I'm happily surprised that you liked this so much, I thought it was going to be too dewy for you! I keep blabbering on about this sunscreen because I want people with dark skin to know that they CAN use a high-zinc mineral sunscreen! And now the bar has been set for when brands give the excuse that high-zinc formulas can't be sheer.

Thanks for mentioning the bismuth oxychloride, which isn't mentioned in the ingredients list on Ulta. That's saved me money and time as I always react badly to that ingredient. Also you have an excellent approach to giving reviews - very detailed and systematic. Best wishes for your channel, degree, and other endeavours.

I’m a longgg time user of the cotz sensitive spf 40 mineral sunscreen which I LOVE. I am Indian with a deep skin tone so most mineral sunscreens leave a white cast, including the tinted sun bum one. And most chemical sunscreens leave me with breakouts or hyperpigmentation, including the korean ones I’ve tried so far. Only downside with this formula is it’s VERY emollient, but even though I have oilier skin this is worth it for me for the zero white cast, and my sensitive skin! I will say the flawless skin formula feels almost identical to me so it’s also worth it, but for whatever reason that one left me with breakouts so I’ll stick to the sensitive one!

This feels matte but moisturizing but not over the top moisturizing. I honestly love this sunscreen. I'm waiting on a new one by Elta MD. It's a tinted sunscreen. But this Cotz is a damn good one for sure. Thanks Ramon darling.😊🥰🤗

Question, do you apply sunscreen over your beard/mustache areas? I typically have a very short beard/mustache myself but I had problems applying tinted sunscreen on this area bc one it would kind of flake/clump I guess bc the texture of the beard? Two, with black facial hair applying a tinted sunscreen would lighten it looking all weird lol. Now I use a clear sunscreen bc I still want to cover my beard/mustache areas.

I used this sunscreen and did not like the experience. I was looking for the Kinship sunscreen at Ulta but it was out of stock, so I got this one instead. It certainly looked great and blended well, but it felt really occlusive to the point that my skin felt suffocated under it, and my skin is on the dry side. I did manage to use it up, though. I like that it is a bigger tube than most face sunscreens and is readily available at Ulta, but I prefer the feel of the Kinship sunscreen.

Hence I’m looking for a non- nano zinc sunscreen which is tinted :)

I use the un tinted version of this product and I find it to be greasy. I have very dry skin (as well a sensitive skin) so it takes a lot for me to say I think a product is greasy. I still use it though during the winter because my skin does get super dry and it doesn’t leave a white cast on my face. I can’t put makeup on with that sunscreen tho but I don’t have a problem using a different sunscreen on days I wear makeup because I don’t wear it everyday (I wear sunscreen everyday, not makeup tho).

    •  3 года назад +1

    •  3 года назад

Great question! This is the statement from their FAQ:
CōTZ sunscreens contain a proprietary blend of multiple-sized particles that form a protective physical barrier to reflect and refract UV radiation. In their raw state, some of these particles may be nano-sized, but before formulation the Titanium and Zinc Oxide particles are coated with inert ingredients, so they are “non-nano” as used in the products.

I did use this Cotz flawless 50 but it’s so greasy Lots of silicones, breaks me up

I've had quite a few people mention that it was very greasy for them. Considering I have more oily skin, I'm surprise I didn't have a horribly negative experience around this, BUT it is winter here in the UK and that might be a reason why. I definitely wouldn't consider this for summer usage for my skin.

I just wear it by itself during the day. It will break you out if you have serum or moisturizer or anything below the COTZ

I’m so confused. You didn’t find this oily or greasy at all?! I have oily skin & when I tried this it was just oil sitting on top of my skin ugh. It never dried down and felt gross. There’s so many reviews online that say the same as well even dry skin ppl too lol. I’m blown away, you didn’t find it greasy at all but moisturizing rlly?? Lol I find it so gross. Maybe I should order it from somewhere else idk bc I get it at Ulta & it’s gross. Maybe I use too much lol.. you said you got it from ur friend in the uk right? Maybe the formulation is different there lmao idk

      Did you moisturize underneath it?

@ No, so I have no idea why lol

Oh lol same. And I got OILY skin. I found it set down nicely and didn’t feel heavy or too occlusive. I was nicely glowy. IF it ever felt like too much, I would blot, but I rarely had to. Skin is very unique and so many factors go into people’s skincare experiences. Don’t you love how individual skin can be? Lol

I mean a lot of the reviewers on ulta found it a greasy mess too. Idk I really wanted to like it bc it doesn’t leave a white cast sigh..

Anyone from Canada here? Can we buy this one in Canada?

    • @JasontheMason5

I’m Canadian and I bought this using a package forwarding website. Only issue is that shipping cost more and is longer. It’s been over a month and it’s still not here (but that’s cause I chose the cheapest shipping option)

@@JasontheMason5 thank you for your reply. May I ask which website you used? I keep hearing about package forwarding websites but never tried any

      @@bumblebee5051 Yea sure :)
I used the website Planet Express

    • @JasontheMason5
      @JasontheMason5 3 года назад +1

Planet Express can ship anything in the US to worldwide, even if the store doesn’t ship to P.O. Boxes (which was a struggle for me)
They have 2 locations in the US (California and Oregon) if you ship it to Oregon there’s no sales tax, but the drawback is that it takes an extra week of shipping, and it’s only for paid members. (I believe it’s $50 a year) They also have a location in the UK
And if you have a paid membership, you can consolidate packages. So grouping multiple packages into one to lower the cost of shipping
I recommend paying for the membership only if you buy a lot online
