recommendation!!
I agree with you Ramon, I am about your skin tone. I love love love the texture, which is great because having sensitive skin and living in Utah, I need a mineral sunscreen I can wear every day and reapply multiple times without irritating my skin. However, now that summer is ramping up, I've found that I'm already starting to get too dark for the tint. I think this product is new. Hopefully they come out with a darker tint option in the future!

I LOOOOOVE SunBum sunscreen. I have very sensitive skin so I like it bc it’s fine for my skin and I don’t flare up and it smells good but it does leave a cast. Imma try the tinted though!

I’d highly recommend the purito comfy water sunscreen! I bought it on Amazon and there is no cast! One of my favorites! The Beet shield is also one of my favorites

I’ve reviewed the comfy water! Not a fun unfortunately. It did leave a slight cast, but more so, it would pill and the texture wasn’t very elegant. The Beet Shield slaps though
@ I just found it! Found you after watching James Welsh's new video. I am much more pale than you, so I didn't notice a white cast. I also noticed the pilling but only if I had used extra emollient moisturizers. My favorite routine is pretty much the whole KraveBeauty line, so I can usually wear the comfy water sunscreen without any pilling. Loving your channel!

More than likely yes! Imma be real and say even this version could work, but I've had more success finding the non-tinted one in store. I haven't played with it to compare the texture though and see if they're 100% the same formulation

Have you experienced any clogged pores or breakouts? 2) I haaate the smell of cucumber -- does this smell like it?

I had no issues with this, and I have very acne prone skin, I wore this in Chicago summer humidity, and with a mask AND makeup on. Truth be told while an ingredient might have some sort of comedogenic potential, that could honestly be based on the using the pure product at 100% concentration versus the smaller portion used in a product. And I didn’t think it had any cucumber-y smell. It really didn’t have a smell to me at all.
Mousse-y? Does that mean it’s comparable to the Australian gold tinted face? I’ve been trying to replace it for awhile now. The eucalyptus extract is getting to me.

I like this one a little more. This is more lightweight to me tbh, and isn't as mattifying as the Australian Gold.

Imma be real and say that the 2.4% Zinc Oxide is a low number, but all in all, I'm still positive it offers sufficient protection even though it doesn't seem like it would. I'm not sure all the knitty gritty (I still have yet to get into my formulation classes) but the rest of the formulation plays a big part in the overall protection factor of a sunscreen as well? So the 2.4% ZO + the 5.3% Titanium Dioxide and everything else combined play a part in the higher SPF with such a low concentration
What kind of products do you use before using this sunscreen brand? I had the impression I’d be okay with just sunscreen so long as I applied hyaluronic acid underneath. I’m fairly new to skin care though and have so many questions would love to hear your opinion on how to optimize using this tinted sunscreen
Could you review Walgreen's sensitive skin sunscreen? It's a hybrid sunscreen and very affordable, $3 for 3 ounces! I've heard that it's a dupe for Elta MD

omg nothing is a stupid question here! I'd recommend with shorter hair to work sunscreens in to at least your hairline. If you have a SHAVED head, then yes, since your skin is so exposed. And no, especially with more gentle filters (US mineral, international chemical) it shouldn't burn. Thank you so much for the kind words ❤️

I've been debating on and off whether or not I want to include the sunscreen on my channel, but to be frank, it's such a high price point for the amount of product you get. I've seen a good amount of darker skin individuals try it out and love it, but it's not 100% aligned with the products I like to recommend and feature on my platform. So unless I get it in PR, I don't intend on reviewing it. Sorry!
In order for spf to keep you protected, it has to be reapplied every 90 mins. What do you use to reapply when wearing makeup? Do you reapply?

This is definitely true for maintaining high quality protection through high UV exposure. I prefer chemical sunscreens for reapplication. You can also use sprays. If you need to stick to mineral sunscreens, there are some nice lightweight gel texture ones from Pyunkang Yul and Suntique, for example, but they don’t have amazing protection, therefore id only consider them for reapplication purposes.

For the most part, no. If this had a PA?PPD rating, this would by no means be above a PA+++. MOST mineral sunscreens are already only a PA+++ anyways and PA isn't even the most reliable UVA rating either. With the TD in the formula, I'm a lil more confident in it, plus the other aspects of the formulation. Moderate SPF ratings with low UV filter concentrations is something I'm super interested in, but what it comes down to is the entire formulation as a whole, so in that regard I trust it does offer decent protection. I just don't think mineral filters come close to what the asian and european uv filters can offer.
I love how you and The Style and Beauty Doctor have sunscreen series to educate people of color on sunscreen.

oooo yay! i have the same problem. i’m super light skinned so every tint i try looks like an orange mask on my face. i’ll have to try it now

This sunscreen is way too expensive ($18) for being 1.7oz and a drugstore brand
It’s def not cheap, but it’s also one of the few with minimal white cast as well with mineral filters
